Football / Re: Why is Yorke not playing in the games against Grenada?
« on: April 24, 2006, 02:17:19 PM »
this would have been a good match sweat for him where he could pace himself for 90 mins and work on his game attack and goal scoring.... widdout having to work too hard to win the ball or play too deep in midfield....let de youngboys win de ball and let york lead the line,...it would have been good for the home guys ( baptiste etc) to play alongside him too , help them to raise their game

she defines the word 'waggonsista'

wat corneal has now done is make it doubly hard for baptiste to get a shot. by putting his mouth on the boy and talking nonsense about telesford being the best defender he gone and spoil things for telesford too. baptiste is a good player but so too are the 24 players named. hopefully he gets a shot. who knows, he may end up getting a shot.

for me

biggest rivals  - jablo v joe public

best home record - jablo

flex, north east stars were aleady beaten at home by joe public so that is one down already on deh home record - also means that they can be beaten at home this season
also joe public advantage is not that big at home yea it is a bad ground but i th ink that is where jablo played all their fa cup games last year and won all so they have a good record there too

« on: April 12, 2006, 07:42:35 AM »
brej, ....when you say "cyd, gray" - are you talking about one person or two ( ian gray perhaps) i think you mean cyd gray because i dont see any other gray making that team

spann, denzil and shakes,....of the lot i'll take spann then perhaps denzil but i dont know how he is doing ....kerry baptiste should be given a good look by beenhakker. i think he is much much more effective than shakes and is already active and in form. neaves should get selected.

u r right there g.

no doubt making it mandatory is the only way it would work but still only for those clubs that could afford it. keeping information and having a website is not a main thing to most of them right now. winning matches is much much more important.

what the league should do is get a centralised website on which they post purely league info and updates and make the clubs contribute propotionally to the cost of maintaining that the site.

the report says that there were spectators but i reckon they were on teh covered section. same side as teh cameras. ;D

its not only about forcing professionalism. its also about money and finding people to do the job and then sticking with it. nobody produces match statistics not even for our national matches.i dont know what it takes to get it done in terms of what technology or whatever they use but they need to start doing it more often until it becomes a habit like recording and posting pictures and footage.

« on: April 11, 2006, 06:18:04 AM »
trinifinite i think that rahim and baptiste stand a very good chance of playing in both matches and/or making beenhakker team more than any of the other chaps mentioned. particularly rahim has a very good chance of making it. he is active and playin now at home with jabloteh so i think he should stand a good chance.

Football / Re: Tobago United sign 5 players.
« on: April 11, 2006, 06:14:33 AM »
looks like tobago utd need more than 5 new players,...they need a lot of luck too

they just lost the first match of the season at home.

maybe they can build a team around this wiltshire guy.i dont know why he went to tobago in the first place as a first choice unless he is looking to kill off his career.

wouldnt it have been better to let corneal coach that team? as beenie's understudy if he becomes local head coach for WC2010 most of those same lads will be trying to make his own team for 2010 WC anyway

in my opinion, there probably is no perfect striker's profile....from Van Basten to Romario...the best come in all different shapes and sizes.

u're probably right because few strikers get more headed goals than short man michael owen.

81
what would be your thoughts on a perfect striker's physical profile Filho....i would say wayne rooney, i would also say stern john ( physical profile only not skill and finishing)

some innate attributes can be threatening yet not maximized - for instance - being long legged is great for thierry henry's speed but even though he has height yet he doesnt score headed goals too often....maybe that is because of a lack of another attribute,....like being able to judge good ball flight and maneuver his head to meet the ball....i guess

Football / Re: Pound 4 Pound.. The Best Soca Warrior is ??
« on: March 20, 2006, 03:29:23 PM »
best soca warrior = yorke ( no question, versatile, best man fuh de captaincy)

best pound for pound warrior = latas (small in size but uses it well)

favourite warrior = whitley (fighter, warrior with cyd gray and 'me mum' running close behind)

baddest warrior = whitley

warrior with the baddest walk = marvin 'dog' andrews

warrior with best goal celebration = lawrence :rotfl: ( or is it bleeder?)

88
well done whitley.  :beermug:

he deserves it. he plays hard. true warrior with a fighter spirit. i liked his commitment against bahrain.

good to see a talented man get recoginised and rewarded so. yuh movin up bredda. that will be good encouragement ;D

as far as i know the brand name is international. the athlete's foot only sells genuine stuff. that is why its usually expensive to buy from them. ;D but say what. i glad to see they supporting the football.

i dont really know roberts very well nor what he has been saying lately...was he ever against warner...  if he was and is now sucking up to jack i guess he sounds like a major 'soup drinker'.... :o

many men would sell their soul for a world cup ticket and a chance to be part of history.....

i guess it will be a bit more interesting. not having to face the same damn team so many times can help keep the players motivated. ;D
