Ever since Latapy take over Birchall has been slowly pushed to de sidelines.  At least dais how it look from my point of view.  Birchall and Carlos Edwards would be the first two players in my starting 11 once dey not injured.  Birchall may not have de flair that Latapy likes but  his fighting spirit is second to none on de national team.

If I was coaching the national team Birchall would be a fixture in my lineup.  With the exception of Carlos Edwards his work rate on the field for T&T is unmatched.

It was sickening to see him under utilized by the two coaches we had for this failed campaign.

I hope Costa Rica somehow manage to finish in the top three.  I would prefer Mexico or de US to finish in fourth place.  Mexico because I think they could beat the fifth south american team or the US because I want them to get beat by the fifth place south american team.

small mag just 2 questions, what the hell you and others see in dog in the back, thats better than thomas and abu bakr? please enlighten me, besides the fact that dog is playing in the UK and why would you replace tinto with birchall especially since we are looking for creativity for our 2 forwards in the midfield and tinto brings that when birchall doesnt, especially since we have noel playing the holding mid position and is also a ball winner who could actually pass better than birchall?

I want to know the same thing?

any words having to do with speed like fast, or faster should never be mentioned in de same sentence with any of our centre backs.  They are all slow.

The correct thing so say is that Abu Bakr and K. Thomas are not as slow as Dog.

so if they not as slow as dog, since i assume you did time trials with the team, wouldnt that mean they are faster?

Sorry, next time I will use the skin teeth yellow face so yuh know I was being sarcastic.

First off, Good Luck Scott!!! Prove the nay-sayers wrong!! Secondly, thank you Trinidogg and Just Cool! Glad to know that you guys see what I see! Form is temporary, class is permanent! As for everybody else, watch Scott's boots do his talking for him!

I hoping for good things from him and expect he will be signed soon.  He is a very decent club baller so he will get ah contract soon enough.  But he doesn't live up to the potential and expectations and that is frustrating.


Just cool, SS get he chance in the NT an tutu dong heself but yuh eh holdin dat against him and rather him than a scorching hot KB?  And you supposedly care bout TnT football?  Notice he on trial which means he currently UNATTACHED, yet he is a better option? 

So wait , lemme ask yuh this one! how come baptiste so good and cyar get an over sea contract? almost every one who played with him on the national team got ah trial except him, theobald probably went on the most trials and he's ah medocre player @ best, hardest, hislop, toussant, spann, williams, roberts, but KB never even got ah look @, so how come he soooooooo good and he can't seem tuh impress nobody! BTW, my pl;ayer is 2 for 2 and he scoring nuff goals tuh boot!

When Theobald retire from football he next career move should be either ah lawyer or ah judge wid all de dam trials he had already.

So ah old fart like Lyndon Andrews could get recalled to de national team after about 10 decades but Darryl Roberts is still left off de team?

Colin Samuel get dropped after scoring.  Supposedly because he doh play defense but Keon Daniel started the last game?

Silvio Spann looked much more effective playing in central midfield against Costa Rica and Mexico (it is also his natural position) but Latapy moved him back to right against El Salvador where once again he looked shakey.

Why is Marvin Andrews still on the team but Sancho and Julius James cyah even get ah look?

So far since Latapy has been in charge all I see is a continuation of the same crap we used to blast Maturana for.  A different starting lineup in every game.  Players getting dropped after scoring.  Certain players not being given a chance.

Somebody remind meh why we get rid of Maturana again?

How could you claim that it's a slight just based on the statistics?  Do you know what's going on in those players heads?  If my preference is to date Caribbean women is that a "slight" against women from the rest of the world?

it's not about what going on in any one player's head.  there is a large class of individuals who almost uniformly make the same choice when provided with a variety of options.

Really?  So which committee helped each player make their choice when each individual player made his choice of wife/girlfriend.

A win is a win. It was not pretty. It was not quality. It was not exciting. But in the end it was the result, this country wanted. T&T’s 1-0 defeat of El Salvador can only be described as necessary and timely, given the precarious position of the Soca Warriors before our sixth World Cup Qualifying encounter. While many have expressed dissatisfaction with the performance and the way our players collectively seemed to have fallen “asleep” in the second half, whether through a lack of fitness or a weakness in their mental attitude, in the end we won.

But is that good enough? Would it have been better for us to have lost that encounter in front of a sweltering (but timid) crowd of 19,000 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium? There is a school of thought, that this victory, has only prolonged the agony, and it is only a matter of time for these senior players, who are all nearing the end of their international careers. A loss would have meant investment in youth and a plan for the future.

That is ah big assumption on de part of Andre Baptiste, especially given the history of de TTFF.

When I saw Leon in de starting lineup over Birchall I was shocked.  Leon looked like shit last night.  He plays like he has no brain.  I watched Leon play in the two W-Connection games against NY and he looked like garbage in those games too.

Since Beenie and Wim left Birchall seems to be in de doghouse.  Why?  I have no idea.
