Dat referee is VERY generous to have not given Dante a second yellow on dat foul.

Nah we doh need the match tuh geh spoil. But Dante need tuh watch he self!

Nah, the match being "spoiled" would have had nothing to do wit h the ref...is Dante who make de tackle, not de ref.

Right now, I don't think the Bundesliga could ask for a better advertisement.
This game have pace, skills, drive, directness, great goalkeeping, swarming defense and two teams that don't like each other.
All it missing is goals.

And some good English commentary!   :D

He is 26 and now sign a 5 year contract with Monaco.. whatever dream he had of playing for a big club is over.. Spurs was his best chance, they would have come back in for him this summer... I agree that he good enough to play for any of the big clubs in England and Madrid could find a spot for him if Alonso leaves..

Oh well..

James Rodriguez will play 2-3 seasons there and they will sell him for big bucks if he keeps his projected path..tipped to be the next big thing..only 21 now so a couple more seasons to boost his rep

Monaco trying to build a good squad to take on PSG one time..when they get a CL spot is even more money hungry men going there..I will bet scarface Tevez end up there this summer

How Moutinho still hasn't been bought by a major club yet is beyond me.

Truth! He was outstanding for Portugal in the Euro. Sometimes players just comfortable, money is enough and piece of mind with enjoyment more important. I get the feeling this was always his motivation. He may jump to Monaco now just for security. Then again, comfortable club, tiny fan base, minimal pressure & stunning life style. Remember Klinsman went there at 28 (in his prime), Morientes at 27 the list goes on

  precise is correck!  :beermug:

Johnson recognizes he is still in the learning phase, and he recruited Bernstein, who played soccer at Dartmouth, to be his primary teacher.

“I knew it was going to be hard as soon as he told me what was going on,” Bernstein said. “But I said to him, ‘How do you not go on this journey?’ It’s a chance to see the world. I was honored to come along.”

Bernstein signed a part-time contract with Fox (he said his title was associate producer), and he is essentially Johnson’s right-hand man: tutor, counselor, study guide preparer, fact checker.

They spent much of their first flight to Europe more than a year ago wading through a five-page memo produced by Sky Sports on soccer’s murky offside law. They muddled through the first few broadcasts with Bernstein continually sliding pieces of paper in front of Johnson as prompts. They sat with the famed English broadcaster Martin Tyler last month, watching the Real Madrid-Dortmund second leg semifinal match from a hotel in Barcelona.

That evening, both men said, was important in Johnson’s development.

Yuh mean to tell me, he couldna call on one of the esteemed HU ballers?

He calling on all the big men with big name.....and is the basics he cyah get right.  Simple spanish names he gardener coulda teach him to pronounce properly ("Dah-veed" not "Day-vid"; "Een-ee-esta" not "Ee-in-esta" or "Ee-en-esta" and "Muller" not "Moooh-ler")....but who is going to teach him his poor timing....or that he doh have to scream and shout for every shot or ball that seems to be heading in the general direction of the goal area? Men takin' bad shots that clearly going overbars from the time it leave man foot and he screamin' like if he leading a battle charge with chaos all around him.

Anyway, like I does tell players when ah playing or coaching, don't be predictable, don't be the guy who always holds the ball everytime yuh get, mix it up so the opponent never knows what to expect...predictability is BORING ;)

Oh, and let's go Gus, you will do great my BROTHA!

Want tuh see what Real will do tuh match this move! First dey need tuh take collective bushbaths tuh remove the stench of Jose from dey pores!

Real's (Jose's) biggest mistake was trying to do like Portugal did and have everybody on the team defer to ronaldo. They are a squad just as deep and talented as Bayern.

I does get rel kicks when I see and hear men talking about Neymar getting to easily pushed off the ball....as much as the Brazilian national team's play does not revolve aroung physical play, men does forget how brutal football can be in their domestic league(s).  I watched  him play in the olympics last year and saw nothing in his game to suggest he can't thrive in Europe, particularly in spain, playing for Barca.  If there is any brazilian that tends to seem "soft" and a little intimidated by physical play in Europe it's Oscar (Chelsea) and we all got to find out this season that it didn't stop him from having a decent season.  I never get to see him play for Santos, but another aspect of his game that I noticed with Brazil is that he works off the ball, he is not another Ronaldino.....if Barca go back to their high-pressure defence that they seemed to have lost a bit this season, he will do his part very well.

Hmmm...was there even any hype around this final> I could have easily forgotten it was today.

I'm not that interested in seeing two German teams play against each other. But they both deserve to be there.

Doh mind dat, Toppa, I did wake up dis mawnin' thinkin' it was Thursday.

I'm sure it's for a number of reasons....but I would like to think the main one being: "they had no other choice".  Yuh might even see in our lifetime, the majority of English players becoming more of a refined, artful kinda player (that can thrive outside of an open-spaced environment) instead of the typical butt-and-run, ram goat kinda brand.  :beermug:

Chow...because Hazing does go on all over , doh make it right, or mean you have to be subjected to anything, if you don't want to be part of. Ppl fight & die to give we that choice.  If something is wrong, and we don't want to be involved, we are free to say NO.

form Wiki
Hazing is the practice of rituals and other activities involving harassment, abuse or humiliation used as a way of initiating a person into a group. Hazing is seen in many different types of social groups, including gangs, sports teams, schools, military units, and fraternities and sororities. In the United States and Canada, hazing is often associated with Greek-letter organizations (college fraternities and sororities). Hazing is often prohibited by law and may comprise either Physical abuse (possibly violent) or psychological abuse. It may also include nudity or sexually-oriented offenses.

Maxg, this wasn't a case of hazing yuh know....this was plain and simple locker room pranks.   I agree that in the case of some of these frat houses and sororities, there have been many incidents of physical and mental torture and I know all too well how far overboard many of them have gone but that does not apply here at all. KJ did himself zero favours here, all he did was show them fellas that he cyah take a joke.  I don't think that from here on in (if he stays with this team) that they won't get past it and move on....but it just make him look to his teammates that he is an uptight, oversensitive fella.  Who knows, maybe they had already thought about him is why they may have targeted him, tryin' to loosen him up a lil' bit.

106
I willing to bet giggsy, mango chow and triniairman that if allyuh was part of a pro team, and you went to take a hot shower after a tough training session and found when you returned to you locker that all you had to wear was soiled with human excrement ( breake, jizz, semen or kaka) all over your things,

i willing to bet that allyuh would have done worst than KJ! so why is a pigs innerds any different?? its all appalling!! i knoiw if i went back to my locker and saw a ded animal on my personal affacts i would go off on who ever did it, i may not beak a windshield, but i would overreact!!

i've noticed that ppl who are quick to judge others are very sheltered and never experienced a lot in life, so they compare every one else by their standards.

the man break the fackin windshield, he did the big man thing and apologized. he's paying for it, move on ppl and get off the bredder dick nah man!!

Look at where de f**k YOU goin', talkin' 'bout dog shit and semen, yuh eh see something terribly wrong with you?...and trying to compare dem to a pig's head.....Boss, I was in scouts and I was in de damned military, just like you so wha de hell yuh could tell me about pranks?!  And I can't even get started on the line of work I do now, men does pull pranks that could make men pack up dey shit and walk off of jobs if dey not "man enough"....Maybe yuh boy KJ is de one that is too sheltered and doh know how to participate in a little "esprit de corps" from time to time.  From de time man was getting eggs and flour thrown all over dey car (at the end of the damned season, no less) yuh know full well shit goin' and go down and the onus is on you to do one of three things: (1) join in de fun and ketch men slippin'. (2) pack up yuh shit right away and go home. (3) hang around, take pictures and post on twitter when other men get ketch and then act like a little sour puss ass when you get ketch....like KJ did.

Trini airman I think yuh get my point about unprofessional reaction that can occur in an unprofessional setting. And one don't have to be a punk foranybody to do anything to anybody....regardless of the consequences and fall out that occur after the fact...I personally find this hazing/prank thing to foolish for big men..yet some ppl, not singling out anybody, think it's worth a good laff..for me when yuh become a man, humour  & entertainment should take a different form. Obviously millions doh make the men, even if the men make millions..each his own.. I hope K j actions serve to help the pertinent authorities contain that level of inmaturity jmo

Add: KJ should even buy whelan an a whole new car..but  bet a mistake won't happen round he again....unless, it's NOT a mistake

What form yuh think the humour and entertainment should take? Pranks and hazing is something does go on anywhere and everywhere. Scouts, cadets, sports teams, fraternities, sororities. the military, every where....I know some men who does work in construction does get all kindsa pranks played on them..The best way to deal with it, even if yuh doh wants no part of it is to jes laugh it orff and keep it moving.  More often than not, if something go overboard where your property is destroyed, the men responsible will jes replace your item and buy uh a drink when allyuh limin' in de bar afterward.  KJ's reaction, to me, is more suited to locker room bullying, which I highly doubt was the case.

Jones could geh vex if he wants but tuh buss the man windshield because taught it was him was stupid and hotheaded! There were better ways for him tuh handle that situation. And he woman should stay out of it, she not on the team or in the locker room. Hush yuh arse! Welan shoulda press charges and make him pay for dotishnessdecision/reaction!
Whelan is not totally innocent. He is the main prankster. Apparently the real story is that the pig's head was put in Etherington's locker by Whelan. Etherington tried to get even by putting it in Whelan's locker but accidentally put it in KJ's locker instead. The rest is history...

Don't athletes in pretty much all major sports playing for top-tiered teams in world renowned leagues like the BPL have their names tagged over their lockers?  I eh buying that "accidentally put it in KJ's locker" part....but at the same time, I eh agree with KJ's reaction....He have to be around enough to know what going on and have to expect that he is fair game as is everybody else.  I curious to know, also, if the whole issue is about the pig's blood getting on his clothes, just how much blood actually did get on his clothes.  Unless they slaughter a fresh pig on the grounds and take the blood-dripping head directly to the locker room, I am willing to bet is a butcher shop dey geh dah pig head from and that be the case, hummuch blood dem ting does really have in it? Steuwps!  And, yeah, Giggsy, KJ woman needed to keep quiet and handle she man proper when he come home from a hard day at the training grounds.

Why Allyuh doh focus on how we could improve on always propagating negative

It's not that people only propagating the negative, people calling out TnT football for what it is and that is a failing, inadequate, inferior product. How is focusing on the positives (on here) going to translate into our football (on any level) becoming the positive football we can actually see in reality instead of something that we can only now, see in our dreams?

:D Yes it was, I actually doh even believe ronaldo touch de man, but to be honest, if was against anybody else, ah mighta geh vex because I rel hate de diving, too, but when ah see is ronaldo gettin a taste of his own medicine (and he administer enough medicine to full up all dem pharmacy in Ft Lauderdale eh.  :D) ah cyah feel sorry fuh him.....but I agree, fifa need to be rel forceful wit de diving.

Interesting cause in the video replay it looked like the man eh get touch, but on the side line he had a bloody nose. Real can have no complaints in slow motion most of the refs calls were spot on. Congrats Atl Madrid  :applause:

The Russian judge give that dive a 10!
The ref give it a red - for Ronaldo, whose only involvement in that incident was to get fouled, hard.

I agree wit yuh, I think it was a dive....but he payin' fuh all the other shit he do earlier.

Paying for what?
Ah man kick you down, then pretend he get hit somehow and you get a red?
He on the ground like something happen to he? If I going to get a card, at least let me kick down the man for real. Them is the kind of thing that should result in a 3 match ban after the review the tape.

I thought yuh was watching the whole game....yuh obviously missed the two occasions where ronaldo did practically the exact same things you just described....not AS melodramatic, but the same kinda simulation all the same....one of his victims (or "perpetrators" if one was to fall for his faking) even had to come off from getting injured from the kick ronaldo ress on him.
