« on: April 09, 2009, 07:53:41 AM »
Palos...the players ent sell out no game...they simply could not do any better. Barring Kenwyne...everybody has been exposed and that is the level they capable of.

I've seen players get "exposed" and still COMPETE.  There's no shame in losing.

There IS shame in lack of effort.

I think that though, depends on the level of exposure.
For instance, you could get yuh top ripped off, so yuh topless.
Yuh could get yuh bottom ripped off and now, well yuh bottomless.
And then, as happened to some on the field, yuh could get completely undressed (like Donovan did to Hislop), in which case, yuh completely ass-exposed naked.

I just concerned about Latas from this point of view: Didn't he just give up "a lot" at Falkirk to join de Warriors coaching staff. So with the possible introduction of a new coach, way dat leave Latas now. I just hope he don't get left by d wayside and have to go back Falkirk with he tail between he legs. But yuh know what, he shoulda know better dealin with Jack. I just hope Latas eh left out butt naked in d cold.

They have the fundamentals and fitness...  tighter organization... more pride and motivation
...

So what it is we better at exactly? Beats?

Our style is better, not the team, not the organization.  A strong, fit, organized Warriors team could beat the Americans...man for man. When they were the laughing stock of the world yuh feel they still didn't believe they were better?  Yuh can't walk like a dog with he tail between he legs.  We call warriors for a reason.

We called Warriors because nobody was goin Germany if we was called pu$$ies.  :rotfl:
But seriously, a strong, fit, organized Warriors team is a dream, an illusion. A nice one doh, will be nice to have. We sure coulda use dat last night in Nashville.

And hear nah, we gettin set-up again eh.
When/if Mats get fired, most likely we bout to get another "mercenary" coah who will be asked to get us to the WC.
Come on! That is not what we really need. Because soon after the WC, we go be right back in de same boat, ketchin we ass to make de Gold Cup, losin to Bermuda and Grenada again.
Yuh woulda think, after going to Germany, we woulda kept marching on, kind of like USA does now.
We come like ah old car way, everytime yuh bout to make ah spin, yuh have to pump de gas, click de key several times, get ah push to kick-start it.  :rotfl:

How long Sven stay wit England?

Or McLaren?

How long Scolari stay wit Chelsea?

Is a results business yuh in.  Yuh doh get de results, yuh out.  It eh bout no mercenary ting.  Who more mercenary dan owners and federations?

Dem fellas u mention get hired for a job, they didn't produce, dey get fired.
What I referring to by "mercenary" is bringing a man in speciufically to get us to the WC.
Scene?

Ince:
played with a heavy heart, but played dam good I thought, except for the last goal. Showed he could chest trap better then we million-pound forward, and head just as good.

Tallest:
Cut off damn near everythig in the air. Good job. Could have been more vocal in directing the other defenders to pick up the runners.

Thomas:
He try, but too flat footed. Did fiar with the air balls as well.

Edwards/Wolfe:
The good, they stayed back. The bad, they stayed. The ugly, they eh pick up a runner yet.

Birchall:
Thank God this fella not a born Trini yes. He eh fraid to look ugly atoll, long as he win dat ball, stick a foot in, kick d f*ck out of it, buut it, whatever, long as he get it out. We need this fella more than we know yes, so like I said, thank God.

Carlos:
Poor fella we. If only he had 2 more like-minded players intent on attacking, is all I could say. If I was he, I wasn even botherin to make dat 4kin long-ass flight across the Atlantic for shit like dat no more nah.

Daniel:
See the comment about Birchall, well this fella epitomize the Trini man... PRETTY BOY. Just dat Pretty not effective, not for what he out there to do. But hell, we know we go get we ass beat, so if he toolum couple men, hmmm, we might let him slide, only to say, he skillful and have potential. Trinis satisfied with potential, even if it never realised.

Stern:
He try, but only as Stern could. We know he eh go run nuff,  but if he get a chance... if only he get a chance... and we go hold we breath because we know, if Stern only get a chance... so we continue to wait.

Kenwyne:
This is another TRINI to d bone. LAZY... But say what, here too, we have this feeling dat he due for a break-out game... if Carlos only cross one, and Kenwyne only... Wait, but Carlos did cross one, and what Kenwyne had to do was attack the first post and... but he not dat type of player. It has to be the right length, and the right height, and in the perfect spot. Sadly though, we don't have anybody who could deliver like that on a consistent basis. So with Kenwyne too, we continue to wait.

Maturana:
I tired Dred. I cyah finish this. Somebody help mi please nah.

48

2) Ince is a negative impact on the entire team.
He constantly fights down the players when they make mistake and that is why God punish is ass with that 3rd goal. He is not a team player.

As a defender I not playing my all for Ince I letting them hit bullet in his backside until he learn to hush his mouth.

I thought Ince was boss. Remember the point blank save on the header from Altidore (I think) or was it Ching. And he has to get on the defense for their performance. After watching that game again, damn near about 90% of the runs US players made, they were never picked up by a marker. We had numbers back on most occasiont, but they were not closing down passing lanes and not picking up through runs. Anticipation on their part was lacking and good defenders need that. The central defenders (Tallest in particular) were cutting off corsses in the air well, but they were not picking up runs off the ball and that killed us.

But to address the quote, maybe that is why Ince let in the 3rd goal, as if to say he not saving he all for the defense so he letting the bullet score.  :rotfl:

These good for nothing, wanna be, footballers did not even have ah ounce of broughtupsy in them to acknowledge they fans after the game. I looking to move down to clap the feallas. When I look up men run off in the changing room. What the hell? Not even a little acknowledgement after people travel so far and watch them play all that mess.

Not good enough, no character.

Is Sven have dem Mexicans lookin shitty so. With ah big-ass tree like Onyewu back dey, and Bocanegra who duz attack dam near anything in de air, I cyah believe all dem long ball to d forwards Sven have dem playin.

De last time these 2 played in Houston, I was dey and was impressed with how Mexico carve up d US defence wit some short, crisp, quick passes on the ground. I cyah believe all dem hail mary passes to d forwards. Sven 4k up dat mexican side. De US make dem look real shitty.

As long as Mex continue to play like dat, dey will still go to d WC, but dey not dominating CONCACAF no more. Dey have to go back to their original style, quick, crisp, accurate passes, and running at people, not dat hail mary bulllshit Sven have dem playin.

Yuh cyah blame de loss on any 1 thing, but de bottom line is, GOALS WIN MATCHES.

So if you leading 3 - nil, den de other team have to score 3 to tie and 4 to beat yuh.

If u leading 2 - nil and get ah penalty, in any game, but even more so in yuh fuss game of de hex, on de road, for ah chance to go to d WC, knowing dam well dat if yuh finish anything but top 3, dat is not 4kin Bahrain or Azerbaijan, but de 5th place team from CONMEBOL, yuh doh 4k around. Yuh make sure dat ball end up in d back ah d net. Especially wen yuh no it go be even harder gettin points on d road against every other team in d hex, and also, knowin dat chances of goin forward very slim with jus takin points at home.

I REAL 4kin vex. STEUPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hear nah... trinis is real trouble oui...

slates vex they put DEY HOME GAME, where DEY WANT to put it oui... because is ah inconvenience to he as ah AWAY SUPPORTER!!

For real.

I mean, if anything we would try to minimize the presence of away support. Why do you think we play Mexico in Ohio rather than California or Texas? I don't see why that's so hard to grasp.

Yuh know, this is a Soca Warrior forum. Is it then surprising that some on here would express sentiments that are biased towards the Soca Warriors and Soca Warrior fans? I mean, is not like if I wrote a formal complaint to the USSF. I express my disappointment on a forum. So Mr. Zeppo, I am not trying to sound offensive here either, but f*ck-away with you and the horse you rode in on.

Zeppo think I have difficulty grasping shit? I have the opposing thumb too yuh know pardnah... and a good enough head on my shoulder, so I could grasp with the best ah dem.

I goin to Nashville, just like I've gone to Chicago and damn near everywhere else they've scheduled them games. Hell, I even go see US/Mexico... when is not too much of an inconvenience... and almost get my ass in ah fight at the last game in Houston because Pecos, Anotnio and Juan, with they Mexican flag draped all over dey ass, all assumed that I was American. I don't know, maybe it was because my wife, with she friggin Donovan shirt, couldn't "settle down" when Altidore scored. I dey trying to tell she dat although we in Houston, we really in Mexico, so she might want to temper the celebrating. But nah, she dey carrying on and I nearly have to put my Trini foot up 3 Mexcain asses because an American score ah friggin goal. LOL

So like FF say, Trinis is real trouble oui.

Zeppo, leave me alone pardnah... let me bitch and gripe if I want. OK?

Football / Re: Thread for the T&T vs USA game (01-Apr-2009).

TTFF should schedule de friggin return game on some friggin field way down Mayaro just for dat! Leh we see how Donovan and dem go like dat... how dey go perform with cow $#it and ting on the friggin field... but ah sure FIFA have some friggin rule dat go bar dat from happening.

Settle down, pardner! The stadium and facilities are top notch, easily better than anything you'd find in T&T.

And I can guarantee you that it will be 100% cow sh!t free!  ;D

You settle down my friend. You don't have to tell me that. I will never question the quality of US facilities, or the quantity for that matter. It is the MF-in inconvenience for the average T&T fan that stirs up my sentiments.

Nash-friggin-ville?

Why not somewhere in DC, MD, NY, VA, or even Connecticut like the last campaigne, you know, somewhere convenient for the average T&T supporter? They know most T&T supporters are located on the East Coast. They know that it is a bitch having to fly to Tennessee from Trinidad. They know all the $hit (true or not) that we hear about Tennesse and places like that. They know that we're not boldly inclined to venture into certain places. Not that we faint hearted, but some of us on here are old enough to remember Roots and Mandingo and other such movies. Nah-mean??? LOL

So I ask again... Nash-friggin-ville???

But like I said, I done check for my flight. Dey coulda schedule dat friggin game in Alaska, Slates was still goin. Look man, when the day come, that they schedule Soca Warrior WCQ on the friggin MOON, I bet you will see a Red, White & Black flag on that bitch and you bound to hear ah iron (even it if out-a-time like dem dey had in Chicago) licking in the croud, becuz we is Trinis and dat is what we do. But we reserve the right to get a little unsettled! K pardnah?  :beermug:

Nash-friggin-ville???
What is the logic???
Is as if ah man in d US federation decide to close he eye and throw a dart at ah friggin US map, and wayever it stick, dais way he schedule de friggin game.
Of all the stadiums, in all the states, they come up with Nash-friggin-ville.

TTFF should schedule de friggin return game on some friggin field way down Mayaro just for dat! Leh we see how Donovan and dem go like dat... how dey go perform with cow $#it and ting on the friggin field... but ah sure FIFA have some friggin rule dat go bar dat from happening.

Oh well... leh mi go an look for ah flight eh. Man say it nice dey, so ah go see.

Las time I pass thru dey, I set my friggin cruise control 1 mile below d speed limit and make sure I eh cross no white line, or follow nobody too close, until I cross d friggin state line, because dem 4kin state troopers use all dem bull$hit excuses to pull man over and subject dem to all kinda humiliating $hit.

Or, but man say yuh could fly in and ride bus and walk, so let mi go look a flight hear sah...

Seeing that it's been 25 years since Mucurapo won a national Intercol title,I was trying to remember the squad.

I was in Fatima back then. We had a very mediocre team that gave Muc. a very good run in the intercol. I think we lost 1-0, after having 3 good chances in the first five minutes.

The Press said that the team boasted 7 national players, 6 from the U-16 team, that had played in the Concacaf Cup earlier that year with Latas and Colin Rocke. They also had an U-19 player who was training/playing with the Sr. team.

I remember Marvin Faustin, Hutson Charles, Ross Russel, Alli (the GK) and some burly defender.

Can you guys remember that team.

Peace,
VB

I think Sean Walkes, Russel Sutton Walkes and the burly defender you talk about could be a fella named Andy Haynes were in that team. That burly fella, Haynes, almost broke my leg on Fatima grounds. I remember him well.
