Anybody know how good is Abiola Clarence ?

Abi is naturally able to use both feet(shooting, trapping, passing the ball),the older he's gotten the better he's become....as a striker he has good positioning, technical ability and skill..
the only thing i can criticise about his game is that (at times) he will embarass a defender and wait for him to recover to do it again(this has been the source of some of his injuries). At his best he will punish the best defence single handedly.

*Was good enough in form 1 to make the St. Anthony's intercol team with the likes of Gary Gibbings,Marcus Rodriquez,Shawn Cooper,Carlos Edwards,Damien Westfield etc..but was deemed as too small(physically) to suit up.

Fellas, ah sorry if allyuh take mih the wrong way when I mentioned about the PH cars and thing.  I really didn't mean it in a bad way.  I was just reporting on information that come mih way as the man from up on my side.

The thing is that word on the block is that the man just not interested in football now.  He not on the Jabloteh starting team.  I hear he sweating in a minor league in San Juan, but I would take that with a pinch of salt because PFL players not supposed to be playing in them leagues...they get fined.

Another thing is that PH is not a respectable profession.  Yeah PH is the only way some of us will reach home in the night, but is still against the law.  The trade is also linked to kidnapping, raping, road rage etc etc.  But is not Aurtis involved personally, he have men wukking the cars for him.  In the larger context, a man might get $100 to $150 a day for six days.  That is basically US$100 a week...US$400/mth.  Rippin if you in grad school, that is hardly something to come back home to.  The money probably done, because that is what he used to buy the cars and the bling.

All that apart, men just hurt that another potential great footballer gone to seed...not in old age, but in his youth.   The warriors was supposed to be role models and icons in the community, but we not really seeing that.  It sad, because where Aurtis come from that is the life he know from small and choose to live out now.

The big money makers CLICO and Jerry Hospedales and them coulda provide some counselling and financial advise for the man.  Anyway, is his life to live, and he certainly not hungry right now.

de man almost 30..so i don't know what youth yuh referring to pardners...he is not no yorke or latapy..so his pre WC performances and WC performances aside i honestly don't see no foreign club running him down to sign him..let de man bling in piece nah..lol

hoe..hear meh good please..i 100% for murderers getting lick down...but to me in this particular case something jus doh seem right..i know it have some dunce criminals and on de flip side it have some with endless belly...but to shoot at(muchless open fire) at a van/car full of police with a .38 ONLY doesn't make too much sense to me..i wasn't there so i obviously doh know what transpire..but i figure is either one outta de two..
1.de men open fire first  and de police kill everything after

allyuh cyah want it both ways nah it cyah wuk so. let de man and dem do dey wuk
wah u hoping that de gangs work it out on they own and restore de status quo like it had before? dat eh go happen one ass.
if a man shoot behind you your refelx is to shoot back.
u admit u hadd aprotect yuh self when u home caus ehow it is..and babylon cyah do it...eh no wah
shoot dem.

where in my post it say i arguing on anybody behalf??...listen to me fadder..all i say is TO ME this particular situation doesn't seem as cut and dry as it's been presented or maybe it did go down that way....

if all de police in de place decided to take a kill everything that move..then what..if dey find yuh look suspicious yuh could get shoot for reaching for yuh cell phone on yuh hip...

i hear yuh points and agree with de things yuh say..but it have a big difference between protecting yuhself, enforcing de law and killing at will, excessive force..and when i say that i'm not talking about this case..i'm talking bout in general.

Four men were killed in a shoot-out with the police in Chaguanas on Friday night, less than two weeks after Police Commissioner Trevor Paul declared an all-out war against criminals.

In a news conference at Police Headquarters, Port of Spain, yesterday, Paul said one of the shot men was a suspected kidnapper and two were gang leaders from Laventille.

Relatives of the fourth man claimed he was not involved in any criminal activity and was in the "wrong place at the wrong time". (See story below.)

Commenting on the deaths, a tough-talking Paul reiterated the statement he made following the slaying of WPC Elizabeth Sutherland, members of her family and a friend on January 23, that police would now be matching the aggressiveness of criminals. He denied an allegation made by Caroni East MP Ganga Singh in Parliament last Friday that there was a "death squad" in the Police Service, but made it clear that police would no longer be treating with criminals "with kids' gloves on".

Paul said the police Command Centre received a report that the four men-Uriah Chase, brothers Rommel and Owen Sandy, and Cliff Abraham-were in the Chaguanas area and had been seen pointing a gun at someone.

He said the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department and the Central Division Task Force responded to the report and spotted the car, PBU 2242, on the Caroni Savannah Road in Charlieville.

"Instead of stopping, the car sped off and a chase ensued. The police intercepted the car and the occupants opened fire on the police," Paul said.

He said the police opened fire on the four occupants, who were injured. They were taken to the Chaguanas Health Centre, but were pronounced dead.

A 0.38 mm Special revolver was recovered from the vehicle along with six spent rounds of ammunition, the Commissioner added.

He said Chase and Abraham were from Perseverance Village in Chaguanas, while the Sandy brothers were leaders of the Sandy gang based in St Barbs, Laventille. He referred to Abraham as the owner of the car. Rommel Sandy was also known as "Bumbles" while his brother was also called Sherwyn Sandy.

"This operation and interception would have been as a result of calls by members of the public bringing to the notice of the police the presence of these four men who were involved in illegal activities," Paul said.

"This emphasises the fact that to effectively manage crime there must be cooperation between the law-abiding citizens and the police," he continued, urging the public to continue to use the 555 and 999 hotlines as well as contacting Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS to report criminal activity.

Asked if he thought the police were responding too aggressively in light of Friday night's shooting and the shooting of two children in Carenage last week, Paul said his officers will continue to treat with criminals with the same aggressiveness they meet.

"If the police find themselves in situations (with criminals) which require a response in a way that could result in someone's death, then so be it," he declared.

and what i was saying about de gopaul and sepaul luck thing was that de same experience(s) you might have when home a FOREIGNER may not have..and with a FOREIGNER those chances of that experience being bad(given our country's present crime state) is 10 times higher than a local/foreign based with trini roots/links etc.

Do you all think this was so appropriate to post that stuff here in this thread. I am really ashamed of you first #8 for although you want to be Truth full about things. Blasting your country like that to someone that is interested in visiting is very low. No pride in your country then don't call yourself a trini. I believe you though might have been to do good but you may have caused more harm than Good. The ends doesn't justify the means. You might have overstepped the boundary with it.

There is a time and a place for everything and this was not the time . Cartman asked for some info about our lovely country and you made it seem like we have the worst country in the world. You overview on Trinidad & Tobago is very depressing and I can not believe that you view our land in such a negative manner (and I though I was bad).

Cartman, Trinidad & Tobago is a beautiful place two of the most beautifully islands you would ever see in your life time should you visit. If you have the opportunity and can afford it do not hessitate. For my one regret is that I can not afford to take my whole family with me therefore I would not go by myself. My wife and kids are from Germany and I often tell them of my homeland and all it has to offer. Yes it has crime but so does every country. You can die as you walk out your door or go to your regular grocery any where in the world. Infact most tragedies happen not far from your home(so you should be safe in Trinbago since you far from home  ;D).

I do read the news and I am very aware of the crime in T&T also in Germany, US, England, France, Brazil, Jamaica, Austria, Switzerland, etc.... I am saying this to say there is crime every where Do not let that stop you from having life....

Peace
www.myspace.com/dexterbfriday

last time i checked boss u were laughing at my post...
all i did was take a very serious crime situation and joked about it while giving what i thought was some good advice to a foreigner who said him and wife were planning on visiting T&T..

you are more than welcome do be disappointed with me..
please note that i told polished hoe the same thing..i'd recommend de man and his wife visit after our beautiful country gets a purge from the shit that's going on in it right now..
never did i say T&T or try to paint T&T as the worst place in the world...

every country has it's crime issues..even here in canada/toronto(ranked 3rd safest country/city in de world)bodies dropping left right and center...

i'm a young man that grew up in and around the crime element in two of T&T's toughest areas (behind the bridge, cocorite) and was fortunate to escape that and have 1st hand association and behind the scenes of that same element due to the fact that alot of peers i grew up with are still in it..and the way some of these think/act think i sometimes don't want to be around it...so knowing all this and more...i should send a total stranger to place where they could potentially have a encounter with one of these individuals..not just from the areas i mentioned but anywhere in the country..
i'd tell you the same if you were cartman...

maybe around 2000-2003 i would recommend him to go..but..now..especially as a foreigner..i'll repeat what i told him earlier..

i understand allyuh want ot be hoenst...but eh ebing truthful.most ah de murders as most people know is not tourists that get murdered. i eh think the rate ah hold in up of tourists is worse than anywhere else.

allyuh trying to say for example jamacia safer than trini eh eh no way.. yet its a tourist hub..steups eh ..if allyuh eh ave nuttin good to say doh say nuttin !!!!!!

difference with jamaica and us hoe....is that for de most part de don't F--k with what puts $ in their country/community...tourism..weed..stage show/parties etc...
and with all de f--ked up things we have to say about dem..dey have something we don't have...something called respect for de 'order' meaning even if a man from tivoli and ah man from spanish town have problems with eachother..and see eachother at a dance in either of those areas or elsewhere..they have to chill out till the next time dey see eachother..because dey have to respect de 'order' inforced by that area don/big men...

compare our cases of tourist attacks/murders to jamaica, barbados etc...
sadly to inform you but we ranking up top...
ah know yuh love yuh country..so do i..but facts is facts..and these are two facts

1.we beautiful lil country need a purge out...

2.seepaul luck is not gopaul luck(explanation can be given for this saying if needed)

I real real Happy for Roberts. :)

You could see the boy have something in Him. I glad he get a pro wuk and could develop even more.

Now this might be harsh to say.....and I know is a big combo of age, luck, talent, connections and hardwork.

But Roberts, Downing and the next fella from W-Con (Matthew Bartholomew) who get a contract were all young standouts. Does the move by these players reinforce the fact that the best get the opportunity and those in PFL are the remainder that cyar cut it?

All those who are star boys in TT have gotten trials in the past and still they remain here.

Now another thing that came to mind when I saw this........doe say is conspiracy neither eh but.

Could it be this move was on the cards a while now and Roberts, Baptisite, Bailey, Wiltshire, SEON POWER, Telesford etc. All have club watching them and they needed caps to make the transfers. Hence squeezing out Sealy and all the other PFL standouts who coulda play or make the side.

I waiting to see Seon Power get a pro contract abroad to reinforce my belief. Also Dwyane Jack was on trial with Wycombe before this digicel cup with two other Tobago United fellas and ent make it. Now from a footballing perspective I can see why but if is a transfer caps perspective then we could see why he make the team and get a run.

Not taking away these fellas are the best we have available. But the PFL or College standout of today is the foreign based pro of tomorrow.

We will never have a competent local core to match the best in Concacaf and the club (as we can see EVEN LOCAL) vs country obstacle will always continue to exist to the detriment of our football, but to the benefit of the individual player.

Anyhow all the best to ROberts, he have a bright future ahead of him and congrats. You have a fan here.

touches say de thing with a lil more conviction nah.. ;D
all corneal's player will get foreign contracts/countless tryouts..just rock back and watch..
youth+ talent+international caps = better looking resume, better chances of securing ah work permit..
all in all ah not vex...cause de more outside exposure for T&T players de better..

bless up to Darryl Roberts on his signing

Cartman, doh tudy them Trinidad and Tobago is nice, however keys things to remember

T&T is a petrol country, we don`t rely on tourism like other Caribbean islands. Tobago caters to toursit . I know alot of English , Germans , Europeans that spend alot of time in Tobago. So there is your safest bet. If you lookin to venture to Trinidad.............my advice is to make friends with a local to show you around !!

Trinidad nite life is exceptional, but Tobago is your best bet for a great vacation.

#8 remind me not to refer you to any work for the Tourist board.  ;D

no scene..ah sure dominican republic, puerto rico etc have openings in dey tourist board ;D

i jus giving de man some good advice till de place get a proper purge out from all de shit going on right now...i rather post de post i post above instead of a post saying..'shit boy just de other day cartman was online posting and thing,it f--ked up what happen to him and he wife..we beautiful country really gone through boy'...
