Strange - No one commented on the Technical team . I thought The Federation had financial problems.
Why do we need a manager as well as a National Team Director .Let us not ask about the Physiotherapist as well as a massage therapist. Some folks are on a joy ride.

why are they an issue ???

Perception that there are many cooks cooking de same meal at the same time and maybe little to no bottlewashing or other tasks going on.

Also: surely someone must be at least a tad surprised that Romain keeps his job.

Those are two distinct roles in view anyway, there can be overlap, but again by definition quite distinct and not uncommon in pro sports so yeah ???

I think alyuh misunderstood pullstones he not advocating for total local squad, he appears annoyed by the prospect,  my take is if.......BIG IF, Eve can get something close to what we need at this level out of locals, then I will give him  benefit of doubt.....if it proves be d same ponderous slow shit dat we get accustomed to i will be open to forcing his hand on foreign scouting and inclusions..for now we have lėttle choice but to see what he coming with

D question will be whether he can get d levels needed from  from his approach.....ah have doubts  but ah willing to wait and see

I willing to give Eve ah chance, Fenwick who plenty people on here wanted to give ah chance got his and did f**k all, to quote d english, so given d shit state we find ourselves in, he is d best budget candidate for this interim role local bias notwithstanding

Football / Re: Local coach vs foreign coach.
« on: June 13, 2021, 08:02:34 PM »
Even given d relatively poor level of SSFL, Eve has been a consistent results getter, his football is usually quicker and more physical than most of dem other coaches in SSFL, so at least....AT LEAST.....one can hope anyways ::) :P, d footie might be faster and less disjointed than we have become accustomed to from dem local coach in d fairly recent past....d bigger problem is yuh shouldn't have to be doing remedial work on player technique, while also having to hash out tactics, I saw some of d worst ball control and shit decision making I have seen from us under Fenwick, dat eh all fenick fault, dat existed long before he.

Eve local bias is well known, but if he actually break d mold and get locals to play less slow disjoint football dat goh be a win in my book, at dis stage my expectations real low so yeah......

Locals are NOT good enough.....and the systems needed to help them get there are nonexistent because our administrators, coaches and governance in general isn't and has never been good enough.

The local system is completely devoid of growth or evolution

For those among us who can recall the  60's and 70's our system at one time produced teams that competed and held its own against Brazil Mexico and teams from LatinAmerica. Our squad at that time comprised primarily of locals.

So ask yourself what changed? How did some countries progressed and we regressed?

The global environment of football. The past became the present. Not even the footballs that are used are the same.

We don't use history for its proper purpose.

cheers mate :beermug:

Regardless of deficiencies in the local coaching, we need to strive to improve the local product somehow or the other.
that is what ah gettin at through d power of negative reinforcement :P
