I heard that Harrison has left T&T.

I am so happy.

Jack wins again.

You will leave T&T before me my son. No matter how many lies and smear attempts an innocent man never runs - or hides behind secret identities.

Rowley finalises ministers today
www.guardian.co.tt

Former Chief Operating Officer and Sector Head, Manufacturing, of the ANSA McAL Group, Gerry Brooks, is one of two people tipped to be appointed as the Minister of Finance in the Cabinet of the new People’s National Movement Government, which will be sworn in today at a ceremony at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s. The other is economist and former Deputy Central Bank Governor Terrence Farrell.

CNC3 reported last night that Farrell is the one likely to be given the job by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley with Brooks, who resigned from ANSA McAL on April 30, being given the Trade portfolio.

Sources told the T&T Guardian last night Farrell was more likely to be appointed Finance Minister, with former central Bank Governor Ewart Williams likely to be appointed an adviser to the Minister of Finance.

New Diego Martin Central MP Darryl Smith was tipped to be the Housing Minister but some sources said that portfolio may be given to former Community Development Minister Marlene Mc Donald.

Deputy leader and PNM campaign manager for the September 7 general election Rohan Sinanan is to be appointed Minister of Works, while former Social Development Minister Christine Kangaloo is tipped to be appointed a senator and given a ministerial portfolio.

New D’Abadie/O’Meara MP, Brigadier Ancil Antoine, is expected to be appointed Minister of Public Utilities at a ceremony at Queen’s Hall this morning.

Former newspaper editor Maxie Cuffie, the new MP for La Horquetta/Talparo, is likely to be named the new Public Administration Minister. He is one of at least 15 new ministers to take their oath at today’s ceremony.

Prime Minister Rowley has said he would have fewer Cabinet ministers than the former Kamla Persad-Bissessar government. No Minister of Local Government will be appointed, as the portfolio will be administered by the Minister of Finance.

Rowley, who was sworn in with Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi and National Security Minister Brigadier Edmund Dillon on Wednesday, said the ministries would be reconfigured and would carry larger portfolios.

Former Fatima College principal and former T&T Unified Teachers Association (TTUTA) president Anthony Garcia is expected to be appointed Education Minister, as Rowley promised during the general election campaign. Garcia was elected as MP for Arima.

Sources said yesterday that defeated candidate for Mayaro, Clarence Rambharat, will be appointed a senator and given the Agriculture portfolio. Rowley had named him as his choice for that portfolio during the campaign.

Party chairman Franklin Khan is tipped to be given the new Rural Development Ministry. Khan served in a former PNM government as Minister of Works

Sources also said former president of the Public Services Association Jennifer Baptiste-Primus will be given the Labour portfolio.

They said Diego Martin Northeast MP Colm Imbert was being considered for the Energy portfolio.

Speculation is that former Attorney General Bridgid Annisette-George is being considered to be the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

This was a very well kept secret.... and the beat goes on  :frustrated:

Maybe PNM was not sure they were going to win and did not prepare or have these shadow portfolios.
funny... all because it wasn't leaked and you don't know who it is!

What socapro said.

I'd be surprised if it's Brian, though.

Former sportsman helps, but isn't critical to being effective at the job.

Most critical trait is someone who is not afraid to go in there and force change. Same foolishness in the same broken system equals same results.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't, so interesting to hear my name called in it, but it's not even a remote possibility.

I will certainly be willing to work with the next Minister in a meaningful way, since I am more involved now than I have probably ever been in my history with TNT, with more plans/developments involving my national involvement to be revealed in the next 3 months.
Thanks Ato! You did some great work with the relay women recently. Hope you'll reveal soon if you're working with the sprint men also. Nothing will bring us more pride than relay gold in Rio! Continue to make us proud!

Ato is de best.

F00ck Yorke, Lara, Latapy, Shaka etc.

Lara and them is pure ass lickers, yuh have money these crooks does show up.

Allyuh ever hear Shaka, Yorke or Latapy helping anyone?

We need somebody humble and eager and hungry to make a change in every sport.

Somebody who not corrupted for once.

Ato was a UNC senator... so that not happening.
Also he's probably innocent... but remember he was tainted with alleged wrongdoing with the Australian affair/taxpayers money scandal.
Not sure where you finding this person with no allegations and a squeaky clean record.
Maybe Lara really is the guy!

word is Brian Lara
That's the word on the street!
As a Fatima alumnus I would love to see this!

It will prove a popular pick... but what are his qualifications?
Let me answer that with a question. Unlike other professional jobs, are there any prerequisites to being a government minister?

I prefer Stuart Young. The role of attorney general should always at least seem to be impartial... forget the last 2 who served in the role... I feel Young can play that role. I would save Al-Rawi as an attack dog in parliament when necessary.

That's the word on the ground. Should be a good choice.

Hey Haters! Long time no see. ;D ;D

Anyway. Here's the link for the Bermuda vs Guatemala WCQ:

Enjoy. And see you in the Fourth Round.

Perhaps.
Nice!!!! But no "PERHAPS". And since T&T is in another group in the Fourth Round. We will see you in the HEX. ;) ;)

Best of luck Jamaica2099.. I want to see you guys in the next round. But things just went from bad to worse for you guys:

http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/sport/Barnes-out--Austin-doubtful-for-Nicaragua-return_19227568

Looks like Barnes is out because he cant play on artificial turf. And Austin is not even in Managua.
I don't see a problem. We have more than enough Reggae Boyz to fill those positions and get 3 goals or more.
If the nics score a goal alyuh arse is grass!!!

I don't think this is the sort of thing Harrison and Sancho would block - they've always been in favour of promoting community football. It's more likely just an administrative cock-up. I'd love to see Ma Pau back in the Pro League, doubly with Fenwick at the helm! Would help to make the league more competitive.
You serious?

What the f#ck is this I'm reading?
I tried to hold it together when Harrison and crew just wanted to screw us over...
But now yuh want to f#cking insult our intelligence!!!!!  :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :bs: :bs: :bs:
Let me calm down before I get ban...
