Keeping players together does not necessarily mean togehter all the time.

Maybe it can be achieved by having a strong national program whereby the players are regularly brought together to play international games.

I seem to remember Lincoln Phillips mentioning that his plan was to do just that at the junior levels....male and female.

I heard he even tried to implement such a plan but was railroaded when the TTFF did not appoint coaches for the teams.

Maybe the real attitude problem lies with Maturana?

There is nothing transparent when it comes to Jack Warner.  His head is big and opague and he loves to spread half truths and blatant lies.

He has created an empire not dissimilar to the one created by the DuValiers of Haiti.  Instead of Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvalier, we have Papa Forrid and Baby Forrid Warner.

These bastards have been stealing for so long that they actually believe in their hearts that they own T&T football.  Do you know that Baby forrid was once the treasurer of the TTFA?

Can you imagine having the cat pussy in charge of the pigeon coop?

Oliver Camps has no balls and has the testicular fortitude of a  french man in a war.  He should change his title from president of the TTFF to Resident of the TTFF as he simply sits his ample ass in a comfy chair collecting welfare from Jack much like an unemployed project whore collects welfare cheques from the government du jour.

Groden is another clown, he in his capacity as Jack's bamsee licker gives us occassionally the flavour of the day.  His penchant for sniffing Jack's farts and declaring in the press what jack consumed for breakfast, lunch and dinner is a rare art!  He is the true mouth piece of the TTFF, with Shaun Fuentes relegated to being a mousy echo.

Fuentes is not unlike Camps, why give up a good thing?   I get paid to write shit, that is often bereft of decent writing protocol, poor grammar, mis-information and frequent blasts from Jack's ample, dimpled and pimpled bamsee.

But I digress, the topic was the lack of TTFF's transparency and here I come exposing their dirty toilet business, back to the topic at hand.

Transparency will destroy Jack, and to deflect attention from his obviously devious book-keeping, he has created a war with the Minister of Sport.  The focus is now on an on-going war of words and an attack on the PNM rather than a focus on the malfeasance within the TTFF.

Smoke screen!

Lasana and Jennings could bark at the moon for as long and as hard as they can, Jack eh changing at all, at all.  Unless he is exposed with the smoking gun in his hand nutten changing.

He was caught in crookedness, but in this land of bachannal and jump and wave, all he has to do is throw a fete, bring Brazil down and he has bought more time.  We are truely a nation that has a seven day memory, and that is precisely why we have governmnets like we have.

Fazeer does not report on anything!  He gives his opinions and those are often coloured with prejudice (not racial eh)  Just clarifying.

He is rarely objective so take his ramblings for what they are worth, remember what they say about opinions!

What about Track & Field / Angry Christie makes racism claim
« on: June 20, 2008, 09:33:48 AM »
Angry Christie makes racism claim

Christie was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1993
Former Olympic champion Linford Christie has claimed there is "institutionalised racism" in Britain.

And Christie, who won 100 metres gold at the 1992 Olympics, is adamant he should have carried the Olympic torch on its way through London in April.

"I think there's institutionalised racism in this country," Christie told BBC Radio 4. "How many black knights from British athletics do you know?

"I've achieved more single-handedly than any other sportsman in (Britain)."

Christie was banned for life by the British Olympic Association in 1999 after he failed a routine drugs test.

That test came following an indoor meet in Germany at a time when he was in semi-retirement from racing, but he has always denied intentionally taking performance-enhancing drugs.

I have nothing good to say about Sebastian Coe at all, absolutely nothing

Linford Christie
The Jamaican-born Londoner, however, had already been cleared of an earlier offence when he tested positive for pseudoephedrine at the 1988 Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee voted by an 11-10 margin to accept his explanation that the substance had come from a legal ginseng drink.

The British authorities also accepted his 1999 explanation that tainted supplements caused his positive test but the sport's governing body rejected his claim and banned him for two years.

Christie believes the doping controversy has led to him failing to get the recognition he feels he deserves.

"If you look to what we've achieved in sport all this, nandrolone [the drug he was banned for taking] and all this thing aside, how many black knights have we had in British athletics?" he told the On The Ropes programme.

"I've achieved more single-handedly, I'd say, than any other athlete or any other sportsman in this country."

Christie is the only Briton to have won 100m gold at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, European and World Championships.

Given his record, he feels he should have been included in the group of around 80 athletes, former athletes and celebrities who carried the torch through London.

"For me, I look at track and field and what I did in the sport, it's like going to war," he said.

"I went out there and I battled against other countries and put British sprinting on the map and so therefore I don't think it's something I should want to do, I think it's something I should be asked to do."

Are Christie's comments justified?
Chirstie also fired another salvo in his long feud with Lord Coe, the chairman of London 2012's organising committee, questioning what he had done for British athletics.

"I'm still bitter about him, I cannot stand the guy and, to be honest, I wish we didn't even talk about it because I have nothing good to say about Sebastian Coe at all, absolutely nothing," said Christie.

Their bitter dispute stems from a newspaper article Coe wrote in 2001 which criticised Christie's attitude towards the sport, his suitability as a role model and his "boorish behaviour" on the track.

Coe also attacked his captaincy of the British athletics team, saying: "I sat in one team meeting when (Christie) made himself deliberately unintelligible to all but those who had a passing knowledge of jive."

Christie reacted furiously to this claim and suggested Coe's criticism had a "racial connotation".

The 48-year-old now owns Nuff Respect, a management company, and mentors and coaches young athletes.

ok friend take win.

Before Robbie and before salary cuts we had the brain drain in T&T.

Might be before your time though, but it is senseless making this a arguement.

There are myriad immigrants from all over the world..some make it some don't.

If you look at a country such as America and you take a look at Obama you will get my point.

In fact America was built on immigration...stands to reason that the majority of immigrants succeed at some level there.

The truth is what it is.

I am sure truetrini knows that his party has a history that is great but one that is also tarnished by greed, corruption and graft.

As for the USA, they were truely complicit in destroying the PNM....indirectly as their intent was simply punishing T&T for ignoring their call for an illegal attack on Grenada.

Chambers stood his ground and paid the price for what was just and right.

Reagan lied to the world about Grenada.

The treasury was indeed empty...it was emptied by Johnny O and his cohorts and by eric's indulgences to the civil service.

to this day members of the civil service in trinidad and Tobago don't do a fair days work for a fair days pay.

Thank Eric Williams for that.

I hope that I am not being to pushy, but allow me if you will to expound on how good T&T's BEST ever PM was.

His name was george Michael Chambers.

He faced an almost impossible task of diversifying T&T's post oil boom economy, his policies were very unpopular but ultimately laid the foundation for T&T's future economic boom and boon.

respected T&T economist Llyod Best referred to Chambers as a "BETTER Minister of finance than even Eric Williams."

Best furhter went on to say that Chambers: "Always knew his material and had a great sweep of the large strategic concerns of the country.''

he easily won his first election after succeeding Eric but lost by a huge margin the following election largely due to his unpopular but greaty needed economic reform policies and his attempts to divserify the economy.  I believe that was in 86'    he evn ost his own seat in that election.

he would later die of a heart attack while getting treatment for prostate cancer.

He served in many ministeries, a quiet man, but a man of great knowledge and a willingness to listen to others.

when the US came attempting to put pressure on T&T to join invading Grenada, Chambers stood up to them and rightly kept T&T out of that nonsense.  he was often portrayed as being a dunce, but the truth was far from that, he was a highly intelligent and resourceful man.

It is MY personal beleif that this was the undoing of his political career as the US retaliated with severe and draconian measures to disrupt the T&T economy thru the IMF.  T&T needed a 100million loan and the IMF said ok, but you have to impose certain measures.  (can't remember them all so i looked it up)

1.  10% cut in salares on all pub;lic servants
2.  slash all government subsidies to public utilities
3.  elimination of personal tax reliefs
4.  reducing the corporate tax rate from 49 1/2% to 45%
5. before this UWI was free, after this loan all students had to pay 10% of tuition costs

there were more measures that were forced upon T&T, this caused Chambers to lose the election badly, men like Panday had a field day.

It was clear case of US interference in the politics and policies of T&T, retaliation for saying hell no to the Grenadian invasion.

The rest is history, but he was a good PM, the best really.

PS Ellis Clarke, then President appointed Chambers over Kamal and Errol Mahabir....no one really knows why, the Pres himself said he changed his mind the night before the appointment...he did not say why though.

In 1973, Eric said he was resigning as political leader of the PNM, there was supposed to be a run off election between Kamal Mohammed and Karl hudson Phillips for political leader of the PNM, but williams reversed his decision and came back, this led to a rift between him and Karl....a calypso named Ah fraid karl by sparrow made the rounds.  lol

Football / Re: Warrior franchise needs urgent repair.
« on: June 19, 2008, 06:28:05 PM »
Lasana has not even begun to expose the depths of Jack Warner's dark empire.

Jack Warner has so many people in his pockets that he will not be deposed.  He changed the TTFA's constitution to ensure his continuance ad that of his panty men.

He aligned himself with men like Shuan Fuentes, Oliver Camps and Richard (you can call me Dick) Groden who does his bidding without so much as a whimsical wonder.

Jack Warner is not a cancer on Trinidad and Tobago's fotball.  He is THE Cancer.

He further aligned himself with Basdeo Pandy, a man with ambitions of power, but who is in reality the biggest thief in the history of T&T!  Ask yourself why?

He masterminded the Ticket or leave it fiasco in order to rob blindly the coffers of the TTFF and the purses of the general public.

He falsified many documents to rob the people of T&T through the generosity of the Government.

He brought in coaches who would not raise objections to his interference, men like Wim, Corneal and Maturana who have no morals.  Wim collected his pay under false pretenses as is ANton nCorneal and Maturana.  Simoes was the only coach in recent history to stand his ground, eventually being undone by Jack Warner!

Who says that their is no honour among thieves?

Jack Warner in 3 short years after mortgaging his home had a healty bank balance, several businesses and trucks as well as construction equipment...ask yourselves how he was able to do so.

Jack Warner made millions from the South Koreans and got the Centre of Excellence built in T&T, how?

He gave them support for hosting the World Cup  that is how.   He got an award from a South American nation as some sort of hero, why?  Because he supporteds their efforts to host a youth tournament.

The princely sum of 1 dolar for Televison rights, yet he made 1 million re-selling the rights...why nothing went into the often empty coffers of the TTFF?

Valentino Singh wrote Jack's footballing hiostory, it was readily available on the WWW, not now, ask yourselves why.

Lincoln Phillips came as a contract worker to provide Technical Direction to the T&T football teams, he was quickly emasculated, castrated even, and sits collecting his pay without so much as a peep when he sees the damage Jack and Corneal is doing to T&T's football.  What a shame, what a damn shame really!

Word is he privately berates the goings-on, but publicly is mute on the destruction, sad indeed.

What is really going on in Trinidad and Tobago's football is a holocaust, an entire generation of players are being wiped out, nations like Bermuda are confident of victory when they face T&T, Jamaica expects an easy victory whenever they face us, the Americans, Mexicans and Costa Ricans see us as 3 sure points and Jack Warner plays monopoly with the National team.
