Simply put, I can respect a man who quits instead of waiting to be fired, also recognizing an untenable situation.

Where do we go from here? Although many have given up on the dream of Russia 2018, I will still hold out hope that the 2015 Gold Cup Team shows up in the next 8 games.

A man can dream.

Finally, we need to change our colonial belief that the foreigner is always superior.

We must understand that the majority of our star players of yesteryear were not because of the foreign coaches but by the extraordinary talent which they nurtured and attracted the world with a ball at their feet.

There is nothing in Coach Saintfiet resume to suggest that he was a "Superior" coach.

Tired of the continued indiscipline in all levels of our sports administrations. Who is to blame the administrators or the players for the present situation in the football, analogous to the chicken and egg situation. In the end and as we try to qualify for the Gold Cup and World Cup, the new coach can only be held responsible for what he has control over. He would be foolish to go into a game with players who show no dedication, desire or want to be on the field.

I will be accepting of the results with this group of players and hold out hope that we can still qualify for the Gold Cup, at a minimum, but I am not underestimating our chances.

Steupes. I guess it is easier to change the coach than the players.

Thanks for your service Coach Hart. The 4-4 draw versus Mexico will be replayed many times.

Deeks - Things cool. I regularly visit the site and read up on the views of the Newbies. The more things change the more they stay the same.

I was hoping for a trip to Russia and got caught up in the quick reaction of the US Federation to firing Klinsman after two losses knowing full well that they will qualify for the World Cup.

Nice as always Touches. I am not as disheartened by the performance yesterday as some forumites. The HEX is about making changes. Let's see what Hart does on Tuesday.

No Player is Bigger than the Team. Once Molino is committed to the team, I say let him face the music from the Coach and TTFA and let us move on.

It is good to see the fight in the new West Indies blood. I will take anything right now in West Indies Test cricket. We are a long way from winning a Test match against a top 5 Test playing nation since to win a Test match the winning team has to claim 20 wickets (unless the opponents do a Sobers declaration) and WI don't have the quality bowlers to do that.

LOL.  :rotfl:  When was that said or even implied? It continues to always amaze me the intellectual capital on this forum, ranging from Harvard graduates to Post Primary dropouts.

The team has settled somewhat and not looking terribly outclassed. But it is still an exercise in backs and forwards for the most part. Hopefully our conditioning and timely substitution serves us well in the second half. Our keeper knows her stuff. Go T&T. Goal difference is important.

Where was this claim for transparency when Anil first came into office?  Where was this claim for transparency in support of the World Cup Players demands for the TTFF to show the books in their court documents?  I guess the PP government also paying men to post on this Forum in support of their actions.

I too old for this!

I for one would hope the monies from the government stay separate and the preparation of the Under 23 team is not affected.  Go after the 2006 money which is now in somebody bank account.  I like the statement made that levy actions could be made against Camps (and I should add Warner as the sole arbiter) for the funds.  When the heads of the US Banks fatten their bank accounts with rediculous bonuses, did they not have to pay (or at worse embarrased by the diclosure of how much they stole) when facing the courts.

Blessings

I believe the arrangement with the gov't is that no funds actually go to TTFF. Approved expenditures would be paid by the gov't directly. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I do wonder though, if this arrangement is already in place, why is it that the staff hasn't been paid for months?

That is what I believe to be as well. And this was done to see that money was spent properly and not put in the hands of incompetents.

Rebuilding the administration is critical and it has to start there, but we have folks in the public and on this forum that continually indicates on one hand that we need to rebuild from fresh but on the next hand keep calling for "past" players.  I continue to hear folks talk about Carlos Edwards as though he is our big player but I think they are still stuck looking at footage of him in Germany 2006.  Carlos is still a good defender, good at winning the ball but he waste almost 90% of the balls going forward in the last third of the field.  And I am being generous in saying only 90%.  K. Jones needs good service or he is a non-factor. If no one is able to create for him then there is no room for him in the starting eleven. His first touch has been and continues to be piss poor.  Getting him the ball in the air is the primary way to make him a factor.  Keon Daniel appears to be so uninterested in being out there more times than not. Stern, whom I love, but he has lost a step for the international game.  Plus we have the usual idiots calling for Latas, Scotland, and anyone of the 2006 veterans.  Please, let us seriously move forward.  We have some talent at the Under 23 level, which we need to start breeding into the team from now.

... we're not a footballing country.  We just like to watch it.

Agreed. In Trinbago even when we hit rock bottom, the administrators have a way of being able to tunnel through rock and put us even lower than before. We can only hold out hope that something is better on the horizon.

I for one fed up rebuilding.  We seem to be stuck in the past.  Ah not grabbing hold of that shovel though Palos, since ah cyah take credit for what has transpired.  I am only a die-hard supporter.

To this I say thanks to Jack and Camps for the not building on what we accomplished in 2006.  I hope this is truly the final chapter of the Jack and Ollie saga and we move on fresh from here. The last epithet in their legacy.

We keep living in the past.  Thanks Jack and Camps for destroying our football in 2006 with the blacklist.  This is embarrasing butit might be worse if we went on to the next round.

Back again in 2018.
