Football / Re: Some simple questions...
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:39:49 PM »
But seriously no real reasoning as yet... we are really into some "magic" or just plain bad reasoning... I hate it when there is no accountability... I know seem to remember team shithong... or sorry I mean team manager? Mr. Muhammed saying something about asking him not why they were dropped but if there were anyone on the squad vs El Salvador that should not have been included... so I guess there are those better than Highland and Samuel...

The lack of proper reasoning and accountability is making its nasty head back into the football again... sigh here we go again?

Anyone with proper reasoning as yet?

Football / Some simple questions...
« on: August 26, 2009, 07:02:21 PM »
Hi all forumites I have not posted in a while and have been somewhat out of it for the Soca Warriors' South Africa World Cup campaign. While I do still think we're in for a fighting chance for 4th. spot and I respect Latapy and know that he is the best, most talented and most loved Trinbagonian to ever kick a ball I have a few simple questions that I don't know that answer to.

Please forgive me since I almost am certain that the answers to these questions may have been in an earlier posting but I am now logging on, first time in about 4 months.

Questions:

(1) Why was Collin Samuel not in the squad for the last game against El Salvador???? In my opinion he is one of T&T's best and fastest wingers and scored against Costa Rica in the previous game. I've always thought him to be one of our true and recent talents since our Germany campaign.
Was he insolent or disrespectful after the CR game and got dropped?

(2) Why was Khaleem Highland also not in the squad against El Salvador? I think he is one of our definite bright stars and he scored vs Honduras in T'dad. Also wasn't Highland supposed to be at least given a chance to be with the U-20's for the WC in Egypt? Is that still happening? If not why? I would think he should and could play both for the senior and U-20 team and get even better and help both teams.

(3) Was Hayden Tinto the guy who scored against Mexico in Mexico? Why did he not play against El Salvador?

(4) The trend is that all our actual good players or those who are improving and scoring or playing a good part and not getting games after they play well... Does this mean that Cornell Glenn on of the ultimate strikers for us over the last 4 years (who has sometimes been quite unfairly overlooked) is not going to play against Honduras?

Am I noticing a trend? Maybe I am not seeing the whole picture.

Someone please enlighten me...

Thank you very much.

J.

Football / Re: Maturana...fired NOW?
« on: April 07, 2009, 06:01:22 PM »
Maturana must go, our last 2 goodish performances which was last year against Guatemala (0-0 in Gaut.) and the 2-1 win vs the USA here, was SOLELY to Yorke and Latas controlling the game, it had NOTHING to do with Matucraphole on the bench or any strategy by him. Obviously when Yorke and Latas not in the game the side shitty because that is when they have NO choice BUT to listen to Mr. Matushithong.

Clyde Leon was NEVER supposed to be in that team, no one will ever know why Hyland did not START and play along with Birchall but Matushithong.

We played 3 games and have 2 points when realistically we should have had 4 (should have beaten El Salvador, and ironically I blame Yorke for letting Shitty Stern waste it).

Last time we had 1 point and a miracle man called Don Leo this time?????

I would say get Guus Hiddink...

what about Terry Fenwick as a local option?

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs USA game (01-Apr-2009).
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:54:12 AM »
Things I would love to see in the match today that will most likely NOT occur:

- Birchall and Hyland to start midfield.
- A proper right back to start in that position and NOT Anthony Wolfe.
- Clayton Ince to be the starting goalie.
- Jones and Scotland to start and Stern to be a SUB (for once).

The above are things that I am sure most of us would want for tonight's game. However we know that we will be lucky if 1 or 2 of the above points are actually followed by Matucraphole.

Anyway we can at least hope and pray as per usual.

All the best tonight my Warriors. Let's not lose please.

No matter what though, we will still be supporting you all the way.

Football / Re: D Touches Match report TT vs Honduras
« on: March 30, 2009, 07:15:57 AM »
I won't bother to waste my time mentioning anything about our forward line up or the CONTINUED inclusion of Stern John no matter what. We know that John must be bribing every football coach or is somehow related to Jack Warner or something. So all the best to Jones, Scotland and Glen if they ever get to play properly... I will continue to keep them in my prayers and wonder why Stern is never substituted or why can he for once NOT start and come on as a sub... no need to waste 4 years of my life on that anymore.

Now if we are playing a 4-4-2 system ignoring our obvious lack of strategy on the 2 forwards as per above, we NEED to find a proper right back!! Kudos to Aklie for improving slowly but surely as our left back (why do they dislike Avery John so much) but why on earth would you play Mr. Anthony Wolfe as right back??? No one would think that our 2006 World Cup non-starter striker would be forced to pretend to play right back, why is he there??? Where is Cyd Gray?? Seriously what has Cyd done wrong??? Where is Atiba Charles?? Also our left wing Keon Daniel, though he has a great shot and has scored twice in the campaign (last year) he is extremely SLOW and is a liability defending, (or does not defend at all). Where is Colin Samuel?!?! I know the coach fell out with him last year because he did not go to a game in Jamaica but please beg him to return!! He and Daniel would definitely be good substitutes for left wing, Daniel cannot do it alone!!

I feel sorry for Aklie Edwards who is moreless alone on the left side of defense due to the turtle pace of Daniel and on the right I feel EXTREMELY sorry for Carlos Edwards who is an excellent right back player as well, but we need him to stay on the wing and flank. Edwards had to back up lame Wolfe on numerous occasions on the right back and then run back up, and that is unfair to Edwards as he basically had to cover the entire right side of the pitch especially in the second half to help Wolfe!!

I pray that if we keep this 4-4-2 system we find a better right back, we find someone to help out when Keon Daniel gets tired, and I hope and pray that against the US we START our midfield with Hyland and Birchall!!! You would think that would be common sense since Hyland was obviously more effective than Theobald and of course we ALWAYS need Birchall, but you know with Matushithong at the helm we can only hope and pray...

All the best against the US my Warriors, we are still in it, but let's not lose against the US.

Football / Re: Yorke allows friendship to cost Warriors win.
« on: February 13, 2009, 10:27:50 AM »
Andre Baptiste you are not officially MY BEST FRIEND!! I agree 1 million percent with everything you said Mr. Baptiste. I said exactly the same thing in another post!!! You know the TTFF won't listen to me but thank God Mr. Baptiste you had the balls to say it on the express hopefully people will wake up and know that Shits John is NEVER to kick any penalties again. We all know (all persons on this site MUST know unless they are a waggonist) that Shits John was NEVER good in penalties as the wonderful Mexico game of 2005 would remind all you short memoried people off!!

Yorke and Latas were always our penalty specialists so I agree full well Mr. Baptiste!! This is not about Shits John this is about T&T football!! And I totally BLAME Yorke for allowing that lame player to kick the penalty. In 2005 Beenhakker and Stern was to be blamed, but now I am no longer blaming Stern anymore, if Maturana so stupid enough to play him, and Yorke more dotish enough to let him kick a penalty especially AFTER Yorke scored our last 2 penalties (against the US and the one before John missed) then fire bun Yorke and Maturana for their LAPSE in judgement.

I have the greatest respect for Yorke and what he has done, but I am happy that Mr. Baptiste was brave enough to say what WE ALL KNOW, that Stern is NOT supposed to kick anything (remember he missed kick a free kick before in that same game) and Yorke is to be blamed not Stern. Stern will always try to play hero based on the campaign with Beenhakker when he was fooled into thinking he was the best thing out (while the best thing out - aka Kenwyne was always put in the back burner). Well no more of that Shit. Yorke never let this happen.

If we do not qualify and miss out by 1 or 2 points I will be blaming Yorke's mis judgement and once again John will walk away scot free....

All the best Warriors against Honduras, let this shit never happen again please!!

Football / Re: Heads have to roll
« on: February 11, 2009, 09:28:57 PM »
I have been saying this since 2005 - No matter how good (rarely) or how much shit (mostly) Stern John plays, NEVER give him to kick any penalty.

I said it during the Mexico game where we eventually won 2-1 in 2005, and of course he kicked and missed the penalty.

I said it during the USA game we won 2-1 last year, and thank GOD Dwight took it.

I said it again tonight and prayed for Dwight to take the first one which he did, sadly ALL of OUR prayers were unanswered when we were awarded the second penalty and lo and be shitting hold Lame John got to kick it. Dwight needs to beat himself for stupidly giving John the penalty to take!! Why does John no matter what ALWAYS get the opportunity to shit down himself oh shits man. Shame on your Dwight, you is the blasted man in charge kick all the damn penalties or give anyone else but John!!

I fed up of this, even if we had won I would have still beat Dwight for letting Shits John take the penalty... John did not play too badly tonight but oh gorsh NEVER let him kick a penalty please please... 4 years now I lobbying for this or gorsh mann....

I give up yes....

Latapy: "Let's do it our way" really means: "I am the BOSS and whether I play or am a sub you all will listen to me and I will lead you where no Matushithong horse whisperer could ever lead you!!"

And we all say: "Thank God for OUR Little Magician we missed you, never leave us again and remain and take your rightful position as player coach and eventually become T&T's greatest ever coach!"

Let's pelt away Matushithong and long live Latapy and our REAL Warriors!!

Amen.

Football / Hopeful Supporters forever?
« on: October 12, 2008, 08:50:13 PM »
Firstly I must say a big Congratulations to Our Warriors for playing a game very reminiscent of the game against Sweden in the World Cup - same 0-0 draw same 10 men same grit and determination, and an even more hostile environment!! What I am going to type below is what I am sure most people in Trinidad have re-iterated and I think we all need to hope and pray that it happens (but this is T&T and it may not and we will forever be heart attack prone die-hard supporters):

(1) Fire Maturana immediately let Latapy be an official Player/Coach. The reason we played as well last night was ALL because of Yorke, Latas and OUR REAL TEAM. (Not the under 23 youths who not ready that Maturana had played before). Apart from Keyeno Thomas we started with 10 of our OFFICIAL 2006 Heroes and that is how it should have always been!! (Scotland, Wolfe and Ince were un-used subs in the World Cup, but you can see class is class with them, especially the great Clayton Ince). A real different and better team than vs. the US where we played with players who are just not ready yet.

(2) Against the USA on Wednesday, let Latas be a sub and in that way let him determine if he needs to come on later on in the game and at least make the strategies and call the shots and yell motivational shouts at the players etc. like a real coach from the line, not like the mute Matu shit hong. (The man was in Guatemala last night and you would think he can speak Spanish, but why was he NEVER cussing or getting on bad for the shit refereeing last night!! You would have thought that a lot of Puta Madre comments would be shouted out by him especially when Cyd Gray got erroneously sent off) but like the friggin man is a horse whisperer or something! Go back to your horses in Colombia Matu horse hong! At least Latas would know if he needs to come on and when and more importantly tell Yorke different strategies and most of all be able to speak ENGLISH. Maybe Latas can train Anton Corneal how to shout and speak too since Anton himself like he afraid to yell at the players during the game or talk... maybe Matu man will beat him with he horse whip!!?? Idiots they are!!

(3) Apart from the starters last night, we have our official striker Kenwyne Jones to come back and play, and our reliable Aurtis Whitley. Other than that Keon Daniel, Khaleem Hyland and one or 2 other players should play too especially if Latas not playing or starting. Other than that, keep the team (The REAL team) from last night.

(4) Aklie Adams and all the other youngsters let them play plenty in the U-23 team (make one if we don't have one) I see the U-20 team plays in the PFL which is very good for cohesion and will be a good force when they move up to the seniors but all other players on the Warriors team, the force ripe ones that Maturana threw on the team when he dissed our real Warriors should probably be on an U-23 or at least a T&T B team if possible. So most of the fellas who were not ready but yet played for us (and embarrassed us) against England earlier this year would be on that team. Then in the coming months choose one or 2 of them to maybe promote for the senior team for later games next year.

(5) I hope we have a good right back defender for Cyd. Where is Silvio Spann or Atiba Charles? Carlos Edwards is great there but I personally think we waste his winger talents and running capability when he plays right back we need him on the right flank or more forward, not only for defense. So let's pray we have a good right back at least for the US game, and Edwards could play ahead as his normal position.

(6) We have to keep our real players from last night and slowly transition the others. Keon Daniel, Highland and maybe Darryl Roberts and 1 or 2 others are really the only ones to talk about that apart from them we NEED the real 2006 team aka last night's team. I think the young goal keepers are good back up to Ince as well. The TTFF will prove true idiots the stand the test of time if they let go any of the players from our team last night after the USA game. Just one man to let go - that is Matu mute man! And NEVER ever discard Birchall again, he is one of the best defensive midfielders/utility players we ever had.

So I know that most of my points may not come to fruition but I can at least hope...

A hopeful Warrior forever?

See you all in the Stadium on Wednesday hoping to see the real team again.

I will NEVER get over why Dennis Lawrence the MOST experienced and overall best defender did not play!! We started more defensive yet we played with Cyd Gray and 3 inexperienced defenders!! What friggin sense is that. At least I thought Lawrence would have played and there would be 1 replacement for Avery John!! Maturana is a real frigging HOLE!!

The last 15 mins the US still making subs and we fighting down poor Glen who was obviously tired at least put on Scotland give the blasted man a chance nah oh shitss! Or even Andre Toussaint self!!

And why they ASS we give up 2 stupid free kick goals!!

So we start the game to defend and end up losing 3-0 when it shoulda be 1-0 and not give up 2 shitty goals from lame free kicks!! And to boot the best defender we have did not even play oh shits Maturana man!!

Lawrence did not play, Birchall not on team, Whitley injured, we need to somehow miraculously NOT LOSE to Guatemala at their home!

Wheyy things take a turn for the worse now!!

I posted a thread that magically disappeared. Anyway where are we the local forumites liming to see the game? I know that Flow does not have Espn 2 anymore. I know that Woodford Cafe showing bringing it live at 8pm our time. Maybe Trotters too. Does anyone know if our local stations are bringing it?

Any place in south to see it? Andre Samuel, Big/Small Magician, Touches, Patriot etc.

Let me know the lime.

Football / Re: TnT right mid/wing player options
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:34:48 PM »
Remember at the World Cup when Avery got a red card vs. Sweden for that game and the remaining games Cyd Gray went from right to left back, and Edwards went from right wing to right back. Sadly this killed our right side potency with Edwards no longer really running up the right wing as he had to defend more. Hopefully we will get someone else for left back.

Remember we once had an excellent left wing... on of our best in years. Very fast and skilful and played well at the World Cup until getting sadly injured... I think his name was ummm ummm COLIN SAMUEL!??! Where on Earth is Samuel now!? The last I heard he got kicked out of Toronto FC, where is he now? Oh damn!

And calling Silvio Spann too.

I am not sure where the thread is but does anyone in Trinidad know if it will be shown on local tv? I saw that the game vs. the USA on Wednesday will be shown on Espn 2 but Flow cable in T&T does not have Espn 2 anymore... any local channels showing it? Any bars here? I know that Trotters usually brings it?

Let me know maybe the Socawarriors.net forumites in Trinidad want to meet somewhere and see it?

I agree totally! With Yorke gone Maturana is a real ass to not beg Birchie to come and play ASAP!! We doh even have Whitley either. And yes Stern and Darryl Roberts will definitely be missed vs. the US in particular based on the strategy and the way the US plays as opposed to the Central American countries. Gosh you mean he could not get Birchie self wheey...

I was real hoping for a draw but now I eh sure yes... as usual we love to shoot ourselves in the foot over and over and over again!! Bring back Birchie for Good asshold Maturana even as a sub self!!

This will be a very intense game and I hope and pray our defense holds up strong. They will definitely be gunning for us since we virtually knocked them out of 4th place. Remember they beat us 5-1 in Guatemala with Edwards scoring the only 1 for us. And we catch we tail to miraculously beat them 3-2 and that was with our best team and our great Latapy and his magic. In that game we were losing 1-0 and then 2-1 before winning. And the 2 goals we conceeded to them were real soft goals they running through the middle and making Marvin Andrews look slow...

I do hope we can beat them for once and for all!!

I read the Express newspaper everyday and is like I blind or something I did not see the ad on it. Maybe it was on the papers last week or the week before? Anyway MOST of the tickets will be sold at the venue at least for the uncovered for the $200. For the England game which was sold out you could have still paid for the uncovered (the normal price too) at the gates so if that was so then OBVIOUSLY once you go there even up to 5pm I am certain you will still get it for $200. That is what I doing I eh fighting up, is parking I go have to see about if I go late.

This match lucky to have half of uncovered and half of covered filled.

Umm we are very DISSATISFIED with the 2 goals! I think Bermuda were actually stronger than N.A. We just missed more!! We need to actually SCORE the opportunties... Hyland, Baptiste, Gray and our keeper were probably the best players. Overall we kept the ball and played ok maybe an improvement but we must score the chances, missing a penalty and scoring 10% of the chances created is not good enough!

Yes we definitely need strong opponents! Like all them opponents get scared when they hear that Dwight, Birchie and the real Warriors actually going to play!?

Anyway I just saw the highlights of the Netherlands Antilles game and the only real positive for me is that we did not concede any goals and our keeper was ok.

Theobald MISSED a penalty in the first half! Well the keeper saved it and at this level I does get real mad when we fighting and having most of the chances to score (especially against these weak teams we playing over the last few months) and shitting up PLUS missing penalties! Theobald should get good wood in he arse! If you kicking a penalty place it and power it.. geez not a half placement that sorfy sorfy making the Neth. Antillles keeper look good. Just as we did against Bermuda when we lost 2-1 having most of the opportunties and wasting we did last night.

Glen miss a few too, he really better start back scoring because I know he is so much better than that. If our keeper was not good it coulda be 2-2 or something. Then again in the second half more missing as usual by our Soca Missers!!

Wolfe scored and ok header for the 2nd goal I real happy for him because no one up to now knows why he replaced Scott Sealey and made the 2006 WC team just for a free trick because we all knew he was never going to get a game... so at least Wolfie hopefully trying something it only took him about 4-5 years... but let's hope for him yes... so he was a good sub.

All in all we should have won about 5-0 the usual thing nahh. this 2-0 and small level wins is not good enough.

Happy to see Cyd Gray play, Theobald need to improve but hopefully when we get the real team back, he and Stern John will NOT kick any penalties...

Onward ever Warriors especially the real warriors! Hopefully we will get better opposition for the next friendly and more of the Real players will return.

Hyland was unlucky not to score his header... he is probably the only newbie that really make sense so far, happy for him and Portsmouth.

Kerry Baptiste scored a good lil first goal and I am happy for him to be in the squad too.

Yeah it really is difficult to support a team and nation you love when so much corruption is going on. I hate the fact that so much inadequate players without enough experience are on the team too, but sadly I have to support them. It is a pity that we can't put them in an Under 23 team and let them play and then choose a few as opposed to having over 50% of the team made up with them, because of the bad mind to Birchie, Sancho, Densil, Silvio etc. etc.

Football / Friends and Forumites let us pray.
« on: June 16, 2008, 11:35:55 PM »
I just said a prayer for the warriors. I don't believe, rely or trust in any of them, but I pray that lame-o Stern John and the rest of our B team can miraculously beat Bermuda by the 2 goals and then a miracle can happen like getting Sancho, Birchall, Cyd Gray, Silvio Spann and Theobald and others back in the team because then if we miraculously beat Bermuda we face USA, Guatemala and Cuba and those teams can all beat us!!

We literally knocked Guatemala out of the WC and remember they beat us 5-1 before we beat them 3-2 at home so they will want to kill us USA will always make us look lame, and somehow everytime we play Cuba we seem uncertain... help me help us all.

I seriously prayed for Maturana et al our footballers and all in authority for us to qualify over Bermuda and then a resurgence of common sense to take over our team.

I don't agree with the inclusion of many of our players and all of our technical staff but I will always be a Warrior come hell or high water and have spent more money on seeing them in Germany and for the qualifying campaign in 2005 than any other thing in my life. My investment in them at this time seems wasted but no amount of money (over $35,000) overall could have given the satisfaction of the game against Sweden and the first 82 mins against England... Poor Sancho scored our only goal - an own goal against Kelvin Jack vs. Paraguay... and who could forget the odd 15 mins of Latapy's magic...

Sigh... forum I really don't want our Warriors to end like this... not another 4 years till 2012 for our next qualfying campaign. So not matter what religion, culture, creed, aethist you may all be let us pray... pray that we at least go out blazing in a trail of confidence and pride and NOT against Bermuda... Who knows if we can come out of the round with the 3 aforementioned teams... but what can we do...

All the stalwarts, like Touches, Flex, Tallman, myself, O'Connor, Andre Samuel, Jayerson and many of us on this site from since the year 2000 and too all others including Reggae boy etc... shall we all pray...

Amen.
