Went to see the game, the boys had a much better 2nd half....the strung together some nice passes at different intervals... They had quite a bit of cross balls into the area that they didnt capitalise on... They definitely have to improve on scoring and attacking those cross balls.... .. The defense was also ca tanding square too many times and could have easily went down except from some sloppy finishing by Barbados...All in all a good game..

Football / Chelsea's Grant says title should be decided in playoff
« on: May 09, 2008, 11:12:15 PM »
By Chris Hatherall, LONDON (Reuters)

The Premier League should be decided in a playoff in future if teams finish level on points at the top, Chelsea manager Avram Grant said on Friday.

Chelsea go into the final weekend of the season level on 84 points with leaders Manchester United but they will lose the title race on goal difference if both clubs record a similar result on Sunday. United's tally is 17 goals better.

Grant, whose team face Bolton Wanderers while United visit Wigan Athletic, said: "I prefer the system in Italy. If you have the same points you play a playoff and it is decided on that.

"Of course, I have interest now to say that, but I like it anyway. Sometimes, you score more goals against the weakest teams. If you have the same points, you are at the same level so you need to play to see who is the better," he told reporters.

However, Grant, who has promised to share a bottle of Israeli wine with United manager Alex Ferguson before the two title contenders meet in the Champions League final in Moscow on May 21, is refusing to look back on missed opportunities.

"Of course, after any game you look back and say 'I could have done this better'. But I think in the season not everything can be perfect, not for us and not for United. We came to the same points and now we wait for Sunday."

This place is the best oui....someone got 3 (last 3?) from calling just now.

I wonder if is because some people who use CC option change their mind and the tickets become available...or worse yet if they doh answer the phone.

When I spoke to the girl today, she told me that people who originally requested a particular amount on monday, took less when they called to confirm the cc pymt (man prob jus play greedy nah)...  so they may even have more as they continue to call people tommorow.... So ah wud suggest that men inside here who eh get call fuss ting in d morning...

Wen she tell me dat, ah say lemme post one time to give alyuh the heads up fuss...

« on: May 08, 2008, 10:10:26 PM »
Like the response he gave....

I would still prefer he stay and start next season at Sunderland, keep on scoring more goals, show the other clubs his consistency, and solidify himself as a threat in the p/ship..... Then if the offer is right, make a move to Chelsea or Man U or another bigger club by January..

Doh make sense movin now from a club where he's more or less guaranteed some playing time, to go to a bigger club where he mite be scrubbin bench...

Anyone who paying via Credit Card get a call yet?

I got a call back yesterday afternoon from the TTFF Accounts Department about 3:30 pm. They asked me to verify the code given to me when I ordered the ticket. Once verified, I gave them my CC details and the person informed me that I can collect my tickets on the 18th May where I would have to give them the code again in order to get the tickets.
I checked my credit card account a couple hours afterwards and it was charged for the amount of ticket I ordered.
So everything seems set. Lets hope all goes smoothly on collection day.

It doesn't matter what de topic may be, but all yuh know Supa does show up people and call dem out, when ever ah feel like it, cuz ah doh cater. Check dis out,way back, may be a year or so, it had a gay topic on here, about some gay scene, certain members for some reason, dey never enter these type of threads. Dey does  be all over de other threads and dem, all day, all night, but dis type ah thread dey does run and hide. All yuh know all yuh self, Supa on de case again. Well wid due respect to the people dat fall under reason number one.

Cuz in my opinion, there are 2 reasons dey will not come on dis thread (1) some people doh like to offend another human being by coming out in de open and giving their opinion on topics related to religion, gay people etc. If you are dat type of individual, nuff respect to you, I cud understand dat and live wid dat and (2) Well ah doh have tuh type dat fuh all tuh read, all yuh already know what number 2 is, dey run and hide in de closet nah and deh peepin at the monitor, more fire fuh all yuh.In USA and Europe, dey have some rights eh, but ah still dislike dem wid ah real, real passion, so ah couldn't help tuh buss this post out. Wid meh *K kross meh back ah will k**l more dan eleven, cuz dem BM and dem surely not going tuh heaven  >:(.HIGHLY BLESSED.

So why one of the reasons cah be that certain people rather talk football and not celebrity gossip? Why you of the opinion that they have to be running and hiding? I doh understand that logic at all

Dat my friend, I wud put under number one, dey just don't get involved in topics of dat nature and prefer to talk sports, etc. Supa not mad at yuh eh meh friend, as ah matter of fact, ah like how yuh come out and give yuh lil opinion, dat cool wid I. However, my post was not made for you to understand, like, dislike, support, rate, which ever word yuh want tuh use. It was said to let you all know ah doh like dem, and I will repeat myself, de guilty individuals, dey does run and hide, ah not taking back no chat. HIGHLY BLESSED.
uh

Supa, it have rel nastiness in dis world right now, and while i do condone d bull shit, dats jus d way it is...so in d mean time me eh business if yuh gay, straight, white, green, religious or atheist.... To each is own, and every man will be judged by Jah according to d choices dey make.... Once yuh gimme meh F$%&ing respect and doh come wrong me with yuh folly i cool....

One ting as much as i doh like the BM ting, if 2 sweet, delicious, ripe, Succolant, exotic, woman wuz to crawl in meh bed 2nite ah know i eh go get vex..... ;D

Football / Capello happy with England target
« on: May 07, 2008, 01:55:50 PM »
Fabio Capello believes ambitious targets set for him by the Football Association are achievable.

The Italian is expected to lead England to at least the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup or Euro 2012 as part of the FA's four-year strategic vision.

And despite England's failure to reach Euro 2008, Capello says the targets have not put him under undue pressure.

"We must be positive and my personal objective in every team I have coached was to go to the top," he said.

"I am not under any pressure. It's no problem for me and it's no surprise these targets have been set. I believe that it's important to have these targets and to work towards them.

"We should all be confident of this because the team I have at the moment is capable of reaching these objectives."
Capello led England to a 2-1 victory over Switzerland in his first game in charge in February, but this was followed by a lacklustre 1-0 defeat away to France.

Both games were friendlies and the 61-year-old Capello will not get his first taste of competitive action until the World Cup qualifiers in September.

Before then England have further friendlies lined up with the United States, Trinidad and Tobago and the Czech Republic and Capello is likely to continue to experiment as he searches for a permanent captain.

FA chairman Lord Triesman insists the targets, imposed after an extensive review by English football's governing body, are realistic.

"We've got to work fast in order to get into tournaments and get through at least to the semi-finals, preferably win them," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"I'm no different from anyone else, I want us to win them, but I want us to at least make the final mix where you are playing the Brazilians or the Italians or where you are really in against the sides at the top.

"It's not only an immediate thing but it's a middle-term thing. Just doing it once wouldn't be good enough."

The FA's review also recommended the appointment of an international performance director and approved plans to have the National Football Centre (NFC) at Burton up and running by 2010.

Lord Triesman said that whoever takes up the role of performance director will not be Capello's boss, but will be charged with looking after the teams directly beneath the senior side.

"I want the very best person we can get and my clear preference is for someone who is English, if we can find the right person who can do it," he said.

"We need someone who understands sports performance but I feel strongly that unless that person understands football performance as well, they will not be able to do the job properly.

"The performance director needs to be able to understand what it is among our competitors that makes them so successful.

You look around the world at other countries who have done well tournament after tournament, such as Brazil, Italy and Germany and we have to make sure we learn everything they are doing."

Capello backed plans for the NFC, which he believes will play a major part in the development of talented young players.

"It is important to have a centre, to have a home - a place where we can go back and be together, spend time together, feel the spirit of the shirt we are wearing, regroup and achieve the targets that we want to achieve," he said.

"As we all know, only 38% of players in the Premier League are English.

"But having said, that there are lot of young players at the Under-21 level and younger that are very good so there is plenty of talent."

Will try to make it, i hard dis rounds we, a hadda open a account for warrior games to buy tickets... So much games, i eh vex doh, dat nice.... at least we have more games dis round to make sure the squad better prepared...

True, but which one of the squads ?  So far we play about four games with about 50 players and have another 11 on the outside looking in...hhhmm

For real eh, but it will still provide some more depth in the squad....something that we were lacking for a while.... After looking at the team over the last few games, and having a look at the over seas, I'm hopeful that Maturana will finally select the actual side to go into the qualifiers...
