Football / Re: LATAPY APPOINTED HEAD COACH
« on: April 08, 2009, 04:48:05 PM »
Well i hope things will change for the better. Though I agree with Pacho being out of the picture I am unsure if Latas will make this team better. Not all great players become great coaches. But it seems as though when he (Latas) is on the field that all the players' confidence seem to grow so I just hope this happens from him being on the sidelines. If one thing I am sure about is that the squad selection will be much better...........................................I also wonder with Latas being a national icon if he were to fail, wud the fans here call for his head as they did with Pacho?....

Also I would like to thank Maturana for assisting us so far in the campaign...Although I wanted him out I did understand his tactics sometimes....Sometimes a coach tactics works out and he is labelled a genius if not then he is called a hound..When Beenie brought on Cornell Glen vs Sweden instead of a defender, we fans applauded that bcuz it worked out but had we conceded goals we wud call him a dunce.....Had we won the El Salv game he might still be employed by the T&T. The main problem I think was his team selection....I wish him well in his future endeavours..

All the best to the Little Magician, he has the entire country supporting him. GO SOCA WARRIORS

Football / How would players tackle Latas in the Pro League?
« on: January 26, 2009, 01:24:46 PM »
I was now talking to my bredrin and we were wondering how players would tackle Latas in the Pro League?
We were wondering seeing that Latapy is a national icon he may not be tackled aggresively or he might be tackled extra aggresively.

Scenario 1: pro league player X " boy I eh wah go een hard on Latas, next ting I break up d Little Magician and f*ck up we WCQ chances."

Scenario 2: pro league player Y " Latas is a player just like n e one else in dis league and I aint shying away from my tackles."

Scenario 3: pro league player Z " Me eh taking no beat from no 40 yr old. I eh care if is Latapy or Zidane. Is level blade i pelting out dey. I cah be on play of d day and dem fellas on d block laffing at me. I real kick fuh Latas."

Arazi dat St. Anthony's team was a bomb squad.

I started CIC in 95 and Anthony's had rahim, nigel pierre on d squad dat year fuh real.

Their other stars besides Carlos and Ethan Stewart when they won were Marcus Rodriguez, Sean Cooper, Jermaine ( a real good keeper ). They also had an indian fella playing left or right back that was solid too.I think one of the Westfield brothers from Malick went to Anthony's but i not sure if its that yr or 98.

CIC 96 team. This is the yr school football got cancelled due to teachers striking. Our team had players like
Chello, Richard Santana, Zane O'Brien, Mathew Camacho, Cambridge, Leslie 'Tiger' Fitzpatrick.

Benedicts team in 97 and 98 were good also

Spann, Lyndon Diaz, 'Ice', Cornwall, Alpheus benjamin, Arazi (strong possibility its the forumite), Toussaint, Dia Hunte

St. Anthony's 02 team was playing like a ranked NCAA Div 1 team. Was a serious bomb squad.

QRC 97 with marco and co. was a bomb squad also.

Eldo 01 team with Wiltshire, bevin, Abede was a big team too.

Nigel Daniel plays a good left back although he is a right footer. Had a good tournament for the last Digicel Cup. Ancil Farrier is a good left back too

As long as Jamaica beat Canada they should make the Hex bcuz the rather face JA than Honduras in the Hex and Sven also has to reassure the Mexican public that he is a "good coach."

Football / BLEEDER IS RHEL RHEL SHIT
« on: September 10, 2008, 07:15:31 PM »
Is years dis Densil Theobald doin ppl dis injustice. I know is half time and ah doh care if we win Maturana need to send dis man home....He losing ball.......he escorting like is a motorcade..bad pass. Dis man is a WORLD CUP player and he doing nothing on dat field....I came to the conclusion that he is either ah obeah man or a con man bcuz is years he fooling some very accomplished coaches....yuh player every minute of every game in the WC wuking a obeah or by conning Beenie and is d same ting he doin to Maturana, he also fool Latas into recommending him to Falkirk. Toussaint needs to come on for him, matter of fact they cud put Lawrence or Jan Michael to play the attacking midfield....I know it have men on dis board who does back Bleeder, I used to give him leeway but I cah take dis no more.......dis is d worse ting in a boots. He not even lighting up d Pro league....

my 2 cents..

TI, I doh tink dat d man pessimistic.....he calls it as he sees it. Touches as a fan of the Soca Warriors

and being a citizen of T&T should demand the best from the players and staff that representing

our country. We have experienced times when other caribbean countries we scared to play us bcuz

they know is 4 and 5 they could get on any given day..........T&T was a team feared by the entire

concacaf region. Concacaf respects us now but I'm not sure if all of them fear us.

........................................Is like yuh blaming d journalist fuh reporting d crime in our country.................and i think he's saying that although we won some games we have not been playing well and against superior opposition we would be punished for some of the rookie mistakes the team is making.

All Sissoko will see is Ronaldinho heels kickin up dirt.

Why Seedorf bein such a gyul about shirt numbers?
Dat not important at all.
Is like Seedorf feelin threatened and want to run de show.

Ah doh tink seedorf feeling threatened. He said when he came Rui Costa had the 10 and he had to wait so he just saying that Dinho hadda wait.....Zidane went Real and wore 5 so  I doh think Dinho will make a scene off of a no. issue but i tink will probably step in cuz dey want their boy wearing 10.

I wonder what no. is Dinho going to get cuz Seedorf already said he's not giving up the 10. And Nike is pushing Dinho's R10 brand so i would like to see what becomes of this.

Football / Re: Keane: Loyalty a two-way street in football
« on: July 17, 2008, 02:02:01 PM »
I think Roy Keane is spot on with his view of the situation......All d Man U fans saying dat Ronaldo not being loyal bcuz he want to leave, but when fergie wanted to get rid of Yorke to buy Di Canio wasnt Fergie being disloyal by wanting Yorke to leave before his contract was up? When a club wants to get rid of you they get rid of you as in Dinho's and Eto's case.......so this is definitely a two way street when we talking about loyalty..........Keane tells it as it is and respect him 4 dat

Captained QRC for a yr while i was still in school........good holding midfielder the last time I saw him play....he was also on W Connection's  U 20 team, with Kenwyne Jones, Roderick Anthony, Jan Michael Williams, Andre Pacheco, Kern and Kyle Cupid, Carrington, Phillips, Buck Buck (cant remember his real name).....dat was a bomb squad too.

Although Spann hasn't looked good for us recently, he has been playing out of position and I think if Spann wasn't injured, Bleeder would have been liming next to Wolfe, Cox and Ince for our 3 games. Spann tends to play more balls to the strikers as opposed to Bleeder's lateral passes. Spann was in good form just before the World Cup too.
