Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia is one of seven players who will leave Arsenal this summer when their contracts expire.

The shot-stopper will end an eight-year association with the club when his deal expires on 30th June.

Almunia kept 70 clean sheets in 175 appearances for the Gunners but fell out of favour last season.

The 35-year-old played four times during a loan spell at West Ham this term and has been linked with a return to Upton Park.

Of the other Arsenal players released, only defender Gavin Hoyte has first-team experience.

George Brislen-Hall, Sean McDermott, Rhys Murphy, James Campbell and Jeffrey Monakana will also depart Emirates Stadium.

This is ahh forum to voice our views on football matters not and English writing forum.
The first thing you have to implement when starting a new business or enterprise is a marketing plan.
There are proven methods of marketing which would include most of the stuff I posted and a lot more,  it would take a 10 page paper to complete. The Pro LEAGUE started in 1999 to help TTFF win the rights to host the Under  17 world cup. This was done for that sole purpose not to upgrade our football. I will not go into much detail because it’s irrelevant my point is this Pro League had three major changes in ownership in the last 10 years and no one has implemented a proper plan. The problem with you is everybody think they have to solution and nobody wants to implement it.

I would like to comment on this topic because I feel like I have some knowledge is the Marketing field. I ‘m work on my masters and it’s in Marketing. When a listen to these people talk about more market is needed I ask myself did the league have a plan yes marketing plan is required before you even start your business. One will notice that I said business you see the pro league operators may not see the pro league as a business. They may just see it as a means to make some money beg the government for hand outs and so forth.

I also ask this question did they the (Pro LEAGUE) determine what market in Trinidad they were going to focus on example young people between the ages of 18 – 25 or older people from 25-45 patrons with families, women, internet generation. How about this one who or what is my completion EPL, Spanish German hell all the league  that can be viewed on TV and internet. Have they the ( PRO LEAGUE) conducted surveys in Trinidad and Tobago to find out what percentage of the population is well and able to  go all over the island to view games or would they radder stay home a watch from the comforts off their homes.

What about product can the league put a product on the field that would have people coming out to see? Is it worth my time and energy. Is there a system to groom young player coming out of the school league. Is the public even aware of  the Pro League and what it means to hundreds of young players and why they need support. I’m afraid that the answer to these questions will never be answered because all this was supposed to be done before the league even started.

Roberts: No cash for TTFF for 2010 World Cup qualifying
By Julien Neaves

(Story Updated: Jan 31, 2012 at 11:02 PM ECT )

NO cash contributions were given to the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) in the national team's qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

This was reported in a written reply from the Sports Ministry to a question from Opposition Senator Fitzgerald Hinds on the type of financial support that had been provided in the past five years during the Senate sitting yesterday at Tower D, International Waterfront Centre, Port of Spain.

In 2007, the figure was more than $20 million, which fell to about $2 million the following year and $1 million the year after that, and then rose to $8 million last year. The breakdown given for the Ministry and Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SPORTT)  was as follows:

CONCACAF changes Champions League format
 taken from yahoo.com

tweet5EmailPrintNEW YORK (AP)—The preliminary round of the CONCACAF Champions League will be eliminated for the 2012-13 season, and the group phase will expand from 16 teams to 24.

Soccer’s governing body for North and Central America and the Caribbean said Thursday the first round will be extended from six weeks to eight and will start July 31 and end by Oct. 25. A team from the U.S. or Mexico will be in each of the eight first-round groups.

The winners of the three-team groups make the quarterfinals. In the past, 16 teams met in the preliminary round—eight advanced to the group phase and eight had byes.

Teams from the same nation can’t be in the same group unless one is a wild card replacing a team from a country without a suitable stadium.

Ok I like this FIFA this one has got to be the best one ever I’ve been playing  FIFA since 1998 have every game they put out and also play PES OR WINING 11. If you like the old defending system is because you are a pressure abuser or your just accustom to easy press tackle or bring second defender that tackles for you that was not real football now you have to time yah  tackles  yah can’t rush all the time you have to be patient that’s why its slower. I can’t say that I mastered the system however I understand it .lost to some friends but share some level cut A**this year would be fun lol oh yeah I got the early release from ea sport  season ticket.

Young winger Oxlade-Chamberlain shines for Arsenal
By FRANK GRIFFITHS, Associated Press

tweet0EmailPrintLONDON (AP)—Arsenal’s youngsters momentarily lifted the gloom after a horrid few months for the club, with speedy winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring the key goal in a 3-1 win against Shrewsbury in the League Cup on Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old Oxlade-Chamerlain, an understudy to Theo Walcott, unleashed a blistering right-foot shot from 30 yards to put the Gunners ahead in the 58th minute against the League Two side.

He was Arsenal’s stand-out player, making blazing runs down the right and landing dangerous crosses in the heart of Shrewsbury’s penalty area at Emirates Stadium.

I when to  the game Philly actually had more chances than Real.  Daniel played it simple. The heat had an effect on this you could the player jogging slow and playing it simple. Real score earl before I could sit down the team score ahh say to myself boi this is going to be a long night for the union. however they settle down and start to play, Daniel had  ahh nice ball on top of the box he fake cut in on he right the shoot was low and too soft to trouble the keeper. He also made a cheeky chip while standing to a team but he could not capitalize on it, also when tracking back I notice a man try to sex him he keep cool turn his body around a collect the ball. That’s about it for him he got subbed in the second half. The other guy I had an eye on was Williams he has the pase  to keep up with MLS players however he was lost  high up the  field on occasion he also had a good opportunity to score and  missed his chance. He is defiantly a player to watch. The keeper holder did not play didn’t even see him on the bench
