Hi everyone,

I am a journalist from Germany and am currently writing on an article concerning our foreign guests during the soccer World Cup. Since I am a big fan of the Soca Warriors (I saw their test match in Hamburg against St. Pauli and the WC-match against England) I hope that some of you can help me with my inquiry.

Could you please post your answers to the following questions:

1. How long did you stay in Germany?
2. Did you have WC-tickets or did you buy them in Germany?
3. In which hotels were you accomodated and were you satisfied with your hotel?
4. Did you arrange your stay by yourself or did you use a travel agency?
5. What is your opinion about Germany, the Germans and would you like to return to Germany for holidays?

2. I got tickets via the TTFF

3. Stayed with friends in Berlin and Frankfurt.

4. Made my own arrangements.

5. Germany is a beautiful country.....was able to take in some of the scenery while driving from Berlin to Frankfurt.  The German people were fantastic!!!...and friendly.....and welcoming....and fun loving.....I would like to return to see if it was just the WC that made the people behave that way or is it for real....the people really did a good job as hosts....I totally enjoyed myself.....

Truetrini,Maxg i want to commend you guys for some very good interesting insights/views on the state of our Football,i still think the problem is to try and come up with a plan that suits T&T,Football in T&T will never be the same if all our best Senior and Junior players are sent abroad,i know what ppl going to say about that but what plan can we put in place if we don't have players available when we need them.

what I have been saying for the past 7 years, we need a sports academy for football, centred around football and education..

Yep.....ah more convinced now after Haiti was one of the most feared teams (if not the most) at de U16 tournament just concluded.....dey supposed to be de poorest nation in de Western Hemishphere but dey have a football academy I'm told and hence dey players are able to function like a well oiled machine on de field....

However....fate has blessed you with a uncle who is often willing to undertake the costs for her education that you cannot....paying for her to go lessons....her books....travelling money....making sure she eh hungry. Well I found out about this site/board while checking out the warriors website (de TTFF one) back April or May....since then I have logged on to keep updated on the goings on with my team....and plan to continue doing so....I really like the discussions that go back and forth....and I have gotten some real good laughs from some posters like Dutty et al...

So if ah is a Waggonist well....OK....

Another thing I observe bout dis site....it have real men out there with plenty time on dey hands.....

We need to develop our local football at the youth level. SSFL cannot be the pinnacle of youth football in trinidad. The PFL needs to force its teams to maintain a youth system, making is mandatory that lets say 30% of all senior players on their roster comes from their farm system. This way we are enforcing the teams to help develop the youths. Also use this structure to develop a youth league. The youth need to play year round football, and school football does not give that. In addidtion, our senior players peak too late, guys getting their first taste of international action, be it for country or club, in their mid to late 20's, where players from other countries are getting their first taste as senior level at early 20's. Basically, NO youth system, NO development of Senior football.

Dat have to be we problem right there.....ah remember a few weeks ago when we was to come up against Haiti U 16's ah and ah hear how Haiti have ah team to be feared, ah wondered what it is Haiti do dat we eh doing....den ah find out dey have ah Football Academy or some thing like that....

Den ah remember dat during the World Cup it was said dat the players from Ghana have been playing together for a long time....dey grow and develop together....

Ah eh hearing no firm plans to work with the local players to help them lift their game....

Mih eh know nah, but ah have ah feeling dat we ah goh right back to square one.....ah hope mih feelings wrong....

I have been wondering about getting a compliation of the man's best moments.....and I know the idea has been bandied about on this forum, so I hope it really comes to fruition....ah want de first copy  .......all I can say is my memories of him are mostly from the Strike Squad days and whenever he played for the National team after that.....

I have no memories of him from his overseas exploits.....(as opposed to seeing Dwight all the time.....Man U vs. Bayern Munich 1999 Champions League final.....what a classic!!!....but I digress.... )

I can also say dat I honestly cyar say I ever see de man play a bad ball....it amazing every touch was pure magic......So while I is ah Tobagonian and ah goh have a slight bias fuh Dwight...

De truth is de man is de greatest I ever see in a TnT juzzy     ....and speaking of juzzy....

Dey plan to retire dat # 10??.....ah find dey should......

Thank you Port vale Chris  im fed up of some of the trinis saying  that Port Vale werent good enough for him but at the end of the day  we groomed him into the player he is  and thats the player that beenhakker  saw and picked for his country.

But mih cousin Ryan Thomas went St. Anthony's (nickname "Kimo")...he would have been there from (this is an estimate based on the fact dat he about 2-3 years older than me)......1983 - 1988  (not sure if he went VI form)....

So whenever Signal Hill eh playing (and ah readily admit dey eh lighting things up much dese days), mih allegiance does switch to St. Anthony's.....ah hear enough stories bout de school to last mih ah lifetime....and when dey beat Signall Hill bout 3 years ago in a  Intercol Semi-final ah didn't hear de end of it!!!...

Stern is 29, he will be 33
Scot is 25, so he will be 29


...Right now the competition for spots up front nice: kenwyne, sealy, glen and doh forget collin samuel prefers to play up top. I feel Stern may still be in the picture too...33 not that old. PLus he will be 31 when qualifiers start..so he will definitely be there for that. I more worried about the defense and where the creative spark in midfield coming from
