Football / Re: It's becoming arduous to make the T&T team.
« on: December 21, 2015, 01:38:47 PM »

Mekeil Williams (LB) - The hard working defender was simply colossal in defence for the Warriors. The natural center-back was thrown into left-back and perfected it successfully. He has also improved on his clearances and passing as well. His high energy level, overlapping runs and ruggedness allows Joevin to get forward more often. New York Red Bulls are said to be monitoring Williams and could make a move in for the giant defender come January? Williams, who were immense throughout the season for his club team Antigua GFC also helped them captured its first ever Guatemalan Apertura Championship title and as a result, qualification into next year’s CONCACAF Champions League.

Aubrey David (DEF) - If I had a rhyme to describe him, it would go, “quiet like a mouse and sturdy as a house, Aubrey, Aubrey, Aubrey.” A very sturdy and composed defender that can ruffle even the biggest of attackers. Former Costa Rican striker Paulo Wanchope are a big fan of him. Deportivo Saprissa is said to be eyeing the hard man.

Flex, I see you know some insights.

It was so nice, I red it TWICE and I am not joking.

Definitely worth the read and at least good news for a change.

Ryan Inniss should be persue.

By DJW may look to bring in more W Connection players and may not look for any foreign base?

I hope I'm wrong.

Football / Re: Sheldon Phillips fired!
« on: December 13, 2015, 05:10:35 PM »
It's not Williams' call.  The old ExCo already spoke and said the termination was illegal, as has FIFA.  I think Williams doesn't want Phillips back in the position or else he would have reinstated him already.  I think they're stalling to find a some way to put their own GS in place... but if they do so they'll have to pay Phillips for the years remaining on his contract.

You can't blame DJW for wanting to bring in his own team.

However, I think Sheldon would do much better than Azaad Khan even though Khan would cost cheaper to hire because he already lives in T&T, with Sheldon you have to pay a hefty rent, his pay, a vehicle and other expenses that he is not worth.

I am not fund of Sheldon especially his last year, his trust in Tim Kee back fired.

But I heard worst about Azaad Khan??

I think John Sabga and Colin Murray would be good choices.

Not to confident in Sheldon Phillips and incumbent SSFL Azard Khan, if you look at the SSFL how it deteriorate over the years on and off the field and the rules how it affect teams especially the weaker ones, the format is also very confusing and unorganised.

Williams should bring in a new team which should include a new press team as well. Flex is a good candidate for that and Lasana too.

He should not hire any former TTFA/TTFF employees, especially the ones who worked under Jack Warner.

Khan and Davis will be very difficult to work with. I know both of them, maybe Williams has a good relationship with both, but he is in a different role now and should be careful not to get to much ignorant people.

Already a bad sign.

A lot of strong heads who listen to no one is really the markings of more seperation between staff and players.

I hope Williams really think this true.

Bateau, George and Boucaud was consistently good but Kenwyne was really class even when he messed up, like against Mexico, he made up for it.

Hyland, Joevin and Cato was great to, just need to be a little more consistent.

Kenwyne and Mollon gets my vote.

Mollon has a good attitude also. Arin King dont seem to friendly and to be player of the year, you have to be overall. But she is great on the field, really helped us.

Hutchinson is another positive player all round.

King needs to be friendly?

Media and vocal, as a captain.

Don't mean no disrespect.

Look at the way he spelt CONCAF...

I thought it was CONCACAF.

 :rotfl:

Why would he still be involved with Jack though? Come on Bakes, what can Jack still offer him and why would Jack still want to be involved with T&T football?

Football / Re: Bateau, Abu Bakr get high marks for Gold Cup play.
« on: November 23, 2015, 06:37:27 AM »
Excellent analysis.

Hart has bring this team from nothing to something very special.

Now he have to take them to the next level.

He coaches a little like Jose Mourinho, too careful at times and holding back players from playing their game. The team is doing very well individually.

When you have teams to beat you have to beat them, instead of hoping not to lose, because these types of things tend to come back and haunt you. USA will not feel the same when we visit them, they do not like to lose especially against a so call small team.

Look at the game vs Mexico, we did not need to play our starters for that game in the Gold Cup and we paid the price, cause against Panama, we look drained. Yes, it was the best ever gold cup game, but it came at a price.

We allow teams to come to our country and play with confidence over us.

I hope I am not negative here and I hope Mr Hart don't take offence.

But I love the team and the coach.

But we have to watch out, because complacency is a mother.

158
Some impressive ideas by DJW.

I think it will be a close race between him and RR, but DJW may have the edge because we are yet to hear RR full review and financial backing for T&T football.

Would love to hear DJW take on SWO and what he can do to improve fan base. SWO have been a staple in T&T football for over a decade and still going strong, it has the most visitors and biggest supporters and everything about T&T football starts here, the current TTFA failed to capitalize on.

Nigel and Flex would be a great addition to T&T football, but doubt they will get a chance because they may outshine the others.

When you have somebody to hang, you hang them. We let them off the hook too many times but, all in all, it was a good result for us. And I think this performance augurs well for the future.” Trinidad and Tobago were noticeably slower, in terms of their intensity, in the second half.

And Cummings hopes that the technical staff utilise that time frame to look at newer players.

“There are always better players if you look around,” he said.

“Sometimes you may think you have the best team and there might have players out there who you may have to look at. As a coach, you never stop looking and scouting for talent.” The Hall of Famer also spoke of the need for more clinical finishing by the attacking players.

Some VERY good points by Gally here.

You have someone to beat, you beat them especially in games you need to win and home games.

The 4-5-1 formation and consistently keeping 1 or 2 decent strikers on the bench is also a concern.

Hart is getting comfortable with his team and sometimes that's not good.

Its always good to continue to seek new players and I am not saying the ones we have are no good, so guys, don't jump on me.

But using the same players all the time is not good.

Still want to say thank you though, Hart has done a excellent job so far.

The team have lots of potential that we are yet to see.

Good job Mr Hart.

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs Guatemala Game (13-Nov-2015)
« on: November 12, 2015, 04:47:58 PM »
Sam's trip 7 years ago ;D It's interesting to see their top 3 players were the same back then and how much our team has changed.

October 14, 2008

Just came back from Guatemala.

Had a fight with a bunch of Guatemalans, that was de most hostile crowd I have ever witness in a football game LIVE.

We had to be moved to the VIP section for our safety and de fence that was blocking us almost came down because them men jumping like monkeys on it trying to break it down, they was spitting on us and call us niggers and all sort of racial names. De police had to stay with us right through.

We have to start treating them the same way they treat us when they visit T&T.

After de game I had to beat up two men who hit one of my pardna, but we had to run because ah whole posse came down after we..... they was vex.

Went to a bar after the game and met some very pretty women who was very friendly, they said according to de TV news Guatemala was expecting to beat us 5-0 and now they sour.

Guatemala put on a nice half time show, never knew they had so much nice women there. I was amaze, fat tuntun, camel toe all kinda thing, you name it. Meh totoe start to hurt meh for standing 24 hours straight. I had to take them two thing in de bar ah meet and blaze them like ah just come outta jail. Price was cheap too. Them was real friendly, young, young girls like 10 or 11 begging for us to come in they house with them when we walking down de streets, I run fast.... we, no jail bait thing on my menu. Ah bend ah thing backwards and make she tuntun fart... is pressure in they ass....

Anyhow, to de game, I am impress with de fight, but that Ramirez fella is ah boss and T&T keep backing off him, he was Hot ras, never know Guatemala had ballers like that. De man take about 10 shots on T&T goal in a 10 mins period from de top of de box and T&T allowing this man space. Papa and Romero was good to, Guatemala real had we busy in de second half boy, we real lucky, Ince, Lawrence and Birchall real save we.

De thing I dont understand is why we allow teams to dog us for such long periods.

Fellas, Keon Daniel hit ah man a beat I almost dead ras, that young boy have a future, trust me. De man change de game when he came on and no Guatemala players was handling him unless they foul him. Anthony Wolfe to, if he keep up the way he playing he could go somewhere, nice hustle. I was worried when I saw Keon warming up because I know he weak in defence, but nah, boy, he impress me.

Chris Birchall is a must, de man is ah iron horse and my man of de match, he have ah sweet bullet that went over bar... he real fight de game boy, from start to finish.

Latapy look good to, hit ah man a beat, ah say yes, de ole still have some juice and could have played more if we wasn't down to 10 men. I chat with Latas for about 5 mins and he seems like he unsure from de TTFF about de coaching assistant. He want it real bad, but like they taking him for a ride, he didn't say it directly, but you can see it in de man face, something not right. We need players like him around de team, he have he head on. And he can still play good ball even at this level. I taught Latapy and Yorke would have been a mistake to start together, but it was not so, they look good but I guess Birchall allowed them to operate freely because he was picking up the slack.

Edwards real let men down with that miss, but thank gush he didn't score or else we woulda be dead all now, we woulda have to run for we lives in de stand. And yuh know me, me eh running, so they woulda even eventually get me.

Ince real play ball to.

Lawrence is we best defender.

Gray deserve de first yellow. De second one he should not have gotten. But I find he standard drop a little though.

Avery hit ah man a blade in de penalty area, I was scared, but no call. Because of Wolfe Avery looked more calm.

Scotland have a nice first touch, but he pace real slow, he should take more shots on goal he would score because he strong.

Thank gosh Makan Hislop didn't play, he them GUA striker woulda eat him up because he slow and inexperience.

USA is a more technical team, so we have to beware, even with a small side they still good.... and they look to work on the wing. So Wolfe and Edwards may start and Daniel play central, something so, but all three players are good to go. Especially Daniel and Wolfe and if Edwards get more support he will do even better.

Good pull back soccerman.

Guys, post any online links to these games if you have any.

I checked my TV guide and not seeing the T&T vs USA fame either, they have the USA vs St Vincent game listed.
As of now I know the U.S. Vs TT game will be live on Bein Sports, the Guatemala game we'll have to find an online stream.

Thanks, why is T&T games always so hard to get and we are playing the US, ESPN stream all their games.

Is the TTFA the problem, copyrights?

« on: November 11, 2015, 06:16:04 PM »
Things really bad when you see Sheldon running news on a Jack Warner owned newspapers that no one takes seriously, its like the punch or bomb newspapers. I guess he needed an outlet that will not do much research and just publish anything.

If the allegations are right, Tim Kee really mess up a good thing he could have had.

And all the time Sheldon was down with Tim Kee secret deals (Mullien, Akeem, 500 for the entire women team, where did the 10,000 US Randy raised for them went, etc, etc) but now he got fired and decide to spill the beans.

I am glad he spilling beans, but it would be nice coming from a more trust worthy source, like SWO or the Guardian?

This article brought chiils in my blood.

Perfect preview and well writen Flex.

Well balance and well put together, You should be the TTFA official writer.

Anyone have videos of Guatemala and USA last 3 games?

I see the Guatemala coach have well scouted us, wonder what US coaches is saying?

I red on the US forum that they are counting 3 easy points againt us.

So the government, Concacaf or FIFA, whom ever, gave them money to build a training center and Tim Kee took the money and paid his son a proton and Sheldon was playing all along, all the time but now they fell out and we hearing all kind of news.

They are all wrong.

Jack Warner had his sons involved as well when he was with the TTFF.

I see Tim Kee learnt very well.

I really thought Tim Kee was a changed man or trying to be.

Would have loved to see these guys play.

What sparked Ramesh's decision to run? He came out of nowhere. Also what's Fenwick's role in his campaign?
So I'm officially the campaign manager for Ramesh Ramdhan. I've accepted his offer to work with him to get elected as President and ultimately reform TTFA and save our football. I've begun working with him to finalise his vision and his plans and we'll be officially launching the campaign on November 4th. We expect most of the delegates and stakeholders to be there, including supporters' representation. So  please let me know which two Reps from the forum invitations should be sent to.
So you can accuse me of being biased in this thread from here on. But I will continue to look at this objectively for the good of T&T football.
I'll be sharing some plans etc. straight from the horses mouth, so to speak.
Please, I welcome all objective and honest suggestions, feedback and criticisms.
I'll also organise an interview with the gloves off for the forum.
Let me know the two reps please.

Sounds great, It will be nice to get new blood, however, if your motive is to eventually fire Stephen Hart then you wont get much support from that.

He is the best thing to happen to T&T football, Randy Waldrum also.

Does RR have the finances to run the TTFA?

What is Terry's main goal and whats in this for him?

Maybe you should contact Flex to do a piece for you.

This article is highly entertaining, enjoyable and mesmerizing.

Wonder read, excellent job Flex.

You are indeed a top writer and one of T&T's best sport journalist of current.

This article really vibes me up, can't wait for the games in 2 week time.

Left-footers are very unique players.

Was Gally a lefty also?

Topics to talk about

Darren Millien, $500 for the entire lady team in Houston while Phillips taking home roughly TT$24,000 a month salary with TT$21,000 housing plus a company vehicle, no one else was getting paid, Brian Lewis TTOC slam during the PanAm games, raising the price for the T&T vs Argentina game using Element Agency + Events agency owned by Phillips, , Akeem Adams t-shirt deal  where the TTFA stole most of the money, the Under-15 boys team who was set up, the email glitch, Nissi Tours, Training Centre and Atiba Charles.

“When certain things happened, I phoned (Phillips) and I had to invite him to resign. (He) had some time to think about it.

“When he did not respond,” Tim Kee continued. “I called him and he said he decided not to resign because that will mean an admission of guilt.

Wonder what he did so bad?

Ent a general secretary position is based as strictly operational? So Tim Kee bull shitting the man.

He bigging him up in the strictly operations department and with another action firing him.

Sheldon should contact Flex and  give him the real story to clear his name, Flex is the only man who could do a proper job.

By the way, this was hilarious "I INVITE HIM TO RESIGN... invite".... !!!!

 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I guess everyone just walks over the Phillips family.

Happy Halloween.

Ramesh Ramdhan gets my vote.

Tim Kee and John Williams are to self centered and stubborn to lead the FA.

I pray to God that David John Williams do not win.

At first I was very happy to hear about him wanting to run but now I have a change of heart which I cannot reveal why.

All I can say is, he does not like Hart and pretends he do, he have his motive, a deep one.

As for Sheldon, he is reliable but very soft, for years he have defended Tim Kee now he turned around and stab him right in the back.

Sheldon, was warned a while ago about the T&T press including the official press officer.

The table keeps turning.

Karma can be harsh sometimes even bad against bad there is no excuse.

Sancho turn to laugh at Sheldon now.

November 29, 2015 is the date.

Some of the nominees

Raymond Tim Kee
Ramesh Ramdhan
Clint Taylor
David John-Williams
Colin Murray (pulls out)

There are 49 voting members

Pro League (ten votes)

Super League (eight votes)

Central, Eastern, Eastern Counties, Northern, Southern and Tobago zonal bodies (three votes each)

Women’s, Referees and Futsal associations (two votes each)

Primary School, Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL), Beach Soccer, Veteran Players, Coaches, Players and Trinidad and Tobago American Soccer Youth (TTAYSO) associations (one vote each)

At present, there are no active players or coaches association.

Vice-presidents, Rudi Thomas, Lennox Watson and Krishendath Kuarsingh does not support Tim Kee but I dont think they can vote, they want the post.

Sheldon Phillips could be on his way out? Tim Kee feels he does not make a significant impact and may replace him with Colin Murray or Dinanath Ramnarine.

178
I myself do not like both Earl Jean and Stuart Charles.

Why?

As far as coaching goes, especially a national team.

179
Well ...with John Williams in charge..it goes like this..to get on the National team yuh have to be from W Connection..if yuh from W Connection yuh will  get the required amount of senior caps to make yuh illegible for pro contract in europe.

The National programs would become intertwined with W Connection....TTFA would become TTW Connection...the National colors would change to green and white...the rising sun/ball would be replaced with a boot and a ball..green ofcourse..

Mr John Williams would be in control of all the top players in Trinidad and Tobago..Stephen Hart would be replaced ..because his philosophy doesn't fit with John Williams'...the National Coach would be Earl Jean.. with Stuart Charles as technical director...for the Williams brothers this means more money...more money..more money..

I hope you are wrong.

Lets wait and see before we point fingers.

I myself do not like both Earl Jean and Stuart Charles.

180
Good interview flex but the question that needed to be asked was, will you undermine and try to replace Hart..

Will you push for more connection players on the national team and put the coach under pressure because of your own personal agenda?

Laughing it off isn't impressing me...

Signs of an autocrat until he proves otherwise

English language really hard to understand, I though David made it clear?

Maybe its just me.
