It may be a ploy or it may not be but it appears by easing the tension and having individual's worry as to whether or not they would be named to the World Cup squad, has eased and enabled the skilled players to perform at a higher level.
Witness the increase goal production of Stern John; the performance by Cornell Glen, the goal by Rougier; the performances by Scotland and Jones.
Do you think that this is a serendipitious out come or a deliberate move by Beenie to reward loyality by the players and thus motivate them in these coming months to perform? or is it a case that for an individual who was not named to make this team, they have to show real good?
Stern John and Jason Scotland had already been scoring regular before Bennie named his team......
Rougier has made a big difference to the team since he joined at the end of the last season (remember they won the big 6) and it is only the 2nd game of the seacon so is not like he was playing bad before....wasn't playing atall.....
Cornell Glen scored the hard goals and missed the easy ones(from what I read on here)
Kenwyn's playing time has been limited but he has been scoring ...when he get playing time
Bennie's ploy was spot on for many reasons but I think that your examples were not good ones.
