Weary i'm not vex with u or anything of the sort for your thoughts/views but i'll share this with u,on this forum u have to be able to try and sypher out what's jokes, old talk, people looking for bacchanal, the haters, those that just like to set records straight (facts) etc etc don't take everything people say and hurt your head with it sometimes we just have to let it go.

I'm glad i'm home because a lot of what i read/hear i can personally make a call, check out the source, meet the individuals most who know me or i make myself known to them.Ive been to the TTFA office on a couple occasions and is all because i want to hear it from the horses mouth (no hear say),i've been to a meeting up to today all the stake holders were there even Tim Kee,i met all of them which was quite refreshing to me,i will not come here and discuss what was said to me or anything of the sort.

When people talking here i does only shake my head, you will always find i try to put in a good word for the TTFA past or present because i know what they go through on a daily basis,we must try sometimes to meet these people personally and tell them how u feel instead of always criticizing,i met my friend Sml Mag he was on the Computer checking the forum,we have guys in there who were once here and still follows the forum so they hear u.

I know u eh vex and I know d talking heads and who bump their gum because they have a keyboard. I glad SM working there now so some young blood. I know it eh easy but I wanted a clean house at the TTFA as far as I am concern there are 2 much relics from the past.

Elan u call us Veterans but i will more refer to us as the foundation because without us where Football would be,u will never know the fights and struggles we had to under go,if was not for us there would be no them,it have guys who left T&T on contracts etc etc long before Yorke and them ever did,if wasn't for that foundation we would have nothing to stand on today, every generation will always look better than the past because that's what we see presently,u know how long it took a black Englishman to play on a club team in England.

Elan do u know the present day players have to beg and dip there hands in their pocket to see T&T play also? so what has Sancho and them achieved?i must laugh because we only fooling ourselves.

This is a thread for him to discuss some of the achievements in the 8 months or whatever it is since he's been with the TTFA... why de ass are we talking about monies owed to the World Cup players???  Look...
We beat that topic for about six years, alyu went to court, alyu dance when they thought they had it,we eh hear nothing from any of the players on this issue or anything concerning T&T Football since, alyu this there talking about WC money as though it going in alyu pocket.

So because I eh gettin none of the players money I not suppose to comment about an injustice. So when the rule was past where you cannot respond to a thread in the manner you want?

Weary if u not hearing anything from Kelvin Jack everything alright, yes there was an injustice but we want to move forward, everybody happy how the present team doing but it have no money, which is priority the 06 Warriors or our present National teams.

Sometimes i feel we Trini's does forget or we just don't care, this is not the first time we end up with a situation like this, correct me if i'm wrong but i'm just trying to compare this with Marvin Lee,who took care of Marvin Lee,was the government involved, who were the Doctors, who took care of his treatment, where the money came from, who made contributions, where did he get damage, wasn't he an amdassador of T&T,was any cards sent to him etc etc etc

Well, from what I understand, the nation was told at the time that Jack warner covered all of the bills, so the nation would stand proud and think we were looking after our fallen warrior. Of course, it appears that everything was actually paid for by someone else. But, the point is, it APPEARED as if Marvin was taken care of and supported by T&T.

I think it is right that we question the silence from govt. After all, God forbid, many posters here live overseas. What happens if they fall ill or suffer a tragedy overseas and need a little support? Not financial, but the support of their country. Trinis have the right to expect a little more.
I didn't want to respond to this but i have to say something.FS where were you when this incident took place?how long u in T&T?how long u involved or following T&T Football?what u know of our history?my guess is what ever u know was told to u by someone, from the time u start stateing "from what i understand" "the nation was told at the time" "it appears" you not sure of what the person told you, when you all coming on here get your facts right. Is Football your full time job?what you used to do before u came to T&T?manage a club in England or something?or are u a lawyer?

To be honest, I think Akeems situation and Marvin Lee's are totally different and should not be compared.  Marvin got injured "in the line of duty"....he was actually representing the country at the time he got hurt.  Whereas Akeem was actually being paid by his employer.  His employer did the right thing by him and should be commended for that.  Because Marvin was injured playing for the national team the responsibility fell on the laps of the TTFA in my opinion.
I totally agree with you,i only brought that up just to show people how they took what JW/TT did for granted, the thing is it was all T&T it was never mentioned in a foreign newspaper or anything although the US was involved,we handled our stories and even named a stadium in remembrance of him.

D incident happened in TNT so who else was to handle the stories. 2001 v 2013. The world has changed so while in 2001 Jack word was gospel now it eh worth a pint of piss.
Well listen to Lasana and FS their word means something.

It just dawn on me we talking about community Pro-League teams and POS (Savannah)is not mentioned,it's a pity the home of T&T Football don't have Football any more,Youth,Senior,Club,League games,North/South,International games etc etc

I often pass by the Savannah and when i look across that green area and see Goalpost standing there nobody playing i can identify where all the clubs practiced,Malvern, Maple,Colts, Midvale,Casuals, Harvard Paragon,Providence,Luton Town etc the Minor Leagues played,Northern League etc when u look at the amount of Football that was played in that Savannah alone now that's no more one can see where our Football went.

Football / Re: Let's have community Pro-League teams

Defence Force is not a community team, people in Carenage don't support Defence Force why put them to play in Carenage Rec ground, who going in Haig Street to see DF play?that ground right on the edge of the road,it eh even have space for people to watch a game plus it have no facilities there, well don't talk about security and parking.

Now if Carenage is there home that's where they going to have to practice,i can't understand putting DF in Carenage when there are about four quality fields in Chaguaramas where they are based, one is situated right in Defence Force HQ compound opposite Chagville they are better than most fields in T&T,down there you might have parking problems but no problem with security.

I know in my time you could not put DF to play in Carenage because whether we played home or away it was always sell out crowd, times have changed.

He eh lie he have made a difference, the difference is we have more crime.Police can't stop crime, what suppose to stop crime are the laws this country have, the laws have are not being enforced and even if it's enforced people still do what ever they want,we don't have laws we just have some rules.

So who supposed to enforce the laws then Coop's?
Yes it's the Police but like their hands are tied, they have to be so careful holding anybody because when they hold those guys the Judges letting them go,they can't prove cases, the laws did not cater for what they hold them for or the wording of the law have faults, witnesses not showing up so they have to let them go,man commiting crime then playing mad etc etc like there is always some way to get around our laws,i'm just a layman i don't know.

My condolences to the family of Rawle Fletcher. Celebrate his passing because he is in a better place now where there is no more illness and death, where there is only happiness and life.

To the man acting as Commissioner of Police. You sir, talk out of time. You say you have made a difference since you have been in office? I beg to differ. The number of people dead at this time, sir, outscores the number of people dead at this same time last year. Had you truly made a difference, this brother and many others would still be alive today.

Any professional or professional institution afraid of professionalism is not awesome.

One.

Police have weapons to protect themselves not u or me,every time Police kill someone reports are always the person was pointing a weapon at them, every crime situation Police gets there after everything is done and criminal gone,i also think the laws restricts Police.

FPATT still exist?  It should be flourishing now.......no?
It ever had one? all that was required was for players to pay a small membership fee and that run everybody.
salt since 2008 it looks like http://socawarriors.net/archive/FPATT.htm

Maybe it needs to be relaunched with some different blood........all the back and forth between club and national team........players need to look out for players
The guys who i thought would have gotten that going was the 06 Warriors due to what they went through,Shaka spoke about it but nothing happened and i don't think it will happen since everything is settled and players are satisfied.

A lot of things going on with players could of been sorted out without all the problems they are having, contracts, transfers, trials, best options available, national team issues etc etc

None of the senior girls are on the U-20 team ,so they are not in camp . Mollon is not part of the team at present .There are one or two girls that are still out of the country .The girls just don't appear to be too motivated so they train when they feel to or are able to .The majority of them know that they will be on the team whether they train hard or not at all .

That's the :bs: and why women's soccer in T&T will continue to struggle. It shows on the field, women vs our girls.

Nah, don't dump it all on the girls now. The TTFF is so caught up what their restructureing getting some kind of order on the menside side. IT APPEARS that the women side of this equation is not getting full attention. Plain and simple.
Women Football in T&T don't get the attention it deserves and that's a fact,at times the admin is blamed,at times the Coaches/technical staff is blamed and at times the players are blamed, really and truely it's a combination of all.
Look at the kind of money spending on Football/Facilities etc u never hear of anything for Women, check the Seminars/Clinics going on by foreign Coaches/staff none is geared towards Women.

Guys i know we doing our best in trying to get updates, news and info for the supporters of the forum,i would like to suggest if we can may be wait a bit, check and make sure our info is correct before we post,in T&T especially we are the home of bad news and old talk,it will still happen but lets be cautious because people are getting blamed unescesarily and they will eventually loose faith in us remember our reputation at stake also.

De TTFA really disappointing boy even under new management they still unorganized. Tim Kee look like he cant do all de jobs he have Mayor, TTFA president and a insurance CEO.

And Sheldon starting to sound like a broken record, sorry and this and that will not cut it for long. But ah know he is ah good fella, so things will get better organised once he step it up a bit.

By de way, that list of players Lasana have there is real class.

I have received confirmation by email that TTFA sent an email to Dexter Skeene on 15th November (the same day as they received the notice) informing him of the combine. Obviously, I cannot confirm if Mr Skeene saw the email. Apparently, TTFA sent a similar email to Tony Harford.
It would appear that TTFA and Sheldon Phillips executed their responsibilities professionally in this matter.

Thank u for clearing that up. :beermug:

I like what this post has turned into,Elan a lot of us have personal stories like what you have given us here,it's life lessons we experienced that have us the way we are today.

I will only give a snipit of what i went through,in my early days it had the Train,i used to hop the Train in San Juan drop off in POS and walk to the Savannah to practice, play games or sometimes watch a game in front the Grand Stand. It even had one occasion when i road my bike from San Juan to Cocorite to a practice session with Paragon,my parents never knew of that one.

Elan, you kidding me right? i don't know what part of the US you talking about but again my experiences are different.

I will take u to any HS,Elementary School,ODP,State Cup,Tournament etc etc in Va,Maryland and Washington DC you get good turnouts, check UVa is sell out every game.

I know u are saying parents are involved because of the opportunities for scholarships for their kids but in T&T our kids have the same opportunities but where are the parents?
