Tallman, I think he is referencing the fact that Cornell is injured...so Sealy is "T&Ts lone HEALTHY MLS Striker"

Very good interview ..good to see that we have players that could express themselves properly ...

Never ceases to amaze me .... Screening Sessions for an All-Star Team?????.....

Isn't an AllStar team based on merit?  Don't you get PICKED for an AllStar team?? Isn't an honor to get picked on an All Star team??

So...I coulda play sh... whole college league season...then have a good 'tryout' and make the same college league All-Star Team????

Backwards as hell!!

Another blast from de past, I thought that Jason Gatt was ah good player (Big Saints man)
Daniel Peters(thought that he would make it big)

Horse, Jason Gatt was real sh!t. come better than that nah man.

I was young back den, I just thought that with more effort on his part he would have made a good player. Yu do think so?

Horse, Gatt had a first touch like ah elephant. But he was big, strong and fast so those mistakes were easy to rectify in the little boy Colleges League environment.

Now if you want to look at push and run men that coulda go somewhere, call a name like Jason Rocke. He was a beast. Decent first touch, and could butt like anything.

JahY,
wit all due respect I play wit both ah dem men Gatt and Rocke at Saints..even play wit Gatt up here in College...

The man did the best with what he had ...and he workd hard at it...so did Rocke..and college league wasnt no lil boy league back den boss...it has real bruisers out dey fella..you know dat....it wasn't like how it now where half de players nashy nashy!

Gatt is a man that was scoring real crucial goals for saints and he developed his game to where he was a perennial all-conference player in west virginia ..so give respek where it is due....

J. Rocke, once he became his own player (and not solely Colin R younger brother) ...he was a beast ..leading the nation in scoring! in the start he was all speed (see Thiery H. in his young days) ...then he,with hard work became a pure striker....

If yuh talking Saints forwards ...Kona Hislop was the best I have seen ...not sure how he stacks up to the men in the earlier days ..but in my time...Kona gets the vote!

Gabre Cummings in another man that did not reach his potential ....size was the main problem ..dribbling and shooting ...young Gally was a dan!

Marvin Raeburn.....bess left footed schoolboy in Colleges league with speed.

Sean Boney....we lorse a beast, he making Onandi Lowe look small.

D Moze brothers....not the keeper or the youngest one, the other two.

Darren Lewis

Brent Rahim...Imagine this man went Newcastle as a schoolboy and pop down

Leslie Fitzpatrick...Went Roda JC as a schoolboy

Martin Robertson...A short white boy for QRC who had a bess touch.

Miguel Mitchel......dat coulda beat and tun up men

Sterling Smith

Jeremy Shortt

Marvin Oliver....when he was younger that was tears.

Wesley Webb another man who just fall orf d radar.

Clint Marcelle

Stern John......what Stern was in Columbus crew...to Forest...to what he is now.

Silvio Spann

Hardest

Anthony Sherwood....he never recover from dat break foot he get in the stadium.

Dwarika...described by the Scottish as the most skilful since Pele. Arnold was d fist player to do behind d back chip pass the length of the field accurately.

Nixon

Richard Theodore....Rip

This fella who in jail for selling drugs Adrian Narine...Narine was lil mad but he was Joe Public big player for a lil while.

The one who get discovered too late...Reynold Carrington

Evans Wise

St Anthonys and Fatima men go remember this indian youth...Gary Gibbings....he had potential. Whatever happen to he?

Touch dais a big big list yuh have dey...but some would differ on a few points...

Marvin Raeburn.....bess left footed schoolboy in Colleges league with speed ... yuh might want to consider Nixon for that position

The Moze brothers (played with all of them at Saints..) Kevin aka Slapper ..was the best one ..Darragh was probaby one of the best def. mids at CIC..

The memory of Miguel Mitchel ...VERY GOOD PLAYER ... and Wise rippin up the North zone... brings back memories of when Miguel beat CIC whole midfield and defense from right to left side in a intercol match in the stadium (had mih boy Ian Briggs kneeling down along the way) ...and den bark it onto the cross bar!!! and Wise at CIC grounds wit jus drag after drag!! dem 2 fellas put St. Anthony's on the college league map!! oh gawshhh...memories dred!

Anybody remember when playing in the Stadium as a schoolboy was de shh!? now everybody running out there regular regular..the stadium come jes like another field now! ...my how tings change!

Sterling Smith ..one ofthe best in his day ..Bertille real check for dis man at the U16 level back in de day...I en know why he en make it...must have been when he went to QRC from Belmont..

Shawn Garcia is a next man that was supposed to blow up...one of the most solid defenders in college history

Sherwood was definitely one of TT best ..the injury done him..even though he is a legend at VCU...

And I will add myself (CIC 88-90) to the list of men that en reach dey potential ..I en giving names because I en able wit some ah de killas on dis site!! ;D

At the moment Kaka is the best midfielder in Europe right now...Ronaldinho not even touching him these days. The youth could real play football.

I approve of that message...only wish he had a better WC..then people would put him in the talk for world player!  he would have my vote..good youth..should be Brazil capt. next time around!

71
BUH WHA DE ASS IS DIS??????????????

Reading that as a ex-saints player and student ..saddens me beyond words ... I seriously believe that all the powers that be..old boys, students, the administration at CIC, need to ask this man to offer his resignation or fire him!

There is absolutely no hope with this fella at the helm! If I could send my coaching resume I would....the players deserve better than that...how he could say "he sorry is CIC and not a better school Fatima"?????? He didn't study before he accepted that job or what??? Yes, Fatima might have the better players right now, but noooooo waaayyy should a CIC coach talk bout he wish he was at Fatima! Did noone clue him in on the rivalry that exists there?? ;D ;D

Unbelievable!

« on: October 26, 2006, 01:59:28 PM »
I don't know Spann and i don't think i've even seen the guy play but if i have to go by what i've read about him he seems to be overated and it has gone to his head.

What players have to understand is what we call a good player in T&T is average over seas, the market out there is huge and only when our players get out there they does realize they are not what they thought they were.Out there have lots of average players and you have to be lucky to make it,it's not just ability.

Spann have to get off his high horses, humble himself and start from scratch, stop telling people what you want and start accepting what is offered to you, since before the WC he turning down offers now offers turning him down,i agree with Sam,what is it he waiting on,his father was good not him, these mordern day star boys just don't know what to do with the talent they have.

Coop's, nuff respect eh boss, but I feel you reading dis youth wrong.  Spann is a "God" youth, dat sound like Whitley you was describing.  In a "faithful" life you are told not to settle at the 1st thing that comes your way, "not everything glitter is gold"...so Spann put his faith in the man above to open up a way for him, that's all ... it eh no "starboy (see Whitley and Stern)....' ting wit him...the fella "believing" that what is for him will show itself in due season....

Spann will be alright .. keep yuh head to the sky bredda...

Bless..

Yeah!!!!!!!

Hear nah, doh mind dem men and dem yuh know. When yuh hear dem get relegated, is all kinda suicide watch and depression, all kinda medication dey does end up on.

Not we. CIC men, we hold tight, stand firm and come back fightin.

Is like Bob Marley say, "through de powers of de most high, we keep on surfacing..."

Trinifan, you stay out ah my post eh!!!

Nah allyuh not on suicide watch.....walking around putting fake parking tickets saying 'CIC we want a goal' on people cars is normal. ;D

Alot of teams are playing better football than Liverpool in the Prem..I watched Fulham and Blackburn play and the pace was hot and fellas was making plays..Liverpool are flat and predictable ..looks like Benitez is losing his players ...I know Gerrard will want out if they do not make CL this season ..

I am a Liverpool Fan but I have to give it to United, they are playing good ball, Ronaldo is their main threat right now.  Team to watch is Everton, they have a nice brand..

To be 11 pts back at this early stage is ridiculous ..benitez could end up on the hot seat

I was going an cool it until ..Trini Fan come on here..listen..every dog has it day.. yuh fall down to rise again..
I en go even front..dis ting doh even sound right .."Saints get relegated" ..

but all the men (and women TF) ..that hatin and happy ..have to know that there is an element of envy tied up in the hate and ole talk.. just could not stand to see CIC be dominant in EVERYTHING!!  unfortunately the athletes..in scholar-athletes let us down this time..  but there continues to be a sense of pride as CIC continues to churn out scholar after scholar after scholar ..so when the haters could match that or even breath that kind of air ...have yuh football fuh de hour ....

This Whitley thing is very disappointing ...when I was ordering my lil Warriors red replica jersey ..ah say "get the number 9 (Whitley) or de number 10 (Latapy) on the back?"  ... so glad ah went with the 10!

Every team has a "Whitley" on it (England - Rooney), it seems ..so we cannot give up on him ... I watched him when he got subbed for Latas to come on and he was vex!!!  .... know yuh place...stay focussed..be humble... so that tell me he have a attitude problem ..

The ball is definitely in his court ..and I respect Whim decision to drop him..a standard must be set .. getting back to the WC is not a "game of checkers ...IS CHESS!" (Denzel - Training Day) ... the same amount of people that want to see us get back to the WC, want to see us fail ...remember dat ..

As far as Bleeder concerned...why we even talking bout him and National team in the same breath?!!  If he could make that team again..then Morvant man  :rotfl: could get a sweat too!   :rotfl:

Watch de Ride

I think you mean "peripheral" vs. tunnel vision ..tunnel would mean that he cyar see anything but what is in front of him...

« on: September 25, 2006, 06:21:24 AM »
As a man that played for the man at Saints (U14) mid - late 80's .. I have to chime in ..he was a very good coach for the age group (U14)..we the players wanted to play for him and he got he best out of us his players.. the players today just don't seem to have the goods as they did back in the day...so you can't entirely blame the coach

Those were the days when (ex QRC draft from belmont) Sterling Smith was the most deadly striker in the north zone ..until Dwarika and Malick exploded on the scene..

Fact is that the league play as a whole has dropped since the late 80's early 90's ... When all the north zone teams had big guns on them .... Jason Rocke, Cummings, Moze, Checkey, Garcia Wise, Miguel Mitchell, Dwarika, David, Webb, Nixon, ...and the list goes on...
I know it have youths on here that will say the late 90s waas hot in the league too ...but I still going with my half a decade any time..!

Uprising, very good point. The standard of the play (and quality of individual players) has dropped considerably since the late- 80's and early-90's to now.

And men who say late 90s was good need only look at how a converted left-back (Marco Elcock) could run rampant in the Colleges League and score close to 30 goals, only to go to Wright State University on scholarship and never see the field.
Dat is a real shame, well at least the youth will get his degree.  I was looking to draw men out that could have list players from the late 90s that could run with the players I call out..but no takers! ..cuz dey know!

i always think that harry kewell has more to offer
Yes Boss ..Kewell is ah player.. once healthy he is in the top 5 for his position -left attacking mid- in the league

Makalele -underappreciated too-

What we think about Emerson?  Even though he did not show well in the WC mainly because Ze Roberto do most of the work...

I think Kaka underrated too ..if he had the freedom R'Dinho has ..he would mash up the place..

obviously you doh watch full game only highlights... you know how much bad trap, bad pass, miscontrol, trip, fall over, wild kick, voom-kick overbars and pull stones went pass before he score that goal???? watching drogba and shevchenko in attack is like watching heaven and hell....

you know how shearer trademark goal celebration is palm in the air, ronaldo is de flying plane and bebeto was de rock de baby??  Drogba is de only man patent a celebration for throw-way.. Its basically skin he teeth, hold he back with one hand and raise the other as if to say sorry dey fellahs..

Point well taken breds..ah come at yuh a lil reckless dey .. hard luck...

Ah still wouldn't say he overrated though ..he is not the bes in the world ..but ..when he on ..he on...how about that as a compromise?  He kinda like Stern ..better yet ;D ;D
