Despite the fact that 6 Players couldn't get visa from DR TO COSTA RICA, HAITI had 13 players, half of them made it to Costa Rica with no sleep this morning, With No training, no sleep, BARELY A BENCH TO COUNT ON WITH NO BACK UP GOALIE and still manage to take care of the Sugar boys 5-1..Congrats Haiti.. BRING ON THE US

Haiti did score a goal in the final minute of the first half... the ball crossed the line when the defender got to it. Rewatch the replay

Some other WC titbits with Haiti. 1970 WC, the TTFA claimed lack of funds and we played both games in Haiti.  Sores were 4-0 to Haiti in the first and I think we won the second 4-2, I think.

These two games you mentioned here was in 1968 for  the 1970 world cup. The scores were correct ..other WC games not mentioned in the above article, (1980)Haiti beat T&T 2-0 in Haiti and lost 1-0 in T&T to move on to the 1981 final Concacaf round in Honduras and eliminated T&T from the 1982 world cup competition

5 or 6 goals against Haiti.. can any one remind me the last time T&T beat Haiti by 5 or 6 goals... even though Haiti is playing with a full local squad,.... I would refrained from making such statement... Never under estimate your opponent.. Some one here did make statement last year around the same time that T&T was going to beat Haiti with its local squad at least 4-0 to earn a spot in COPA America, we all knew what happened.

Guys the Haitian soccer federation calls FIFA and confirm it that Haiti is in...and CONCACAF.com wouldn't report it unless they have confirmation from FIFA..
Beside you are a world cup potential contender team, wouldn't you like to play Haiti instead of Antigua. It would be a better team to measure against rather than Antigua..You should be cheering for Haiti to make it so that you can measure against a decent team with all its payers available...by then, Haiti will have all its payers..Haiti didn't have most of his players in the F. Guiana game.. they will be ready in January and T&T will be ready...it will be a nice fair fight..

Who's really behind these scheduling. An independent scheduler with common sense should take charge of the CFU  when it comes to fixing the group. T&T Haiti finished first and 2nd in the previous tournament , shouldn't they be rewarded by placing them in different groups. I think its unfair to T&T and Haiti to  be placed in the same group. Each team should be leading either group A or B. That was the same case last time for the u-17 round. T&T, Haiti, Jamaica in the same group, now it's T&T, Haiti and Cuba. The 3 best teams of the tournament in the same group.

You guys looks like you have the edge today. You're at home and well rested while my boys never got a chance to train in T&T. They waited overnight unexpectedly   for their connecting fly to DR and then had a three way fly, from DR to Panama then to T&T this morning. They're playing T&T without training this evening.  Im anxious to see what they can do without training on the opponent home turf.

I really think it's going to come down to T&T and Haiti just like it was two years ago in the final CFU round. I pick T&T and Haiti to finish first and second in their group. The first in our group will more like beat the first in the Curacao group and the second in our group will more likely to beat the second in their group. Observe that Curacao fixed the group to avoid T&T and Haiti...

After the 1974 world cup,  if I  remembered correctly, there was an all-star caribbean teams, all-star central American team and all-star North American team. They didn't play each other, they play top clubs like NY Cosmos , Miami Toros, Chicago sting, Millionarios from comlumbia and other North American club teams like Manic De Montreal which later became Impact de Montreal etc..It would be nice after the Gold cup to have a game like they do in the world cup ( The rest of the world vs the world champion).. It will be an entertaining game to have the rest of the CONCACAF Versus Mexico the champion ..A nice team with Players from the US , Caribbean and and central America to play Mexico
