Such was Robson’s reaction, perhaps it is as famous as the goal itself: the Englishman left speechless, with his hands on his head, as he looked at the equally-astounded Compostela fans behind him. Even though Robson had already witnessed brilliance from the likes of Ray Crawford (Ipswich), Paul Gascoigne (England), Romário (PSV), Luís Figo (Sporting) and Russell Latapy (Porto) over the years, he was quick, given the initial pressure of Ronaldo’s world-record transfer fee, to pay tribute:

That traffic from Port of Spain was ridiculous yesterday...

It take me 45 mins to get from Licensing Office to Powergen on Wrightson Road, after that I say nah lemme go and bat some beers and wait for it to cool. They really have to come up with another alternative, them Friday evening games not practical for anyone coming out of POS.

Reach down at the start of the 2nd game, went and hail FS and he look sour enough to season a whale lol... Hard luck it does happen, i hear allyuh play all the ball 2nd half.

They had a decent turnout for the games, much more than I accustomed seeing. W.Conn vs Civic game was low key for the most part and Point Fortin was frustrating their supporters but the game had some moments.

The 2nd W.Conn goal was a beauty, a cross field ball to find Joevin on the right, an immaculate turn to leave his marker... He chook thru for the forward and run to the pk spot to collect the one two and lash it up in the roof of the net.

Joevin in terms of natural talent is clearly a cut above but if anything he needs to work on his consistency throughout the game. Was also impressed with Jomal Williams and the Brazilian right back is very assured.

a 6 minute tactical analysis of some of the weaknesses in Moyes' new system, with also touching on how it fared against Southampton's 4-2-3-1.

Interesting video but if anything, it glaringly highlights the effect of the whole "Fergie Factor" which has nothing to do with Moyes or his tactics at all.

Looking at the video and the amount of bodies Southampton were willing to commit forward and press Man Utd high, it is almost like they had zero fear and really believed they could win that game.

I am sure had Fergie been there, Soton was going to Old Trafford with that kinda gung ho.. In fact how many times in the past have we seen teams go up one or two goals on Man United and retreat into a shell in the second half to try to hold a result and get punished for it.

Sides smelling blood with Man United right now.

Of course, i'm thoroughly enjoying it week after week.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs New Zealand Game (15-Oct-2013).
« on: October 17, 2013, 05:55:15 AM »
Guys, hard luck with not getting the live feed up for the game on Tuesday..

Andre and I got to the stadium around 5:30, set up our "fan zone" and tested and everything was working perfectly. As soon as people start streaming into the stadium, the internet connection dropped to a trickle and left us hanging. We were only able to get out some pockets of audio commentary throughout the game.

At least now we have a better idea of what needs to be done and we'll try to put everything in place ahead of the next home game to avoid those issues.

Stay tuned!

Yes peeps, we giving this thing a shot here trying to do a live "fan zone" type stream from the stadium..

If all goes well hopefully we can provide an alternative to the traditional heart attack radio commentary available online.

Have no idea how this will come off as neither myself or Andre have done this before so bear with us. We'll try our best, and this is just a start that we hope to improve on down the road on behalf of the SWO.

The link will be posted later as soon as it is up and running, stay tuned here for updates.
