Anybody no what's going on with cornell glenn,I know spann left with an injury but if cornell still on the team it could only mean he has recovered enough to play.Still he's absent in most of the friendlies.

I was asking de same ting in my previous post!!!!

like i said in a next post, i think latas will start the sweden game because of his leadership and experience. somebody need to settle down the other players early on. he is the only choice. i would pack the midfield in the first half with a lone striker. depending on how things going i would then partner stern with kenwyn. latas could get a rest second half

AGREED.....With our defense being so porous we need to give the opposition worries in their own half.  TIT for TAT on goals is the only way to survive.  And I don't understand what going on wit Cornell Glen...if he has recovered how come beenie ent play him yet.....is he going to give he a baptism of fire in one of our important opening games?  Sweden or England or is he resting him until the paraguay game?  Very strange!!!!

ppl on dis forum need to realize just bcz dey postin long time doh mean dey supportin de team more dan anybody else.  I supportin de team long b4 some ah dem was a dream in dey fada head!!! I is ah man when I was livin in Trini I use to go to all the semipro games dat ah had time to go to.....Now is the PFL...ah wish ah was back home to support de league bcz apparently ppl only know how to support de national team and not de grassrootz.......buh wah yuh go do?

Even in his old age it is clear that in order for Trinidad to perform well offensively in de World Cup dat de Little Magician have to be in th STARTING ELEVEN!!!

And it is my opinion that because of his age and experience Beenie has decided to rest him in these friendlies........Only giving him pigeon sweats here and dere.  I noticed in the game against Slovenia that when Latas came on the team were getting alot more scoring chances.

We and every country that we come up against knows that our defnese is Tata....All you have to do is put pressure on them and mistakes will be rampant.  They can handle the quick attacking teams who are constantly moving.

I think Beenie little Densil Theobald a lot of sweat because in the event of injury or Latas is tired, both him and Whitley will have to handle the middle.  Latas is the smartest footballer wee have on the team and Beenie knows this.......Remember he said Latas is like a coach on the field..(he follows instructions precisely).

Beenie preparing all 23 players for these 3 games....the guys who can adapt to the higher level of play don't need to play full 90 in warm up games!!!

Lemme hear what allyuh tink about dis possibility!!!

Just heard from one of my Asian friends who was watching the game.  In case non of you realize the commentators were actually making fun of us.  Saying that the Czechs were doing what ever they wanted and that we weren't ready for this level of football.

I hope dese guys can make us proud come next Saturday but unless we can produce a solid performance for at least 90 minutes we may just get embarrassed.  I know these are warmup games but we are the only team going into the world cup whose defense looks like an under-14 team.

Some how or de other I have a feeling Beenie already have a formation and team planned for that first game and all the friendlies is gimmick.   De startin eleven going to include Latas as he is the best reader of the game on the team.

If that is the case and we put on a good show against Sweden...then he is truly ah boss.

Football nowadays is about fitness and using yuh head.  How yuh think the USA getting better all the time and can beat any team in the world on any given day.

Skill is important but it can be substituted for hard work.  However, the skill level of the defenders on all the top teams is very high and it shows in their composure on the ball.  Mistakes at the back are rear at this level and has to be forced by the opposition.  But with our defense a mistake can happen at any time.

It may be too late to correct this flaw, so Beenie will have to resolve that our best defense will be our offense.  We will need some excellent performances by our strikers in order to withstand the pressure.  One striker definitely will not be sufficient.  We have to outscore our opponents!!!

Personally I think the SOCA WARRIORS play a more disciplined game when we are away from home.  And even more so when we play in Europe. 

I don't know if it is because the guys feel more professional when they are in Europe because that is where they are based OR whether the travel back and forth for home games tends to unsettle them somewhat.

But I think they will put up a much better showing the rest of warm up games in Europe

I agree that it wasn't the best performance by the Soca Warriors but Beenie knows what he is doing.  He is getting the team to play more possession football.  Let us face it for years Trinidad has always played exciting attacking football...that is our style.  However, our agressive attacking style has not been able to hold up to international standards as we play as group of individuals, not a TEAM.  Now, beenie is introducing us to Total Football as it is played in Holland.
We have guys who can always score goals....(Stern, Kenwyne, Yorke, Latapy, Scotland, Glenn)....All Beenie is doing now is introducing DISCIPLINE to the team so when they get to Germany they will have composure against the top teams in the world.

SALARY STRUCTURE 
 
The opening of the 2006 World Cup in Germany is five weeks away, but already the U.S. players selected to play in the June 9-July 9 competition will cash in.

Under terms of a deal brokered last year between the U.S. Soccer Federation and the U.S. National Soccer Team Players' Association that runs through 2010:
Each player named receives $37,500.
Each player earns $3,750 for each game the U.S. team plays.
The team will earn $150,000 for each point in the standings in the three first-round games (three points for a win, one for a tie) it accumulates, with a $2.775 million bonus awaiting should it progress to the knockout phase. That bonus alone works out to approximately $120,652 for each player.
The team receives additional bonuses for advancing to the quarterfinals ($2.25 million), semifinals ($2.625 million) and the final ($3 million). Winning the World Cup would earn an additional $3.75 million; finishing third is worth $500,000.


The 2002 team that advanced to the quarterfinals paid out $200,543 a player.

A friend of mine just gave back his 3 tickets to the Sweden game to the FIFA ticket portal that opened this morning.  So those who still dreamin of going to the World Cup here is your chance to the T&T in their first World Cup game in history.

And NO my partner is not crazy....he just can't make it for personal reasons!!!!
