Lauryn Wiliams b4 heats began....

"I'm looking forward to probably a 1-2-3 US finish," Lauryn said. "I don't think the final is going to be as intense as what we experienced."

Now the Gladiator saying (from credible sources) that five PNM reps goan cross the floor forcing a General Election, all Ministers phones tapped and there's an elected rep who deposited 100 million in an off-shore account.

There is also speculation that Imbert and Valley are the next on the list to go (fired).

Papa yo.

Toppa, Valley gone since last election

Football / Miss T&T friendly then no W/Cup for England stars
« on: April 16, 2008, 07:24:47 AM »
Daily Star

England's superstars face the World Cup axe if they try to duck out of two summer friendlies against the USA and Trinidad.

Coach Fabio Capello has made it clear he won’t be accepting any lame excuses for no-shows for the USA friendly at Wembley on May 28 and the game in the West Indies four days later.

“If a player doesn’t love to play for England then perhaps he should stay at home,” he stated. Capello said he wanted players to come even if they had gone on holiday – as he plans towards the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign which begins on September 6 with a trip to Andorra.

Now some of England’s top names – who might have thought they were in for a nice, long rest following their part in the shocking failure to qualify for the Euroepean Championships - might be rethinking their summer plans.

Italian Capello has already shown he is a hard task-master with a tough new regime which has included a ban on WAGs, mobiles phones, computer games and an order for the players to wear suits and eat together.

Turning to who he expected to be available for the friendlies, Capello said: "Some of them would have been on holiday for a week.

"But these are all things to overcome because we need to do our tests and try things.

"These games are very important, first of all because we will have a full week where we can have many training sessions and try many different things.

"Clearly the league will be over by then and I'll have a good group of players at my disposal to work with.

"Like Fabio they must love the England shirt and that is all there is to it.

"If someone doesn't want to come and play for England it means they obviously don't love the England shirt enough. Obviously they must prefer to go on holiday."

Capello's crackdown will be complicated by at least one, and possibly two, English teams appearing in the Champions League Final on May 21.

Liverpool or Chelsea could face Manchester United in Moscow, but despite that, it seems certain Capello - who has only had two matches in charge - will not be picking a shadow squad like Sven Goran-Eriksson did for the trip to the States in 2005.

Meanwhile, the England boss also came up with a bizarre excuse yesterday as to why some young players in Lesotho were better technically than their English counterparts.

He said: "The good weather here allows players to work on their technique a lot more of the time, whereas in England, because of the conditions, you can't just work on skills, you have to run much more and work on physical strength."

Football / Barcelona open to offers for Henry
« on: April 08, 2008, 07:01:35 AM »
'Barca open to offers'

Barcelona are open to offers of around £16million for striker Thierry Henry, according to reports in the English press.

Henry, who left Arsenal to join the Spanish champions in the summer, has struggled to settle at the Nou Camp due to personal problems and a number of clubs are lined up to bring him back to the Premier League.

The 30-year-old striker has publicly stated that he misses his daughter, Téa, who still lives in London with her mother Claire Merry and this has lead to a number of tentative enquiries for the former Gunner.

Chelsea head the queue for the France international but Manchester City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are also interested.

'If we receive a proposition then we will speak to the player,' a Barcelona source told the Daily Star. 'We have not opened the door for Henry and we have not closed it.'

Henry's contract with Barcelona runs until 2011.

I feel Keane will "suggest" to Edwards that he not come back for this one so soon after injury.  Then it will be up to Jack and the TTFF to decide if they want to force the issue.

Is the 6th an official FIFA match day or not? I notice Sunderland away to Liverpool on the 2nd and then they host Wigan on the 9th. However, the next EPL game after that is on the 23rd, which would suggest that the international matchweek is from the 13th to the 20th

Why are we playing a match with a NON fifa team on a NON fifa matchday? If all you feel keane letting go Jones and Edwards, his two most important players three days before one of the make or break games of the season without a fight crapaud smoke alyuh pipe.

According to the fifa international match calendar, the 6th is as an official fifa match day

I am not worried about the groupings coz I know already the six teams that coming through, they are:
1.Trinidad
2.Jamaica
3.Cuba
4.Pan
5.Haiti
6.Canada.
Take this as Gospel, when I get this feeling I am never wrong.Allyuh remember this post.

from the time u make the statement below i doh take anything u say serious

If he wins the elections and becomes PM,i HOPE HE SPEND PLENTY MONEY ON OUR FOOTBALLERS.That is not too much to ask, seeing that we have so much oil money. When oil finish we can then give our footballers to the rest of the world. That would replace oil as our most expensive export.

JDB, the better team on the day win... after the first leg...i thought i had a chance of an upset...but today i was defeated and totally outplayed by the better team and the better manager on the day ;D

..the management and staff at Tobago United would now throw our support behind u in your quest for the league and cup double....I'll take this time to focus my efforts on avoiding relegation

I think i shoulda have a different name for the team...mighta help team morale  ;D

54
Dear Mr feliz,

u have 2 step in here, blackburn and astonvilla are playing 2 times in round 14.

now in the overall scheme of things ( meaning the fantasy league this will pan out to ah certain extent, slighht flaw in the game)as all teams have to play 38 games. but wrt the knock out competiton we have,  it makes the playing field very uneven . how will this be addressed?

 yours respectfully,

Manager of Freakazoid xpress

I concur
A team shouldn't be playing twice in the same round when it comes to the Cup.....

Confession of another football manager/championship manager addict

I see this topic gone from fifa08 to winning eleven to football manager and i wholeheartedly endorse everything Jahyouth and FF say.... stay away from this game.... i playing this since it was called cm97/98 when eidos and si were still one.... i was in 4th form back then..... mi parents used to think i was up studying when is game i killing
I used to take off the light in mi room so ppl would think i sleeping when is game i playin....only problem there was when a goal score it used to flash on the screen and hurt mi eyes but it was worth it

Right thru cxc and A levels i playing hence the poor grades

Funny thing is at the loading screen for the game it has an addiction level....it would tell u how many hours in total u played and always has a comment like don't forget to bathe or to carry out the garbage or feed the cat

Haven't played this since about 2005 though but reading the discussions here i tempted again

Just one more signing b4 i sleep :rotfl:
This is mi last contract offer b4 i go to sleep :rotfl:
Just one more match then your realise is european competition or is man u or chelsea or barca u playing next  so u hv to play that match b4 u go
