Football / Re: No easy task as T&T aims to put-out Vincentian flame.
« on: March 26, 2016, 04:22:02 AM »
Flex said it correct in his article.

Trinidad and Tobago should have no problem getting past their Caribbean neighbours or, so it will seem. The Soca Warriors are a talented bunch and are coached by a T&T-born specialist, Stephen Hart. However, they must proceed with vigilance as they don't normally stand up well against teams that are similar as far as being physical is concerned, at least not all the time.

As mentioned above, Guyana had taught us that lesson when they eliminated T&T from the 2014 FIFA Word Cup. Jamaica did the same in the 2014 Caribbean Cup finals. Most recently and still fresh on the minds of the players, Haiti sent them packing when they won 1-0 in a play-off match in Panama for an historic place at the 2016 Copa América Centenario.

The game we played against USA and had them to beat (at home) might come back and bite us.

Hart have to understand a simple rule. Win your home games, draw the away ones and if you win away, double bonus, like T&T did against Guatemala.

But the way T&T is playing, Guatemala could hurt us.

Good coaches will see T&T weakness, Hyland and Cyrus mainly.

Cyrus gets caught out to many times and Hyland gives away the ball to often.

Would have loved to see De Silva get a run instead of Neveal Hackshaw.

Hector or Jomal Williams instead of Molino is also a good option.

If Kenwyne play for T&T like he did yesterday, we sure to lose.

Justin Hoyte looked good going forward, but really messed up on SVG second goal.

Our wingbacks left our defence for dead, not sure what system we were playing.

Both USA and Guatemala have bigger goal difference than us, so I hope we take advantage of SVG and by high numbers.

Anyways, I don't want to sound to negative, I hope we get our acts together.

Since DJW came on board it seems we blight.

But we cant blame him, the team just not looking good.

Like I said, Hart worried more about losing than winning.

We playing St Vincent with 3 center backs, 2 wing backs, a dead midfield with no creative players and a player who have not played for T&T in over a year, Molino.

Only Boucaud, Hoyte, David and Joevin looks good.

Hart love for Hyland and Cyrus is becoming a problem.

We need a better keeper to. When Jan is not here, T&T in real trouble.

Good luck in the second half.

Maybe you should send this article to David and Skeene.

They could learn a thing or two.

I've said it in the past and I will say it again, Flex, yourself and Tallman should be directly involved with T&T football at the admin department.

Mr Williams need to make that call.

Good team, good luck to Hart and his crew.

Remember the field there might be an issue.

Lets not be too confident.

Guyana and Haiti though us that.

127
This article really put things in perspective.

You do good, good will follow, you do bad, you pay and Sancho is paying now.

I don't feel sorry for him, SIS have a lot of money.

I remember Sancho as MOS, he was horrible and didn't care about anyone.

128
Hart have to put his feet down and not sit and wait on certain players or for the TTFA to pull through because they wouldn't.

Foreign players are essential, but a local camp will do no harm and could only improve players and team.

Good going Flex.

I like Hart and I hope he learns, but his careful approach was a big decision for us not being there.

When you have an understrength Haitian team to beat, you pile it on them.

Then after a certain period he was hoping for extra time.

Youthman Neveal Hackshaw should not have been on the field in a must win game and you have players like Cato, Winchester and Guerra on the bench. Hackshaw didn't cover his man and he scored after chasing him down from midfield.

Hyland or Boucaud should have made way.

Peltier was another one, yes, he fought hard but added nothing going forward and gave away a few important passes. This was a player who one time used his pace to unsettle teams, now he is a shadow of himself.

Aubrey David should have replaced Mitchell after that head butt he got.

I know you guys will string me for this, but I say it like it is, Hart got this one wrong.

Still love him as our coach, but he needs to stop with his hoping not to lose approach.

130
Man need to go and apply for his passport.....then ask for help. Needs to prove that he is serious first.

From what I heard, its not Nick that has the problem, I think it has something to do with his father paperwork?

Maybe Flex can enlighten us a bit more.

131
S De Silva is better than the attacking midfielders S Heart is playing on the team only K Molino and N Deleon is better but he should not give up hope yet I don't expect S Heart to last  I do expect us to get out of this weak group but in the final 6 he will struggle to win a game playing that crappy football and that would be the end of his stint.

Sean, don't jump ship yet, I say wait one more year.

Two reasons Hart could fail in the Hex (if we make it) because these small teams seems like they more serious than us when it comes to organization and recruiting players.

1. David John Williams not giving him the support.

2. His reliant on certain players who continue to fail at big events.

Can't understand why we fighting up when the coach himself not worried.

It would be a hell of a thing if St Vincent beat us.

If Stephen Hart doesn't have a local/US foundation of players, the TTFA will not spend their money to fly in his foreign based players from Asia and Europe to play any warm up especially if it's against a small team.

I respect what Sam is saying though, we have a full team of decent players based in T&T, North and Central America that may not cost must to play a game or two.

Blind leading blind.

John Williams will always go for Europe because he probably wants his W Connection players to go on trials in Italy.

Spoke to Ricarda and Skeene yesterday, they said DJW is upset with Maylee for speaking to Lasana about the situation and has given her one last chance.

Maylee is a leader and should not back down because people say so, she needs to stand up for the right thing.

Sam, have a valid point, we knew about this tournament a while now.

More to come.

Wow, simply speechless.

In these modern times where social media is everything David trying to muzzle players like if it was back in the 80s.

I remember Jack Warner did this also and got away with it for years, staff were also afraid of him, back then people were scared, can't see this sticking now because people have evolved.

Fight on Maylee.

David wants to do shit and no one can contest him, please, grow up man. Glad Skeene and Ricarda said something on the downlow.

Horner, Jack made some errors, you still drunk from Christmas or what.  At least we know DJW is the president of the TTFA. We can point the finger at him. He is responsible for anything the association does. But you or your father , uncle whatever, used you FIFA privileges to hide under the name of special advisor. Created f----ing havoc and made the TTFA  disfunctional. Used his power to bamboozled camps to be the president and he be the socalled special advisor. Make Camps signed on the dotted line and left him high and dry when the bills came due. Look Horner, f--k away with you and this bullshit. DJW may not turn out to be the president we want. He can be voted out next election. But for you to jump on his case and compare him to Jack is utter nonsense. Why the f--k you don't pay Rijsbergen. You throw Camps under the bus like a dog. You had the money. you spend it on UNC and then coming to say you go help in whichever way. Breds, blow to f--k away with your apologies for Jack.

Deeks, cussing?

Sam rubbing off on you bro?

Without picking sides or blaming anyone in particular, but what are the producers for organising games?

I would think.

1. Accumulate the money first (sign, sealed and delivered) which includes match fees, accommodation and airfare (etc). Of course, you have a projection cost because you may not know who is available to play us. So  the figure could vary, but you have a figure to work with. (If you don't get the money then you work on plan B).

2. Find an opponent and date.

3. Call players for training. Get documents (visas, etc) if applicable- which most players especially the foreign based already have. You get them early so you have no discrepancies or surprises popping up later.

4. Announced the game to the public. GAME ON !!!

Simply as that, now, if you don't get the money or have it, you have a plan B in place and may have to scrap plan A but at least you would save yourself and the Association further embarrassment. I am really surprised by the latest event because I was expecting things to run a little more professional?

When news comes out on public domains like we are seeing now it only paints a bad image on the TTFA and it turns off possible sponsors and countries from wanting to play us.

Imagine, the USSF had to rescue our Women's team and save face for T&T. We sent a team to play the US and players haven't been paid for a few games? Now I understand the TTFA were new on the scene, so it would be hard to just place 100% blame on them as this game were so close to election and the transition should have been smoother. But still, you have to cover yourself to some extent.

Do you know how damaging these stuff can be.

I understand the FA have a mad house to clean up but why do things to worsen your reputation?

The TTFA announced a huge staff and Technical Committee members for the T&T Senior Women’s Team including; Dexter Skeene, Dr. Alvin Henderson, Bertille St. Clair, Errol Lovell, Jinelle James, Stuart Charles-Fevrier, Muhammad Isa, Richard Hood and managers Sharon O'Brien (?) and Ricarda Nelson, you mean all of this staff and still we are in this position?

Look at the way the Pro League is run, no one knows when and where is games and if there is a change in schedule or venue well in advance? What does that tell you? These same people is now working for the TTFA. Imagine I want to attend a game next week in T&T, how will I know where games are being played or who's playing? What kind of planning is that and there are no other outside tournaments in the past 2 months. In-fact, outside tournament (CFU) is already planned, so league games can be fixed better because we know in advance.

Again, not blaming anyone in particular because I don't know the full story, just thinking out loud who is responsible and what are the producers and function for everyone involved? Let's see if the TTFA will find it worthy in letting the public know?

As I mentioned to someone in the TTFA once, they have to keep things out in the open because when news comes out first (especially bad news) in other media it only makes things worse than it probably is, but you know everyone don't take advice and in T&T everybody know's everything. Protect your image.

Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Flex, that makes to much sense, the TTFA does not and have never operated in this manner.

David is a big disappointment because I was thinking no one could be worst than Tim Kee were but the direction David is heading he could surpass him.

Maybe the following staffs are working for free? because I can't believe he would hire 95% of the people who worked under one of the biggest crook in T&T, Jack Warner.

Imagine, you can't hear from the TTFA by now and this is old news, that's how much respect they have for the fans.

Sam - So yuh say yuh opening de TTFA books in January, then yuh say February, yuh feel we go see it soon?
David - De only book I opening is Pethouse, I eh have time to clean up nobody mess and de public dont need to know our business, I am very private and professional, they to dam fast. I dont have to answer to anyone,,, my daughter running my club and I running T&T football, my chairman (Skeene) running de entire league, de TTFA running de Super League,,,,, my vice president (Ewing and Khan) running de SSFL and my next chairman (Bertille) running Tobago,,,, James running WOLF,,,,,,Richard Hood for Police,,,,, I give DeLeon a big award, so he in my pocket now and Point in onboard,,,, Jamal with Caledonia,,,, I play to hire Ross Russell, so NE Stars will be with me to, ah plan to control every football in T&T, to get me out nex election will be impossible, because I owing all of them,,,,,,, watch de John Williams in action, ah have to work on Harrison and Sancho next,,,,

This is a eye opener, never thought of it this way.

Hmm alyah have talent oui ,I doh know if to laugh or cry , lol, . :'(

You said it best.

I nearly piss down myself reading this early morning while getting ready for work.

What is amazing is, this is not a joke, this is so realistic.

What Tim Kee need to do is report this to FIFA and let them blacklist the TTFA for the racket.

Did you see if the FIFA rep who came here for election was talking like he knows.

DJW is a Hugh disappointment, I was really expecting more.

He doesn't seem to care about the current, he is only concern about what he will do for himself and his club down the road.

Whats make's it bad, he don't seem to care about the public views.

I am sorry for Stephen Hart, ts sad that he will probably be set up to fail, this way they could fire him without getting the bad name.

Seriously, we are going to see another Jack Warner in the making.

DJW is a chairman of the supposed Caribbean League both him and the other waste Shaka Hislop and it have been years since the proposal and nothing has materialized.

We really deserve what we get.

Even the players hate this guy, farless for the fans.

John-Williams have a valid point about Waldrum.

I am glad he came out and say it.

It's always nice to get updates from the FA frequently, not like under Tim Kee's era.

They obviously don't have the money to hire him full time and bring him down and it's impossible to have a coach coach from Houston.

Jamaal Shabaaz coached Guyana from a laptop once because he couldn't enter the US.

Its always better to have your coach present.

Football / Re: I respect Stephen Hart but.......

S Hart is playing a outdated English brand of football that they play in Canada that did not work and is not going to work in T&T because Trinidad is were Latin America meets the Caribbean we need a #10 player to pull the strings the players he is picking cannot play that role Cummings could score goals but he lacks creativity T&T should hire a coach that would bring players like S De Silva and M W ling into squad.

Sean De Silva maybe, still can't see him start, but we need a real number 10, Woo Ling has fall of a great deal.

I feel Nick DeLeon would help us a lot because he works really hard the entire game.

We need a few foreign players because the local guys are not serious.

They have the talent but not the mentality.

Look at Cummings, he has a discipline problem.

I plead to David John Williams to really step in and give Hart the tools to do a proper job.

Definitely agree with some of what is being said here about the players not playing with heart and dedication.

I saw a few of them already on facebook acting like this didn't really affect them.

Football / Re: I respect Stephen Hart but.......

Hart have a right to be frustrated because we went into one of the most important games since Bahrain without a friendly, not to mention the TTFA don't pay on time, but Hart is still here and he should do his best for the country once on the field, same with the players.

Haiti were in the same position like us, they were missing many regulars too.

The difference between the teams were the confidence Haiti played with and how the players took to the new coach. Did you see the guy on the sidelines, whole game he was there talking to them even when Haiti players looked frustrated in the first half.

If you have a coach who sounds like he is not sure or always frustrated it does not instill confidence in the players.

I don't know if something is wrong behind the scenes, but no one on T&T team and staff looks happy.

Our approach were to dull. We were the big fish but played like the little one. Haiti respected us more than we did to them and after they realise T&T was off them built and won.

I swear I was watching Defence Force play, our midfield was none existent and the play was slow, the ball was going from defence to up front and no one there, then you leave some of the better players on the bench and brought on a kid who never played for T&T before in such a match who failed to get the ball after chasing down the player and Haiti scored. Only high balls, while Haiti built confidence and had the ball rolling.

Hart is a decent guy and I hope he stays, his players did not play well, it happens to everyone, I was just hoping it didn't happened in such an important match.

Let's see if the TTFA will get him some games to sort out his team, Hart needs it, he has had a rough time under Tim Kee going into tournaments without games, time to change that and time to improve your team Hart and scout a few more players out there that can improve your team, the TTFA must make sure they give him that luxury.

We have St Vincent in 2 months, lets see if the TTFA will step it up.

All the talk from David John Williams while he was campaigning and all of a sudden you can't hear from him or see any of his promise materialised. A politician at its best.

All is not lose guys, good luck T&T, let's learn and move on.

Football / Re: I respect Stephen Hart but.......

That's the worst I ever see T&T play.

Hart sub a striker for a striker and a defensive midfielder for a defensive midfielder in a must win game.

The long balls killed us, Haiti looked like they wanted it more, T&T players Hyland and Boucaud did not lead the way for senior players.

I don't blame Hart too much. But the Chelsea approach just does not work in today's football, he did the same vs USA.

When a team is hot you have to build on that, not cool them down.

Who plays with one striker in a must win game especially in the second half?

433 or 442.

Why play concertive and then hope to hit on the counter against HAITI !!!!!

Haiti !!!!!

We tried 3 times to qualify for the Copa America and failed.

Maybe is just not our time.

Better luck next time T&T.

Good luck to Hart and his team, I know Hart is a good guy, I just hope he approach games differently depending on the importance.

Lesson learnt.

Keron Cummings (AM) - A player who came along and won the hearts of many since he made his debut under former T&T coach and legend Russell Latapy. As former T&T coach Otto Pfister would say: “He has a million dollars in his legs.” Cummings has been on fire for his club and country, only 6-months ago he was literally unknown, today, T&T's newest secret weapon is famous, especially after helping conquered Mexico, twice. They know him very well. For the new 2015-16 Pro League season thus far, he has scored 7 for his club in all competitions and 3 for his country, all coming against Mexico.

Does Arin King or Mollon even have a club?

Half of our players don't even play for clubs.

Look at Maylee, after her first game in Brazil she got injured, how can the TTFA send a player who haven't play football in over 6 months and just put them on the field?

I feel Mariah Shade deserve this award.

Arin King deserved her's last year because she did great for her country.

I guess the poll speaks, just don't understand why King won the most votes.
