I would prefer to see him with Everton, Liverpool or maybe Arsenal. I know he will get some playing time there. I only say Arsenal, because I like what the manager does with young talent. He may not get the playing time there. Though I am still not convinced about Adebayor.

Football / Keane could give Latas a one year deal after this game

By Nick Alexander

Roy Keane reckons tonight's game against Falkirk, a testimonial for Andy Lawrie, will have a competitive edge.

Keane agreed to take part in the game when asked two months ago because he believed it would act as a good work-out for his players ahead of the international break.

And the Sunderland boss is treating it seriously, with 12 of his travelling 16-man squad being senior players.

He said: "We get asked a lot if we can get involved in this type of game. We looked at this one, saw it was a couple of days before the free weekend and thought it was a decent game.

"We'll go up there with a strong squad and pay our respects to the player, we're looking forward to it.

"The lad [Andy Lawrie] deserves a testimonial. He was at the club for 11 years and loyalty seems to be going out of the game these days. I've been to Falkirk before, it's a good club, I went to watch a game just before we got Stokesy [who spent a time on-loan at Falkirk].

"Hopefully the lad will get a good turnout and maybe a few Sunderland fans will travel up because the likes of Deano [Dean Whitehead] and Coley are playing.

"We'll prepare as well as we can. I do like these games to be competitive and hopefully the Falkirk lads will be the same. I certainly won't be getting my boots out - I don't know where they are!"

Visit safc.com tonight for a full report on the game.

And don't forget, we will bring you reaction and footage from the Falkirk Stadium on SAFC TV tomorrow.

One thing I noticed about him, is that his left foot is just a walking foot. The guy makes no attempt to use his left foot. I think defenders should have an easy time with him. Just send him left and you'll see how stupid he will look.

Just some more info. Kyle Cubid of New York Tech from (Chaguanas, Trinidad)

Wingate, N.C.----The number 25 Wingate University Bulldog men’s soccer team fell to the Bears of New York Tech 2-0 Sunday afternoon at the WU Soccer Complex. With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 11-2 overall. The Bears improve to 9-2 overall.

New York Tech struck first in the 18th minute when senior midfielder Kyle Cubid (Chaguanas, Trinidad) took a cross from Frank Spanos (West Islip, N.Y.) for a 1-0 lead. Bear freshman defender Oscar Gonzalez (Madrid, Spain) also assisted on the goal.

The Bears added to their lead in the second half, when sophomore midfielder Richard Ingram (Merthyr, Wales) took a cross from Andre Lee (Montego Bay, Jamaica) and was left with an open net for the goal and the 2-0 lead.

The two goals would be enough for New York Tech, with sophomore goalkeeper Cosimo D’Agostino (Brampton, Ontario) going the distance in the nets and collecting one save for the shutout. Bulldog freshman netminder Jeremy Webb (Gastonia, N.C.) played the entire game in the goal for Wingate, notching three saves.

New York Tech and Wingate were even in the shot department, racking up 12 shots each. The Bears had five shots on goal, while the Bulldogs managed only one.

Wingate returns to action Wednesday, October 10, when they host Chowan University at 5 p.m. New York Tech hosts C.W. Post University on Wednesday at 4 p.m. http://sports.wingate.edu/soccermens/newsdetails.asp?ID=3386

Stern's finish was very clinical. I like the way he just tuck it pass the goal keeper. Truth be told, those are the goals that are mostly scored on keepers. People in the Caribbean always trying to buss the net and kick over bar.

D man eh want to embarass himself lef him in the MLS
He probably don't believe he is good enough yet for the big stage. That's crazy. He can break he leg and never recover

56
I wondered what ever happened to these guys. I did not even know their permits were turned down. I guess not enough Caps.

57
That's a good move they. Yorke would need the help in the middle so he can create more chances instead of pelting all them blade. Plus with his age he will get some much needed rest. Good move. I think he safe.

Things not looking too bright for Stern. I honestly don't think they will release him though. He is not that expensive.

Football / Re: Arrest order issued for Tevez's agent
« on: July 13, 2007, 12:11:01 PM »
I think Man U is trying to get around having to buy him from West Ham so they going with the agent to force West Ham into giving him up. In the end is the Prem go have to decide who he belong to.

That don't look possible.
