Football / Re: Terry Fenwick badtalking us in the UK press
« on: June 05, 2006, 08:23:52 AM »
Doh get chain up by UK stories..the amount of lies they print about Dwight Yorke already. This article too bad to be real. Honestly, I doh feel Fenwick dumb enough to criticise Whitley. Tha's his star boy and he have to play under him when he come back. And comparing him to Brian Lara? No way...
Fenwick was a professional footballer...to say those things would be tantamount to suicide. Plus he next in line to coach us, so why burn bridges? Nobody in the football world figure they could say those things and it not make it into the public domain.

TnT could do a lot better than Terry Fenwick for national manager. He has a very poor record as a manager and whilst he may be able to do good things with Jebolteh, I think he would not live up to the high standards set by Leo.

plus he get dat last critical beat from maradona's goal of de century...

Maybe the journalist shouldve asked Terry Fenwick when his time come and gone, what he will be most remembered for in his lifetime...

hint] not his opinions on sport...  not coaching jabloteh...

2006 World Cup - Germany / Re: Advice on a camera please??
« on: May 30, 2006, 07:44:52 AM »
some people might not know the difference btwn converters or adaptors, so I'll explain....if this is redundant to some hard luck, and if i say someting wrong correct meh please   ;D

some appliances can only handle 1 kinda current e.g. 110....e.g. some shavers, radios etc
therefore you will need a converter(to convert de current) AND an adaptor(to stick een de plug in de socket)

some appliances can handle both currents e.g. 110 and 220/230....e.g. most laptops, camera chargers - therefore you will only need an adaptor(to stick een de plug in de socket)

N.B. there different kinds of converters so make sure yuh buy de right one(corresponding to yuh appliance)....
also most hotels already have them in place for international guests

a problem in the uk is that shavers normally operate at 50hz while uk frequency is 60hz, causing the shaver to become a real noisy, overcharged power tool/weapon... this happens both with adaptors and converters and what is needed is a transformer which not cheap..

whats the frequency in germany would this be a problem?

8532
superoli.. you approached me at busspepper party and ask me to make you a deal not to publish reports about what yuh get in de sweat... i say aight...

how yuh go spin round now and hit a next man shots?

2006 World Cup - Germany / German E-plus SIM card
« on: May 25, 2006, 04:54:25 AM »
Just bought 2 on ebay for £3 each plus £2.50 shipping...

I first checked out my phone at the orange store to get them to confirm that my model will work in Germany with the correct frequency etc..

Just need to top up when I get over there.. I think this is a necessity to be contactable with ppls over in Germany without having to pay exorbitant roaming rates. Also good to allow people back home to contact you at a german number without you having to pay for incoming calls.

recommended....

if chelsea buy roberto carlos, it would be not mourinho's buy but a galactico style buy from upstairs..

mourinho never likes to buy big stars.. for all the cry people cry bout de money spend, the players that chelsea bought are not regarded superstars and their success is all about the team first concept..

but this rounds like de board making dem buys like ballack, and possibly sheva, tevez and carlos...

Referee regrets Lehmann red card

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/4993994.stm

Referee Terje Hauge has admitted he may have acted too quickly in sending off Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann during Barcelona's Champions League triumph.
Hauge dismissed Lehmann in the 18th minute for fouling Samuel Eto'o, with Ludovic Giuly's resulting effort ruled out as Hauge had blown for a free-kick.

"I would have liked to have taken a few more seconds before I made a decision," Hauge told a Norwegian newspaper.

"If I'd done that, I could have given a goal and given a yellow card as well."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and captain Thierry Henry have both slammed Hauge's performance in Paris and claimed his decisions favoured the Spanish side.

But the Norwegian said he was pleased with his overall display as Barcelona won the match 2-1 thanks to goals from Eto'o and Juliano Belletti.

And he said the Lehmann incident was a difficult one to judge after the German became the first player to be sent off in a European Cup final.

He added: "We had full control of the match and all in all I'm quite happy with my performance.

"Under other circumstances I would perhaps have done something different with Lehmann, but this mostly rested on the positioning in relation to the situation.

"Everything happens quickly on the pitch and for me it looked as if there was physical contact.

"As well as that it happened in the linesman's working area and I had no reason to doubt him in this instance.

"It was obviously a big game for Arsenal, and to lose is a huge disappointment so I understand their frustration. But we'll have to give it a few days so we can discuss this more sensibly."
