J Jones  - Most improved player over the last 2 games.
K Daniel & Carlos- significantly lesser movement this game.
We were too predictable and lacked penetration!

For the love of football, can we please stop with this defensive 4-5-1 formation? We are likely the only team with this setup. At least a 4-4-2. Goals win matches and Jones need someone to play off up front.

It sure seemed to work for Brasil.

Brazil didn't play 4-5-1. They played 4-3-3. Fred was a CF, Neymar and Hulk were left and right wingers respectively. The emphasis was on attack. Something T&T hasn't learned yet.

Coming to the Spanish team, Del Bosque will use his tactical master plan to suppress the Brazilian attack with his 4-3-3 formation.
Felipe Scolari will opt for a 4-3-2-1 formation against ‘The Spanish Fury’.

Unquote

This is clearly not a 4-3-3 because the last three should suggest that there are three forwards which was not the case.
So looking at de winning formula, one could clearly see that Brasil played One forward - they weren't starved for goals either; they continued to create opportunities and most importantly, they always had 7 defenders wokkin. so they played a 7-2-1. Neymar and de right flank man is de two. Everybody else ball winning to get it to Fran; who will take it to Stan!

I still backin de doubles style though- plenty pepper!

I still trying to understand Theobald's role on the team.  I'm just a fan and not familiar with the intricacies of the tactics of the game so there are things I will miss.  This is the case with Theobald because every coach plays him.

Congrats to the team.  Nice to see T&T play football without constantly steupsin throughout de game.

Especially agree with these comments. Like you I am no coach and struggle to see what Theobald offers that others don't. Don't get me wrong he is a competent player and holds his own at this level but he is not a match winner and I would not call him a creative midfielder. Like Banton was saying; he is best as a DM but if Hyland does it better a more creative option should be considered in his place.

Looking at how Theobald plays (tends to keep it simple, lateral or backward passes), I imagine coaches consider him to be a more stabilising influence to the teams play.  clearly I am an outsider looking in and there may be more intangibles to his game that I am not experienced enugh to pick out, but I just find that there are others who can do what he does better. Definitely a player worth having in the squad; but not a starter. Just my opinion.
I imagine Bleeder plays an integral role in this team but I too believe that Boucaud would add mobility and I for one can't wait to see him in that spot!

Yippie, I saw the game in its entirety; Only positives for me today!  WELL DONE SH - WELL DONE SOCA WARRIORS and all technical staff from Leo to de equipment manager!  Everything withstanding, the team to me looked sufficient to wrangle with the likes of Haiti and Honduras who I feel we beating if we continue upwards!

Ah miss Peltier on de right but what I saw from Daniel gives me a warm feeling inside to replace the loss,  of Guerra; Potentially of course.  Keon Daniel is de real deal and seems to have been wasted on de flanks for too long but members been singing dat song bout Keon and de middle of de park here forever.

KJ is our best striker and I believe that, that late combining of Gay and KJ, could become a catalyst for needed late goals.

Glad they replaced Keon (preserve our best player on the night)but would have preferred to see a creative option introduced also and it not be KJ, DRoberts and JGay on de field; with a tied-up Carlos and a faded Bleeder. Who will give them the ball? Molino will; thats who! (Especially since Hughton Hector not here)

I believe that D Roberts should be a direct swap for KJ and I probably wouldn't play them together. KJ only good for bout 76 minutes,IMO, at which point I would introduce Roberts. Super-SUB until Glen is fit to possibly retake that title.

Having said that, I would start D. Roberts in front of Kevon Carter on de right. I think Roberts can be lethal, playing with speedy Hoyte on de right flank.

Cya wait for de next game, Ah with-holding judgement but ah inspired.

A respectable unit who look like they could beat Jam-down in a friendly. The measuring stick right!

Brasil showed real workmanship in their ConFed cup. Dat in my opinion should be the new high in football. Lets get back to working our socks off. Blood Sweat & Tears.

Also, Brasil had 6 defenders wokkin all de time. Clog de midfield. Deny & Hustle! We can't get our's fit in time, de lazy bums, but maybe SH could instill, at least, a hustlers workman-like mentality in them.

As such;  I present for your consideration, our very own local style of play....

Its called Doubles- Derived from research of a local doubles-vendor!  I haven't trade-marked it yet; ah open to offers:

The smooth operation of de doubles man; his tact & guile. Technique, distribution(eh one here, five so, eh! how much you need).  Note, the doubles man range of motion is superseded by his ability to operate repetitiously in small spaces.

Anyway;

Ah was a lil disappointed to not see, Peltier & Guerra in de team but I am consoled by the fact that both Darryll Roberts & Hyland are in the team and dat Carlos has been named as a midfielder.

Unleash the Cadillac on de right wing again? Lovin it already!  Molino seems quite nifty and Jamal gay, I am here to say, could be a bust out player dis tourney. Right service being given of course!

Go TnT

136
My point basically was that we are a xenophobic society, and i used hart as an example of our xenophobia, bc the out rage dissipated from local media one day to another based on the nationality of the coach.

beenhakker was announced and the local fraternity when off, then hart was announced and they were silent, this was my point.

even if hart was making more money than beenie it still would not incur such outrage, bc ah local boy was getting paid, but if the other way around? "ah foreigner getting ova on we stupid foreign struck trinis" would be the cry, this is my point.

i don't give ah fork if hart lived six months out the year in canada, and has ah castle in trinidad where he spends his winters, the point iz, he's coming home with knowledge and experience acquired in foreign, just like beenie coming with his wealth of knowledge from ah foreign land, which makes them foreign coaches!

i really hate tuh debate with fellas on here, bc they sooooo rigid in their analysis and seldom let things ride in order to see the bigger picture.

the only difference is hart is trinidadian and beenhakker is not!

Did Lincoln Phillips get his "wealth of knowledge" at home or abroad?  I think, in your attempt to make your Xenophobia point about TnT, you used a bad example. Plain and simple.

I don't think TnT would baulk at Mourinho or Ferguson coming; maybe  its the dutchman who is the problem here. Maybe people are looking at what he's done for TnT - what he could do for TnT- and if it worth 1 mil TT/mth.

Maybe is time TnT went with the Italian style as opposed to the dutch!

All that pain Shabazz feeling and the money he is expecting to be paid
Shabazz check it as community service to your country for the pain and suffering still being felt today, the sour taste is still evident....... :yellowcard:

Cheers to dat. A lil community service!

Best of luck SH.

VB

Yes, congrats and best of luck SH; even better, you are ah son of de soil!  Like Quags say, TTFF should be respectable and do something for Shaba and  especially Babba, cause he/they did put in work under less than favourable conditions.

Babba could be retained and get de  olympic team and ah woulda give T Fenwick de under 21 Team (not cause he white, but because he just- right) also we Keep de competition ripe and open, to ascend de throne.

Results, Results, Results and style of play! Dat is how yuh earn yuh keep, and, go all de way to de top.  Why we need Beenie again?  We still have money left over to bribe one or two countries to play we!  3 coaches; Hart, Fenwick & Babba! Win and get promoted or get demoted.  A firm Three yr contract for all; simultaneous 3yr re-evaluation plan. Every seven months; Promotion, demotion or hold- depending on stats.

On the other side of de spectrum, specifically where Tim Kee  saying- Yo, If allyuh want big Things i.e Big players, big countries to play against and big things like dat; then we have to make big moves. Beenie-man is such a move and thereby warranted. However, I don't see Haiti had to do dat. and I quote..

Antonio Israel Blake Cantero is a Cuban football manager and former player for the Cuban national team. He is currently the manager of the Haiti national football team.

Well, I guess we always have to do it big and bright. Big TnT boy; right?

Oh gosh I fedup with the local coach shit. Give it a rest. Where is this news coming from? Confirmation?

Also another new member or a new account created by a present member to bad talk people. ?

Sorry Calderon if you are indeed new. Too many fake accounts in this forum. Im way suspicious lately

so de 2006 players were dealt a blow of injustice but Shaba and Baba weren't? Or do you pick and choose your injustice based on who yuh like and doh like and who is yuh fren and who aint?

Football / Re: Beenhakker back in charge.

I wonder what Shabazz & Hutson's hustle level would be, if they were offered or being paid, 1 million TT / month. what bout half a million?  Fifty k each a month? As a matter of fact, dem fellas was wokkin for free? really? Well for free, they did dam good.

I go have to stand with de coache/s on dis one because personally, these quick -fixers don't have no scruples. Your range of payment could really be $0.00 to 1milTT / mth, and you  look for equal results from both the zero-naire and de millionaire?

So for Hutson, it should be National Pride but for Leo, money will suffice? Like if Hutson can spend pride in de shop? I know there are those who would love to say that if dey aint good, dey aint good. To that I say, how would we know?..  Dem fellas been running on fumes and then you come give another guy a dam premium gas card?

Lastly,What do they do after the GC, look for Shabazz and Hutson again, and tell dem okay, hope allyuh was watching Beenie-man, because dat is how we want allyuh to do it! and then they'll revert to de national pride structure of payment. Zero!

This is not about Beenie laughing all de way to de bank. I have no problems paying top dollar for good help but before we go off and accuse people of not being up to par, maybe we should check and see what their Par is; cause if its zero, then we aint never see dem men perform for real.

Is this really the answer? Are we looking for a short term fix? This move is like we usual default. Put together low budget teams hope lime heck to qualify bring in star boys work with  local coach then with last minute find foreign coach and hope that is the answer. How many times have this played out? How many times we get the results? The wheels on the bus goes round and round while we still in park.
Development system in play player or team cohesion still remains in the experimental stage.  Why do we appear to be so duncy when it comes to planning? We have money to pay this coach but not to fly in some of we so called better players for friendliest?

We cyst find sponsors for players?  Look nah sometimes ah does have to give in when them other islands looking and laughing at we yes. We think we tricky fuh real.
Wait until all the info is fully divulged before yuh go talking outatimin.  i here waiting for the full report before i say anything incriminating.  :waiting:

Personally, I believe AB is spot on. I dont see what can happen to make me feel different. We applaudin because dey find de bandage pack. AB is pointing out that is is indeed a bandage and if so then why we like bandage so much? Low budget team, a lot of hope and then finally, a quickie from a big name coach.  TnT style of player usage and game development!

Yuh know BaBBa and Shabazz could be coaching dey ass off right now and doing what Jose Mourinho would do to get a team ready but still get horrible results from our players. We talk about foreign players? I dare say that dem local coaches not demanding de respect dat a Don Leo would get.

We must demand more of ourselves than we even knew existed. Doh take no shorts coaches; get dem attitudes and body language correck. And then there is de TTFF and if ah guy even inspired to rep de country for love or money!  Lard help we!

Anybody stop to ask WHY Con paying this debt for the TTFF.

Well now everybody go hee and haw about how Warner get ppl money. The TTFF will do nothing. The Ministry of Sport will do nothing - and about a hundred million TT or more just frigg off.

VB
My sentiments exactly. So if Con wants to pay and move on, then the TTFF should abide unless a stipulation is that "we front de funds like Jack use to, now go get it back from Jack" In which case, I've done collections for years (DIR of OPs)and I will take a wok on dat project!

When you look at the players we have available in midfield, a young dynamic bunch. I really hope we get some practice and the friendlies coming up to make them more cohesive.

Hyland
Guerra
Peltier
Molino
Carter
Daniel
Hector (not sure about his availability)
Winchester
Roberts

Apart from Carter, these are all foreign based pros and the fact that we may probably have to leave out 2 or 3 out of this bunch is a good sign that we are getting a good squad together.
