Look thank you JW, like Coop's is Shabazz speech writer.  ;D

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=256596281169502
Some people hate to hear the truth,is not a matter of i'm Shabbazz speech writer it's just that i usually see eye to eye with the guy on his policys concerning Football, you all does look for anything to bring him down he has done so much for Football in this country both Men/Women,he has taken assignments and worked with teams that other Coaches run from and had success with them,he has helped so many players reach their potential, Contracts etc i totally agree with what he is saying about Women Football and players in T&T.

33
Guichita, nuff respect to u on this topic,u have me in school, now the little i know of Argentina is through Football, one think that always came to the forefront was that same misunderstanding of the race issues,i've been following your posts and it's quite interesting how u are explaining this thing,i doubt it could be said better.

When i was resident in the US i had the opportunity the opportunity to work with an Argentinian Coach at a club call Richmond Strikers, his name was Carlos Martinoli,i learned so much from this guy we became best friends because he had all the liscenses etc etc from Argentina,i used to be amazed of his techniques when demonstrating he made everything look so easy,Carlos is still my friend although i'm back home.

34
Hi guys sorry but i had to bring this topic to the forfront because i think we have droped the ball on Akeem, may be everything is alright now but i was not updated on what went on with his burial,if the body was flown to T&T,where the burial took place etc etc

Flex i can't and was not looking to be an administrator, number one because of my illness and two i don't think i have the experience to be one.I just wanted to know what is required or the responsibilities of an administrator,i think it's good to know because i ran and organized clubs at home and in the US and wanted to know the difference between the administration of a club and the administration of an organisation like this. Thanks for your thoughts any how.

Quote from Elan

In 30 or so year of f@#KIng JW nothing, absolutely nothing, zilch, zero, nada. As a matter of fact in 100 years no plan, no brand. Spin how much you want the federation never led the way and it is with them the responsibility is entrusted to put in place a course of actions to enable development of the game that everyone can be PROUD of.

Enlighten (if at all possible) Coop's fuh me please ... Lord Faddah!!
Nevah see a person so loyal to such pure vermin. Cyah believe that 2 gin and tonic wit' de boys is responsible for such blind discipleship.
Dreamer u see what's the topic, why do u look for any opportunity to attack me on JW,i have been posting here for sometime check every single post that i have posted and see if i ever attacked u,my i deas and views about JW is mine why keep bringing it up all the time,ah mean look at the topic and here u go again.Have u ever done anything worthwhile for T&T Football besides old talk? JW gone breds JW is history we moving on is Tim Kee time,u know how many TTFA meetings i have been too already?what loyal to such pure vermin u talking about.

Well done girls,i'm impressed with these highlights,it's a vast improvement from previous teams i saw play especially in the area of cross balls and heading.

38
I won't be able to consistently nail the teams. Some teams like Central defend and attack with different formations and some like Connection don't have a rigid system. So I just use it as a guide otherwise it might get overly complicated.
One can say that Connection plays a variant between a 4-1-1-1-3 and a 2-1-2-1-1-3 system. Its three midfielders are Gerard Williams, Silvio Spann and Jones and they line up vertically rather than horizontally. Their full backs are just nominal defenders. At times, Gerard Williams is right between the other two central defenders.
I know some people want the full breakdown but I feel it would confuse the layman and create unnecessary debate too. So I really do offer more of a guide.
Does it really matter what system these guys play?the bran of Football is still the same,i agree with SWF don't hot up yu head trying to explain that,it's like taking Football to the classroom.

Btw not feeling the "soca princess" name thing. Too novelty like.

Dat name being used long time now.

I know. But is time to get rid a that name. Soca warrior.. Yes I could take that.. But wtf is a soca princess? When I hear soca princess I think of a gyal that luv she fete..

It could have been jagabat, wahbeen, cascabelles, etc, etc. There are no shortages of name to put down Trini women. Princess is just fine with me, at least.
I think the name is quite appropriate for our women, they must be seen as having an identity of their own,why develop the warrior lable and their treatment is different from the men.

40
But hey back then there was no marketing and fans came out

Totally correct about this. I remember going to the Oval on a mid week to see TT play B'dos in an Olimpic qualifying game. Oval had about  18000 people. Mid week, star. Mid week.
The difference with me is that i was around in those times, that was my time why it's so hard for me to come to terms with what's going on today,my thoughts are when u go to Football is either u going there to enjoy a side show or u going there to enjoy a game of Football, all these pum pum girls etc etc is a huge distraction for me at games(now that's just me),when i go to a game i'm not just a spectator,i look at the game as a player,Coach, scout etc etc

41
I am of the opinion that DF and Police should not play in the Pro-league. They should go back to TTFF football. They are gov't employees and their primary goal is to protect the citizens. Football is secondary. The pro-league cannot run in this manner. This is the second time this is happenning. I think they should be playing football. It is not like they goofing off. Now how allyuh expect fans to support this. The season will never end. Sorry , Coops. Something different has to be done.
I totally agree with u.How ever my understanding of DF playing Football is more of a public relations/image involvment in society,it has brought the public closer to the military that's besides the parades and different exercises that they put on for the public.

When u look at it realisticaly, the amount of leagues DF play in,yes trophys to show what they played for, what they really do with prize money?do they need it?yes they have produced some of the best players/teams in the country, will it be a big loss if they are not playing top level Football?

The thing is they have done/given so much to T&T Football i would just like to think what Football in the country would be without them. When u look at the situation it's very hard for me to say it's the end of the road for DF Football because it was my career and history.Yes something has to be done but what i can't say.

42
Elan, like sometimes u does go off,i don't know how what u talking to me about come up,i never said we are doing the right things or Football has anything in place for our development, read what i said again,is 22 yrs i've spent in US Soccer and before that i was involved in T&T Football in various capacities, there is not very much anyone can tell me about both,u don't have to preach anything to me,i spoke about the crowds it used to have in T&T Football and it never had no marketing etc etc

Being the site administrator or being a moderator is a demanding job. No matter what you do, somebody go take issue.

So hats off to everyone (past, present and future) involved in managing this site  - on-line and off-line.  :beermug:

PS: I nominate Dutty for Moderator
It don't have to be all that demanding if the folks on here could be reasonable and get along,i have seen good posters who don't post any more,it used to have guys from other countries who used to post we run them, don't talk about our female posters we put them down like they don't know Football,at one time i was scared to post because of the threats, abuse etc thanks to guys like Flex,Palos,Deeks,Bakes i'm still here.

I'm not saying u have to agree with what posters saying but lets try and respect people for the contributions they are making, this is what makes the Forum what it is.Bye the way what is the job description of a moderator, what is required of that person?

44
But there is demand - how else would minor leagues keep messing with professional footballers and the Eddie Hart league and community teams (Guaya, Sando) get such high attendance? The Jack Warner years definitely had a massive detrimental effect on Trini football and undermined the fan base
I will not agree with u there at all, during the JW years and prior Football always had tremendous crowds,Minor league, club,College, and international, any where in T&T Football was played had crowds, what happen u feel is since 06 JW running Football.

What Contro is saying makes sense to me,from my experiences in T&T Football football killed itself because there is no improvement, players are not as committed as they used too,the serious have to leave home else they too will get dormant, the young stars we have at home will get bored just now, same Trophies they playing for, same players they playing against, same grounds they playing on year in year out.

We does talk about the times but we are still stuck in the past,we still blaming the TTFA and the past Admin,Tim Kee and them trying to make a difference and people pressureing them, the hole we have dug ourselves in is difficult to come out off.The only thing that will help our Football today is if we can find a way to keep our best players at home else there is nothing to market.

Is it insecurity and inferiority or just indifference?

Indifference means lack of interest, disinterest, that is indeed present when it comes to supporting the ttfa because of their negligence over the years. However, our fans, populous are insecure and the inferiority complex stems from their lack of belief in themselves, their country and their people. The TTFA cannot be blamed for this mentality and it's exemplified with comments like "more Messi jerseys will be in the stadium than our national kit". That is not indifference... Indifference is not the root of the problem.
And it is certainly not at the heart of those comments about the jerseys and the team.

Also there isn't a lack of interest in watching world football, la liga, premiership, the interest is there. They will run out and buy the jersey or run out and buy a marley jersey, ask them if they are buying a national jersey? That is not indifference, TT is now a place where the kids are pseudo this and pseudo that because they are insecure.
      :applause: :applause: :applause:

46
I does get enough licks on this forum for local Football so i have nothing to say but i just want to mention something on the Jerseys.

I have seen the new Jerseys at one or two shops in POS,Kennys/Sports and Games,i also saw them outside the stadium at those international games that i attended.

My senses tells me like they trying to sell out the old ones, may be they had a lot of stock because every sports store have a lot of old Jerseys any size or colour u want.

Yes Mexico beat us 6-0 at those games,Hugo Sanchez was 19 and in his prime already.

Akeem Adams i must say with your death you have awakened a sleeping giant, the little i know about fitness it's not something you take for granted, yes players are fit but is how fit,you could be fit for one game and unfit for the next, you could be fit this week and unfit next week,it all depends on many things, lifestyle is one,sleep/rest,the foods u eat/drink,the type of training u do etc etc the same way u can go to the Doctor this week and he pass u well and next week u take in sick.

I'm not sure if it's a myth but i know of people when they had to go for medical to enter the Police Force/Army (services)used to drink Coconut water etc etc to clear their system.I know of guys using different things to help them with their game,at one time Glucose sugar was used they say that gives u energy,i know of guys taking a drink, some taking a smoke etc etc and mind u they used to play real good Football,to us they were fit.

I have not been around our club teams to know what type of training they do but i'm almost sure none don't have a Gym where weight and other cardiovascular training can be done, players don't spend any time doing personal training,Coaches can only do so much they depend on players to be ready,as Sam said we expect Coaches to do everything.

Brownsugar thanks for shareing that post with us,it just shows the kind of expertize we have in our midts and take them for granted.FS i know u may feel targeted but this situation has exposed a lot of things we never thought off,my hope is that we become better because of it.

Stephen Hart is a f00king BOSS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Blaze them Hartie...

We have 1.5 million people in T&T and 2 million coaches, so it eh go be easy and them Trinis don't support and wouldn't spend 5 cents to see anything but quick to condemn.

In T&T they need a coach and they expect d coach to do everything, like he is de savor for T&T football, de federation, de pro league and de super league.

Man like coops eh spending 5 cents to see two crapo fight but he quick to highlight de flaw.

 :rotfl: :rotfl:

You will not spend a cent to come home much less go and see two Crapo fight, why should i pay to see two Crapo fight,i've paid my dues already what have u done.

Coops I dealing with T&T. Progressing the TTFF/TTFA.

How did the Administrative side of the game improve?
Where's the coaching structure?
Where's the Identification and Selection procedure?
Where's the grassroots initiatives?
Where's the 2018/2022 WC developmental plan?

Coops its easy to say we struggled to go to Europe and play to US and play. That's all well and good, but what's all that for if the game at home is still at ground zero.

See we fall over we self to pat Hart on the back for chastising those who criticize, but in the same swype of the keyboard hitting Kelvin Jack for six. How does that work.  ???
Elan come on don't try to change your conversation, you talk of the veterans as though our contributions to T&T Football means nothing, may be u don't know but we had our fights and struggles with the TTFA,u will not know how many teams/players were swiped out of our Football for standing up to Eric James/Jack Warner,i and all was blacklisted at one time i don't know if that still stands today because they are all my friends, times have really changed.Don't be against me for laughing because i was there at one time,it's time to let go.
