I feel bad for Tefler. He works hard, plays well...but he hasn’t played with a full strength T&T team yet....

these guys are real f**king shit hounds, they have no business playing this team. worst performance i've seen from any caribbean team. fenwick needs to go back to the drawing board. as for that penalty, as soon as he started his approach i new he was going to miss, very poor penalty. this team is rubbish, there's a very good reason why these guys all play in the usl 1, 2.

It was. Keeper was in his head long before he struck that.

Same shit I was thinking...why we have a defender taking a penalty...what kinda shit is that...it have ab man Mike tefler, with 3 goals in 6 appearances for us, and Alvin taking a penalty...Fenwick bears responsibility for this shit...I liked #11 and #13 energy...tefler looked frustrated, and I eh blame him.

Can ranjitsingh get a Bligh...he plays at a higher level than any of our options...that being said...what now? Any other friendlies?

This was shit.

Wth is going on...there is literally no composure. It’s like we have 8 defenders.,.that are always second to the ball. #3 Pena is non existent...Mr. Tactician Terry, I really hope he could Atleast put together a better defense come second half...and a holding midfield would be nice as well. What d assss, I never see our team play like this before...we haven’t even put together a few passes proper

USA looking to pulverize the Soca Warriors. I hope Terry puts together an experienced team of sorts. This will be a very telling test.

Talk about tarnishing a name. That pig DJW laughing all the way to the back. I understand and support Wallace’s stand. He has a card up his sleeve. The advantage FIFA has is $$, and that buys time....but the FBI also has money and time. Let’s see, more than likely Wallace will lose, but he will plant one hell of a seed, and that in itself is a win!

37
Who's up for the fight? It's time to rumble with an uncompromised message. It's time to protect recent gains. It's time not merely to respond, but to act decisively. It's time to be clear and certain.

Our passport and values are worth nothing if our response is acquiescence.

Do not cosign bullshit and endorse history repeating itself.

But how??? How can we as supporters do something??

38
We need to stand up against fifa guys. Seriously. Let’s petition. I’m sure the TTFA can file an injunction against FIFA whilst appealing this. There has to be some resolve, the measure they’re taking is pretty drastic. IF this conspiracy is true, then the courts can settle this. The present admin was democratically elected.

What?? We a soppy nation that just going and sit down like a bobolee and take manners jussso...this isn’t right guys.

39
This is heartbreaking. They now gonna step in??? When that pig was running our debt up, FIFA was coming to eat bake and shark and shake hands...all of a sudden they wanna do this??

I'm patiently waiting on the first interview with the new manager.
C'mon Flex, Tallman or Lasana do your best  ;D

Did he do a national press conference as yet ?

Nah he hasn't.

He’s waiting to finalize terms with the TTFA. Whatever that means

Tallman all I remember is that Dennis Lawrence was at the helm and Trinidad and Tobago soundly beat the USA..the score was 2-1.

Thank You Dennis Lawrence ! You put the USA out the World Cup. Costa Rica and Mexico had already qualified and they want to see the US suffer so they did their due diligence.

Big up Dennis Lawrence..If the TTFA wanted to improve football in Trinidad and Tobago they would have hired him to set up a proper Youth Development program.

And Mr Tallman why you and boys like to keep puttin lipstick on  pig?

Go to the source of the problem ..Colleges league can't develop players..the clubs are no clubs at all and the  leagues have no real value to them..so tell me how any Coach can put forth a National Team which can compete in today's football arena?

I am sorry for Football in the twin island Republic

Coache, I agree with you, and I’m sure I can speak for all/99%  of our fellow forum members, yes, our development program is almost non-existent. HOWEVER, this is not today’s breaking news. It has been this way for as long as I can remember.

Under Hart though, most recently, we were competing. We had a cohesive unit. We had a Concacaf powerhouse on the back peddle, mexico was nervous. All those factors you mentioned...well I say, yes, BUT...our senior men’s team was still able.

Now that being said...let’s say for example, we get a caliber coach of Don Leo...he puts his team together and next thing we in the GC...I wouldn’t call that a fluke. I’d call it...proper coaching, proper use of players, philosophy etc. something Dennis could not/would not have accomplished.

Football / Re: Local coach vs foreign coach.
« on: December 18, 2019, 08:02:17 PM »
Players must have respect for the Coach. Somehow the foreign Coaches have the edge when it comes to Respect. Something about the Culture- Foreign better and NIH- Not invented here. Sad but true.

I feel it have much to do with our tendency to not have or implement structure and "modern" methods into our football remember trinidad football as ah whole is veeery slow and often lack structure i.e. opponent planning in fact we doh do opponent planning for nutten almost, shabbazz was notorious for dat in d womens program.

is we tendency to be back-a-day, adhoc and generally lacking in forward thinking is what gets them no "respect". Waldron had dem ladies conditioned like athletes, locals does jus put women and girls, it have ah huge difference between d two.

I think it’s a discipline thing. Foreign coaches come with different experience. Look at Leo for example. He commanded the respect of the squad. That squad consisted of real football stats, yorkie, latas, shaka, young Jones, stern to name some....

Us Trini’s we talk toooo much, and act toooooo less. Our laid back approach is part of our culture.

I doh know whether that ends Contro's misery or starts a new bout ...  :)

 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well DJW did sabotage everything eh

All jokes aside, he really did sabotage our football. I’d give contro that credit. He’s spot on with that. What else could it have been.

48
Both sell outs are gone now

Hart reinstatement and Jones out of retirement needs to happen

Ranjitsingh and other keeper in Europe to be in squad with Cummings and Jones etc

It’s coming together

But will Hart take it again? If it were me, I would think long and hard about that. I hope he more forgiving than I am.

Indeed. He'll have to ponder this. One thing that might persuade him is his relationship with Wallace. Wallace was team manager when Hart was coach. Both get along well with each other.. the simple fact that Hart decided not to pursue further damages from the TTFA tells you that he wasnt too hard done by the TTFA, despite working under the previous dictatorship.
steven hart is getting paid on time now and in foreign currency, he’s home with his family and dealing with stable folks who are serious about making progress, why on earth would he swap that to come back here and scrunt with his family in a dangerous country and on a short term contract, that definitely does not compute from where I stand, it’s totally irrational.

Halifax could qualify for a World Cup?

What career achievement is greater than taking your home country to the big dance?

Especially as a coach

I can confirm that SH will not be the coach. A coach has already been selected as well. They’re pretty tight lipped tho. Friday he will be unveiled.

49
Hart came with great intentions guys. He showed us a style and passion we didn’t see since 05/06, and he get brush. He has his family to consider. As much as we may want home back...seems unrealistic. He getting paid on time, he’s building something in Halifax, he’s in a proper situation....

We lost him. Very unfortunate.

Welcomed news.

52
Hart is the best option now. Given then state of TTFA, his familiarity of the players the culture and the processes, he's probably the best option. The learning curve will be too high for any other coach.

Since Hart's departure, Wallace and him have kept in communication. A reliable source has told me that the two of them have communicated more frequently since Wallace won the election.

I expect an announcement soon about DLs future. I dont see him in the coaching position after January.

Best news so far brother.... :beermug:

The TTFA is putting together their board of directors. The aim is to complete this in December. Once that is done, firing and hiring can take place. So January sounds right for an announcement.

53
I understand your reasoning, but I can't see what good it will do us. We have $50mil in debt, adding to it is the exact wrong thing to do. The problem for the NT went much deeper than Lawrence - perhaps if we actually paid staff and players to work with him then results would improve?

The man got paid for a job, moved from a solid, comfortable and well-paid job in Belgium to join this shitstorm. I can't fault him for wanting to make the best of the situation given he's already flown half-way across the world. Joevin and Molino are quality players, but I doubt the main issue is with Lawrence - it's probably more to do with cut match fees, lack of protection when playing, and lack of insurance for players. It's noticeable that these are both players in their prime, with well paid jobs in a decent league and professional contracts. They have a lot to lose from poor management.

If they still stay away after the new TTFA head sorts out what's happening with the NT, I will be more concerned.

He could have refused the job, knowing fully well the dictator fired Hart on improper grounds... he made a self serving move, it wasn’t to progress football, he played along with the sabotage and even benched our best players and didn’t select others.

He wasn’t any significant member on Belgium, national team coach was a step up and an honour, you may think coaching Trinidad is a shit job, but not to the real fans of this board... He came in to sabotage and tow the line, I don’t care how much we owe him, he didn’t want to sign clauses for lack of performance bc he’s a saboteur like the dictator... he’s not qualified for this job tbh

Jones didn’t have any issues starting under Hart, in fact he was one of the players who was sad Hart was gone in a video interview...

Fire Lawrence, and deal with the money matters after, he can happily go back to his dream job in Belgium and can stop sabotaging our team..

Guys it’s not just Molino and Jones, other players fed up too, some saying that they just can’t play under Lawrence because they do not believe in his philosophy or lack there of. They have no faith in him.

The new administration is aware of this. And I’m not talking about no USL or I league players. European based players, that have been around.

Today DL supposed to submit his technical report. I hope it’s rejected. I know SH and Derek would come back of the terms are right. Unfinished business. The players believed in SH and co. Without belief what’s the point.
please don’t take this the wrong way, but with all due respect I would like to know how credible is your info, because believe me when i say I would definitely 100% believe it because I’ve been saying for months now that those guys don’t look happy playing for lawrence. the team has a lackluster approach to the game and even during the gold cup the body language of the players were like they didn’t even feel like playing and were there just going through the motions.

Pullstones, everyone that I mentioned in my statement, I  spoke to. So credible...straight from the players and tentative coach.

Players over DJW and his bullshit as well. Joevin, Nash, Cato, Hyland to name a few. By 4pm Sunday the results should be available. I hope and pray DJW is unseated. Some players are so concerned, they think the election is just a hoax, because DJW have some important votes in his pockets.

As fans...this might be our biggest win or loss since 05/06
