The Windies need to become the Spain of cricket.

By that I mean, as many Barca players as there are
on the Spanish team, the Windies need to be controlled
by Trini players, and they all need to start.

Simmo, Barath, boat Bravo's (not both), J Mohammed,
Ram an Ram, Pollard and Narine.

Throw in Samuels and Roach/Edwards, and we good.
Russell as 12th man.

He is being monitored.
When it comes to playing, he IS the hardest worker on the USF
team. If he isn't on the TT team in the US in March/April, it's
because he is injured, no other reason.

Could you share what that entails?

The monitoring?
The same way these guys get recruited, video.

What about Track & Field / Re: Comparing Kirani James to Usain Bolt
« on: September 09, 2011, 12:08:12 PM »
43.17! 43.17! 43.17!

James ran 44.36 in Zurich, 1.18 seconds away from
M Johnson's long standing record. His second D-League
event, ever.

He is based in 'Tide' land, really wish he was based
in Baton Rouge, but, he will get the same rigorous
training whether in 'Bama or Loozeeana.

With weight training, strengthening his upper body,
and with track training, improving on his 'gangly'
style of running, early in the 2012 track season,
James will run a sub 44, and by the time
London rolls around, he should be at 43.60, or
better.

37
WOW!

Blake caught Pow, and pass him like he was standing still.

Powerful!

38
Lashawn Merrit looking confused. I sure he thinking "Where this Kirani James fella come from?. This was supposed to be my year!"

Merritt was gone for 2 years (?), just got back, a few
meets back.
He will be fit for London, but will have to settle for silver or
bronze.
K James will be 10 months stronger, with more 'Tide' coaching
under his belt, and Johnson's record will be coming into view.

39
Kirani James is an 18 year-old gangly freak, who, with some
good 'Tide' coaching, will break Johnson's record.

I don't care how much training and prep Merritt has
under his belt, he won't beat K James.

NO matter where you are in the world you can submit questions and/or join us online post Zurich Diamond League for the COOL DOWN show.

http://www.universalsports.com/news-blogs/article/newsid=536254.html#cool+down+back+thursday

Today, Universal Sports will show the Zurich meet at 10P in the evening.
Why is that?
Lack of sponsorship for live showing?
It isn't even being offered at U.com as pay per view.

None of the NBC sports networks make sense, Universal
nor Versus.

I will give Versus a little credit.
Thankfully they have been showing horse racing
on a weekly basis from around the country.
It might be on Saturday only, but it is 'live'.

I think Anton is the most 'qualified' coach to fit several key coaching positions in Trinidad and Tobago.

If I am not mistaken, he holds a USSF "A" License, National "Y" License, NSCAA Advance or Premier Diploma and had several decent coaching experiences (community college coach etc) in the United States before returning home. So as far as licenses is concerned, he is the most qualified local product we have (I think). Hence, I understand the reasoning behind his selection.

Digressing a bit, we have coaches in the professional league that coach top teams but don't even have their 'C' license or just acquired it. Of course Anton will get the notch over them when it comes to selection (not to mention, he is the only coach that is given all the coaching opportunities so his resume continues to become "decorated").

However, Anton has failed many times when it comes to coaching for Trinidad. As you mentioned in the article, the U-17 qualified for the WC kind courtesy the help of Leo. This is no secret.

Also, there is going to be blatant shifts in the selection process now.  Obviously the head coach depends on the local staff to help in the selection process of players. We will now see players that have been ignored under other coaches, now back in the mix. Is this a good thing? Maybe....maybe not?

Let's see what's the outcome of this.

Kingman

Wanted to add, he holds a FIFA 'A' badge, and if I am not mistaken, there are less than
a dozen coaches who have any kind of FIFA badges in TT.
When Anton was at Piedmont, in NC, he was the director of coaching, at the time,
they had about 3K kids playing competitive and rec ball..
TT was after him to come back home to be a part of the youth structure, he
agreed.
At about the same time, the Adidas academy was starting in Sarasota, and he
was also in the running there for a coaching position.

Anton is a Trini to d bone.
He can go anywhere in the US and coach, and the US is in dire need
of coaches with Anton's resume.
But, he continues to ply his trade, as best as he can, and work with
who he has to work with in TT.

Well yes Japan playing some ball. Imagine Japan looking more technical than Argentina. Score line Japan 3 Argentina 1. Japan wins the group
jamaica ties France 1-1. Well done JA good result
Who would have thought that the Netherlands would not have won a single game. Who would have guessed that a Dutch youth team would only have two Ajax players.

The Argentines were against it before they even got to
Mexico.
Argentina got to Mexico the morning of the France game.
The kids had to be bused to Peru, as the ash from the Chile
volcano didn't allow them to leave from BA.
They were sluggish in their first game, and never recovered.
It's a shame, as they were one of the favorites.

G Craig played club ball in TT.

He never played club ball in the US.
Once he graduated college, he moved back to
TT and played for a couple years, then he moved
back to the US.

He currently lives in Florida, has two bad knees,
and won't even come out an play small goal 'wit
d boys'.

I will point him to this post.

As Ron Paul told Fox News today:

“In a free society we're supposed to know the truth,” Paul said. “In a society where truth becomes treason, then we're in big trouble. And now, people who are revealing the truth are getting into trouble for it.”

Why crucify Assange? Because he is broadcasting
the truth?

What if he were to get his hands on the communiques
to and from FIFA? Would it be bad if he put it out there
for everyone to see? I certainly would like to know what
went down yesterday.

Oh, and what happens when he throws out the e-mails
from the 'big US bank'?
Is it going to be bad when we all find out how the big
banks in the US have brought the world's economies
to their knees?

Russia has the resources to stage 2018.
Kudos to them.

So does Qatar.
But really, Qatar?
1.3mm population.
Average temps in June/July/Aug is
97/104/99 degrees?

Does that mean every stadia is going
to have a retractable roof?

Remember the Brasil x Arg game that was
recently played there? And what pace the
game was played at?

I am sure the Euro's are real happy they
have to go play in the desert in June/July.

war

Clean it up?
The people in power 6/7 months, at least give them a year or two to try and
clean up what has been 8 plus years in the making.
As for a coup, what was allowed to happen the last time, won't happen this
time.
And as far as Fadda goes, I hope he keeps running his mouth.
The case against him with the church, Udecott, etc. etc. is slowly and methodically being built.
It's kind of like what you are about to see on Wall Street and insider trading, 3 years in the making, but soon coming to a boil.

He scores a goal, he gets paid.
He doesn't score, he doesn't get paid.

Give him a target number of goals for the
season, 12, 15, 20 , or........... He gets to
those, for every goal he exceeds, he gets
a nice bonus.

When it affects a mans pocket, there is
motivation to succeed, regardless of
occupation.

This is no different.

Cricket Anyone / Re: Pollard in T&T Squad for Caribbean T20
« on: July 11, 2010, 11:27:06 AM »
Pollard continues to amaze.

It all started with Trinidad in the C-League.
He left there, and went to play in Australia, and
helped his team qualify for the C-League.
Then he was on the Mumbai team that lost in
the final, but qualified for the C-League.
Finished there, came home, and did what he
could for the underachievers, the West Indies.
Left there, and is now sitting atop the South
Division in the Providents T20 with Somerset.
I believe 2 teams qualify from England.

To sum it up, Pollard will play for Trinidad in
the C-league, but his Aussie team, Indian
team, and possibly English team will also be
there.

WoW!

« on: June 08, 2010, 02:05:58 PM »
I don't know much about phone techonology.

However, I'll be in Toronto in July and I plan on buying a new phone.

So if I read correctly this new Iphone 4 is unlocked.

Can I buy it then and use it in another country with a sim card?

VB

iOS4 right now can be jail broken, but not
unlocked.
Keep your fingers crossed for an unlock
process to come along.

BTW, the iPhone 4 has nothing to do with
4G. ATT and their sorry backbone can barely
keep 3G stable, forget talking about 4G.

The only networkS which will run 4G in the
US is going to be Sprint and T-Mo (with
HSPA).
Forget about ATT and Vzn and 4G.
