I have radio links in Haitian Creole but that won't help you much. However, if no1 provides a live feed, your best bet is these live score boards: http://www.sportepoch.com/match/live and http://www.sportepoch.com/match/live

Haiti is leading Guyana 1 - 0. Congrats to Cuba. Hopefully, this time Cuba doesn't go to the Gold Cup to embarrass the Caribbean again.

Venezuela and Colombia are more Caribbean than Guyana is South American. However, it's an interesting discussion. You do not have to share the same cultural backgrounds with the other teams of a confederation to join that confederation. For example, China, Palestine, Australia are all members of the same confederation!

However, I really do not understand why it would be a better deal for Guyana to leave CONCACAF.

Football / Haiti v. Trinidad - A warm welcome to the warriors.
« on: July 15, 2011, 07:02:36 AM »
ANNOUNCEMENT:

The FHF invites the Haitian public to offer a warm welcome to the "Soca Warriors" who show us their friendship by accepting this invitation for the first international match to play in Haiti for many years.

For this occasion, the two federations of FHF and the TTFF have decided to show up with their best available players.

Full Note in French:

Note De FHF

It's possible, though. Yes, 3-1 is wishful thinking. However, Jamaica seems to have what it takes to pull it up.

3-1 Jamaica.

Since Altidore is Haitian, I hope he scores the lone U.S. goal, though.  :)

Canada playing this game with no sense of urgency. They need the points.

As I type that, they get a penalty and score.

This time, the Canucks only have themselves to blame.

Dempsey!  :rotfl: :rotfl:

That Dempsey dude, wow! If I haven't seen him playing before, I would have concluded that he is a total waste, possibly the worst player of the U.S. team. I do not know how he did it, but the guy managed to kill almost all US attacks. He was Guadeloupe's best defender. No wonder the only goal of the game came from a long range shot. Dempsey had no chance to mess that one too.

Thanks. So, TT$12000 would be at least a mid-range salary. That's not bad at all for the locals and nationals of some poor countries, then. However, a cap so low may hurt clubs that can afford better and more expensive players.

Is TT $12000 /Month good enough money to allow a player with a family of 4 to live decently in Trinidad? Would that player need additional income?

The Trinidad I visited two years ago seemed quite expensive.

I still cannot believe that Cuba and Grenada amassed more than 30 goals games in just 6 games. That's quite a feat! At this rate, I am sure they would have eventually set a record that would be hard to beat.

Actually, it was far less painful watching Grenada than Cuba. The Grenadians did try and I like their attitude. They were just out of their league. But, Cuba was a disappointment.

Congrats, Jamaica.

I like the way Jamaica is playing so far. But truth be told, Jamaica has yet to be tested. Jamaica has only played two of the three weakest teams of the tournament. Let's see how it goes tonight.

However, is Jamaica the strongest CFU team and one of the best in CONCACAF? No doubt!

The US team ain't strong talk, cyah hold water.  Nonetheless, I watched the replays and it seemed like the USA missed many many opportunities.  So the victory maybe a bit out of perspective.  Granted I did not see the game.  all the best to Panama though any win against the favorites is good.  Plus, Jamrock ain't fraid no US.

Panama also missed 'many many opportunities' to score more goals. I think the Panamanians were the better team and they won. Most of the U.S. offenses occurred after Panama was already 2-0 and was trying to kill the game.

Lol... I guess we have no choice but to support Jamaica. They are playing ok, so far. Richards, Shelton,  Demar are leading the entertainment crew.

Too bad Gwada's team is getting old. I guess we are going to lose them just like the great Martinique team of the early 2000 just vanished!

No need to register.

Canada is dominating Gwada. But, game is still 0-0, just past 30 minutes.

That was embarrassing. Without Warner, I can see Central America stealing one more spot from CFU. Cuba is a huge disappointment. Grenada is even worse.

As I said before, the Haitian team in T&T is our U-23 with just a couple older guys. Most of them have never been capped before.

To make it worse, the coach has sent home two key players Eliphene Cadet (he refused to train for the SVG game) and Versailles (indiscipline). Haiti's key defender Parnel Guerrier has accumulated two yellow cards and won't be in tonight. The trouble there is that Versailles is the only guy who could really replaced Parnel. Also, remember Eliphene Cadet is the big tall forward who would be putting pressure on T&T's defense.

Haiti will be lucky to escape with a draw.

Of course, Haiti will still have Sony Norde to force fouls and St-Preux to score on free kicks! They both have excellent individual skills that can cause trouble.

RF : "Actually, Jamaicans will feel the same way too, and would wantto avoid both T&T and Haiti"

Same here. We do not like playing Jamaica and Trinidad. However, we feel ashamed loosing to any other Caribbean country and that includes Cuba. Haitians overseas have learnt to respect Guadeloupe, but not those in Haiti. They would not stand losing to Gwada.

Tuissant, who u think will play Haiti in the final this year? I remember Haiti giving Jamaica hell in Miami some years ago in a world cup qualifier, I think the game ended 1-1 Peguero tormented the Jamaica defence all night (what happened to him). Needles to say, Jamaica blanked you guys three nil in Kingston a week later to take the tie 4-1.  ;)

Peguero is injured.

The Haitian team in T&T is our U-23 team with just a couple older guys. We are really preparing for the Olympics. The A-team will play the rest of the tournament if we qualify tomorrow. On the paper, the A-team should be able to win the tournament with players like Jean Eudes Maurice, Johnny Placide, Jean Sony Alcenat etc.

If we reach the finals we anticipate that our opponents will be either Jamaica or Trinidad. We know we will beat Guadeloupe and/or Martinique.

Haiti had a draw with Jamaica not too long ago, I believe. (1/1 miami)
