I find it hard to keep with both forums though. Right now I am almost exclusively with this one. I hope everybody makes the switch soon and we could really get some good discussions going.

3-2 now. Barca leading on aggregate.

It might sound strange but Chelsea were better off with the game at 2-0 rather than 3-0. They are in trouble now.

Football / Re: A statement from Russell Latapy
« on: March 07, 2005, 05:17:30 PM »
Latas making more sense than the current team management. He is being honest and forthright and professional even when defending himself.

The fact is that St. Clair and the team management have no interest in Latapy. They want Yorke, they want Seabra but the ydon't really want Latapy.

It is their right to rate a player as they see fit but it is a load a shit to make it seem as if he doesn't want to play for the country when THEY DO NOT WANT HIM. If St. Clair had half the interest in Latapy that he had in Yorke we would have heard about it, but the fact is he doesn't.

I wish Russell the best and can't wait until he is involved in T&T football again in some capacity.

The spirit of '99 palos. Watch it.

Seriously though Carroll f*** up a good thing. A 0-0 draw would have suited United to the core because Milan would have had to come out and attack.

It will be close though. United hasn't lost a European tie by more than a goal these past few years (except for Bayern and Dortmund) and I really expect them to do well tomorrow.

Sorry fellas but I cannot criticize latapy too much.

At age 36 the man has a rght to decide not to get involved in a WC campaign when he is trying to coach and just recuperate from games. A 10-hour flight is no easy thing. The man is probably being honest enough to know that he will not be able to give his all.

Also I will always give latas a pass because he was committed to this side right through the 90's. When Yorke, Shaka and Leonson wasn't coming home for whatever reasons, Latapy was there.

He had one major transgression with teh Barbados trip thing and he definitely seemed to be making bad decisions in his final days at Hibs but I can't hold a grudge against the man.

I certainly can't write no dotish poem crying the man down.

Football / Re: T&T Will Qualify! Here me out
« on: March 07, 2005, 04:06:19 PM »

Yuh eh lie but nothing any of us say actually relates to the squad and its development. What I was trying to get across is that CR, Panama or Guatemala eh exactly lighting up the stage with their play.

It was known going in that this was a very good opportunity for us because of the four places and the 1st round groups. I feel that is why they fire Stuart-Charles so soon after the draw. CR struggling and JA not being there are just added bonuses. But none of that is new to us. That situation has been shaping up since the middle of the semi-final round.

What I'm feeling though is that as promising as it looks we have shown nothing to say that it will happen, much as I would like it to be so.

Even the fact that it is in Germany is very seductive since it is one of the more accessible hosting countries for me personally and I have real friends over there. Every thiing is lining up nicely EXCEPT for th eteam's prformance (probably the most important thing).

Optimistic observer, but nothing that you have said there tells me why we WILL qualify. I am sure that Panama, Guatemala and Cr sitting down and making similar calculations based on our patchy form to date.

Right now I'm trying my best to make it home for the Panama game on June 8th. It looking to be very close due to work commitments and unfortunately the Mexico game is out. Miami would be nice but I'm hoping that they make it to the quarters and semis so I could see them here in the northeast.

Ah wonder if Bertille going after Zamora as he in England ?

The man to look for is Ellington. Scored again today. Of all the strikers of Caribbean heritage and birth in England he is the best this season, and that includes the likes of Yorke, Fuller and Stern.

I don't feel he will commit now though, because Zamora was just as hot two years ago and hoping to making it big in the Prem. The fact that even Andy Johnson is getting a chance by scoring goals in a struggling team will give him confidence that if he performs he could play for England.

I see that they have him listed with one name like a Brazilian "Silvio". I really hope that things work out for him.

I hope he doesn't suffer because of the change in management.

Is Bertille's job in jeopardy?

Let m christen the thing eh...

Yes his job is in jeopardy, he definitely feels so and he is constantly on the defensive. Despite that jack is giving him more time and resources than many mangers that we have had in the past.

He definitely needs some good results in the hex, and quick.
