Tobago, the top 3 teams of the last CFU Haiti, Jamaica, and Cuba are again the same top 3 teams this year. The players of all three teams are different and in the case of Haiti even the coach is different. So, what do you think the determinant factors are? Your pick!
Do you see why your argument that reigning champion status is meaningless because players are different does not make sense?
In youth football, it is a mistake to assume all teams are equal because the players of the last tournament were replaced by new ones.
Usually, the host has a say in the grouping of the team. It was weird to see the host in the same group with the winner and runner up of the last competition especially knowing that the top 2 of each group would qualify.
