Listen to this trinidad footballers whether junior or senior have lots of problems but for me I see one glaring problem over the years we're in awe of major competition it's as though we're stuck in a state of perpetual stage fright.

I got this.

The first black player to play internationally was Andrew Watson who played for Scotland between 1881 and 1882. He played club for Queen's Park but in those days, players took pride in being amateurs. The first black professional player was Arthur Watson for Preston North End in 1889. He was mainly a goalkeeper who sometimes took the field. Artur Friedenreich was the first black Brazilian who started his career in 1910. He dyed his hair and skin to avoid problems for the first years of his career. He is the leading goalscorer of all time with even more goals than Pele.

I think he was referring to US-based players Tallest, - men who WERE playing regularly like Sealy (heh heh heh), Birchall and some other college and A-league players could have and in retrospect SHOULD have been dafted into the Digicel team... but he either never saw them playing or ignored them to his and the team's detriment.

One of the greatest criticisms of Russel Latapy by some was that he did not watch enough of the local football matches or even travel abroad to watch some of the overseas based players plying their trade outside of the UK based players.

As far as I know, Latas used to go to Pro League matches on a regular basis. I doh see de point in going abroad tuh check we players because most of dem doh hold ah regular starting position on dey club team. Imagine yuh gone quite tuh de UK, and de player get ah cobo sweat. Yuh better off getting tapes of de matches.

TTFF barely paying de staff, and dey go send somebody abroad tuh watch people play? ::) Actually, is a bigger issue which doh have nutten tuh do with whoever is de current coach. For the last umpteen years, our scouting has been marginal. De TTFF should have a proper scouting structure/network in place. Not only locally, but internationally. Dey should be getting tapes of games from foreign leagues where our players are plying their trade. Dey should be keeping tabs on the progress of all players in clubs and colleges abroad because we need to cast our net far and wide.

Tallest it sounding like yuh lobbying for ah wuk, call yuh price and ah go wuk part-time fuh yuh ah have good eye fuh serious talent....

Good choice but the money thing we can't do nothing about that it's unfortunate that the rich get richer and the poor get even poorer, hopefully there's a way out of this where situations are dealt with fairly and equitably it's been a lot of years of money woes for players.

God is good.

Who vex lorse, national can't make the grade to the big dance, the under 23's can't make it either and here comes the under 17's failing once again to make any significant strides.

At this point me ent care bout what we do last year or how much tournament we come close to winning or we have some serious talent on the team all kinda f**king excuses, I will eat my words or retract my statements when we starting winning tournaments plain and simple.Until then is the same repetitive shittt on this board.

Football / Re: Allyuh know this fact about Ron Laforest
« on: February 13, 2011, 10:52:56 AM »
This the attitude a strker must have. Some people had a hard time dealing with him outside of football. He is one of them that I have to say born the wrong time.

Ron was the complete forward ..he scored goals from his head to his toe ....he could dribble and would often taunt defenders during the game ...one time he was playing against a young team in his old days and he was taunting a young defender who was giving him back talk ...except Ron was walking off and the defender was following him talking back at him ...it was almost too late when the defender realised that Ron had taken him out of position ...if not for his astute coach he would have paid the price ...Ron only laughed and remarked ...he eh ready yet !

One time vs Caroni ( leroy Spann's team ) in the Premier league ( Suite League ) Ron put his foot on the ball and challenged anyone to come and get it ...a la Garrincha ..... he was a total showman ...and still is ... we dont have that type of entertainment anymore ...man get serious and coaches have coached out the bravado in our football ...

Very nicely said!!

I know one thing, if i had ah yute in T&T i was bringing them out that place wid ah quickness, i woulda take my chances here in NYC.  it seems like if yuhs ah yuteman yuh could lose yuh lil life for absolutely "NOTHING" @ all in dat slack place!!!

T&T definitely need tuh reinstate the noose & gallows, that and ah few good dedicated law men, but then again, when the law men bring them in, the judiciary settin them free to kill again.

it seems like law enforcement and the justice system not workin hand in hand, it's more like hand and foot! what ah discombobulated society this T&T is.  may god help us.                                             positive.

Interesting!!!!

« on: February 04, 2011, 06:47:08 AM »
Ryan you don't think Europeans despise the fact that they're losing out to South American teams. I always get the sense when listening to commentators in Europe that they are in awe of the South Americans but would much rather see a European in the spot light or would over rate an ok European(BALE, OWEN) ......not to sound racist or anything of the sort but one seems to get the sense of "We Made It So We Should Have The Best" ......its the same in the administrative side.....when European bids for World Cups are rejected by FIFA it is almost blasphemous. You always get the sense that the believe they are better than anything outside Europe(which is why everyone loves brazil because they go against the "Euro Babylon System")

And they're currently the third largest Growing economy behind China and India go brazil!!!!!

Meantime, senior team striker Cornell Glen is exploring options outside of the MLS. He recently returned from a trial in Iran. “I’ve just got back from Iran and I’m looking at a couple other options in Europe. I’ve had interest from a club in Germany and Sweden and I should be heading out shortly,” Glen said.

It was the Mexicans who took up the protest because it knocked them out of the running as well.

profile on the ref
http://worldreferee.com/site/copy.php?linkID=4013&linkType=referee&contextType=bio#

"After the Mexicans (who didn't qualify) complained and alleged that something must have been going on, Henriquez was banned for life and the linesmen were taken off the FIFA list."

But how did that help us quite frankly the game should've been replayed different referees different location.

Can we the people or fans have a public vote of no confidence against TTFF that can cause a dismantling of the football organization ?

Anything is possible but unfortunately we have plenty chiefs on board and not enough bottle washers.

I Have to say this is not easy for any man maybe easier for a woman,I've witnessed where male friends of mine in some cases gone crazy or have a serious nervous breakdown when there girlfriends or wives cheat on them.

It's even worse if they find out it's someone they know,an emotion takes over that many can't recognise or control and what comes next could be deadly either way,yuh see a man has an ego that constantly needs boosting and when someone takes that away from them, they start to question themselves is something wrong with me I'm I getting fat I'm not good in bed,but I love her so why would she do this.

A poster say move on but it's not that easy because in their minds it could happen again, boy I tell you why we do the things we do is a mystery to me.
