Football / Re: Would Birchall make a good defender ?
« on: June 08, 2009, 10:23:05 AM »
I know all alyuh blind and biased peeps on here will jump on me for this, but Birchall is as much a liability as he is an asset. He can tackle and win the ball and hit good long crosses, but he loses the ball way too often and easily when he's put under pressure from the opposition because he cannot create any space, can't link up in attacking interplay well, and hits a good few misplaced passes on his day. He's an enigma- has his positive and negative impacts on the team, and in being respectful of the quality of other midfielders we have like Trent Noel and Silvio Spann, I can understand fully why Latapy left him out, and if he leaves him out in the future. A good example of his shortcomings is in the Costa Rica game, Carlos threw in the ball to him, he just had to hit a simple return pass to Carlos, but hit is much too soft and a Costa Rican came in and took the ball- chance gone and pressure now on the our very suspect defense.

I don't EVER see anyone on here talking about Birchall's weakness, but instead you all talk about him like he's Steven Gerrard and leaving him on the bench is treason, Birchall can do no wrong in the eyes of all the supporter- people seem to be blinded to and do not mention his errant passes and soft losing of the ball under little pressure in matches.

Right, so now that I've personally dispelled all the very annoying and biased talk about Birchall that every spouts, I still believe he should be on the field because we need a lively midfielder to protect the defense and who can tackle well, just that unlike everyone else, I acknowledge the weaknesses in his play that can cost us, and believe that he should play a very rigid and disciplined defensive midfield role, taking as LITTLE RISKS AS POSSIBLE, keep it simple, and leave as much of the advancing as possible to the other midfielders. I hear people talking about his shooting ability, but we have other players like spann who can also shoot from distance, and can create space when crowded out higher up the field, and since Birchall can't do the latter, again he should stay deep and leave the advancing to the other midfielders, because in attack his liabilities outweigh his assets.

We don't have many players who are solid and complete players, most have some skills but lack others, so need to have 2 players doing what one should be able to do, but the thing is there's only 10 outfield spots available, so when you sacrifice one player, you sacrifice one aspect of the game that is required to win matches, and enhance another, so it's always a trade off, so whether Latapy takes off a midfielder like Trent Noel to play Birchall, we may be more defensively sound when the opponents have the ball, but at the same time we probably won't be as creative and fluid in attack and build up play to create chances- and goals win matches.

So like I said, with the incomplete nature of most of our players, it's always a trade off and sacrifice, there's only 11 spots on the team, so what ever route Latapy goes, I'm sure he(with his experience and football knowledge, unlike us armchair coaches) more than us will know according to the players we have, what trade off has the better chance of yielding results and have us winning football matches. I see disadvantages and advantages of having Birchall on like many other players, I trust Latapy more than us will be able to filter it down and come up with the definitive and best solution.

The only sure starter on this team is certainly Carlos Edwards, he's been our best player by a good amount for years on running.

On the post, I feel that Birchall could possibly work as defender(but definitely not wingback), he's faster than any we've got now, and he's very lively and has aggression.

On a side note, with how Kenwyne playing in attack for Trinidad, I feeling Latapy should put him back to play defense, he might be of much better use to us there. Even saying that, I still feel he can display his quality in attack for us, if we were creating as many chances in the past 7 months as we did against Costa Rica, I'm sure Kenwyne and Scotland would have scored a good few.

You all played very honourably against Costa Rica fellas, keep your heads up. Of course we have many things to improve on, but from this showing, I'm very confident that Latapy will get them right!!!!!

Keep the faith people, even if we get nothing on Wednesday we still capable of winning against El Salvador at home and an already qualified USA at home.

Then all we have to do is EARN our spot by winning in Honduras and having an all or nothing final game at home against Mexico. if we cah get those points...we doh deserve to go.

And if we should fail in one of those attempts, we have to hope Costa Rica qualify when we go to Saprissa so we could get something there.

The way we play yesterday, we could beat any of the 4 sides we play so far, anywhere on our day.

COSIGNNNNNNNNN MEH BRUDDERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

COSIGNX2. I FULLY AGREE BRUDDER!!!

I like Costa Rica, they're the top team yet not arrogant like US team they humiliated, I wish them well, it's really nice and uplifting to hear the Costa Ricans compliment our team by saying we were their most difficult opponents so far. That confirms what I and other thought about our play. Hope that fact lifts the players. We just need to keep up that intensity for the full 90 minutes, keep pressuring every opposing player who has the ball and defend better. I am convinced that Latapy is gonna shape up into a world class coach and manager.

« on: June 07, 2009, 01:27:51 PM »
i feel birchie got limited minutes b/c of this game in the azteca.  we will need his energy to combat pardo and torrado (although they didnt look too hot in san salvador last nite).

yea man das a real smart move, bench your best players and give up 3 points at home for the 0.00001% chance of stealing a point in de Azteca

ras me ent know, maybe birchie wasn't match fit, maybe he ent fit into the tactics latas wanted to employ.  either way, the squad have to be rejigged for wednesday.  mexico coming out gunning, blanco came off the bench last night, i expect him to start this game.

No, I don't know if you all are blinded or biased, but Birchall hits too many misplaced and errant passes in midfield. A good example of this was when he came on, and late in the game Carlos threw in to him, and he had to simply hit it back to Carlos-an easy pass, but his return pass was soft and poor, so a Costa Rica player swept in and took the ball. We simply had midfield players who can pass the ball much better than him and not lose possession as frequently, so there wasn't any room for him.(trent noel, silvio spann)

Now that I've cleared up that very annoying issue of people talking like Birchall is Paul Scholes- I still believe Birchall should be on the team- acknowledging his shortcomings and the problems they bring though, UNLIKE everyone else on here. His tackling and energy in midfield is really needed on this team. Birchall can make long crosses, but it's the on the floor passes, the interplay passes and creating space that he stuggles with. He helps protect our shaky defense, but we just have to find a way to minimize his shortcomings.

I fully understand why Latapy left him out- is the importance of his tackling and protecting the defense, enough to offset the pressure his losing the ball puts on the defense anyway? Fc Barcelona shows that if you can keep the ball and build up play well, your defense automatically has less pressure on it and their weaknesses isn't exposed as much.

The ideal scenario would be to have one midfielder with tackling and passing and linking up, ala Steven Gerrard, but of course we don't have that, so they have to compensate for each other, and work even more together in tandem as a unit. I think what can work is having birchall lying deep, and anytime he has to ball the other midfielder hurry up to support him, because if he gets crowded out, unlike other players he can't create space, so he loses the ball.

All this being said, imho we need Birchall's tackling in midfield, but with players like trent noel and silvio spann building up play like they are, it's hard to find a spot on the field for him. I believe that Latas will find our best team, that can win matches, whether that means that Birchall is on the field or off it.

I'm a realist and I believe in striving towards excellence in everything

If you is a realist, you would realise that whether it's Mats or Latas, old or young, Stern or Scotty, pretty or ugly football - we still get a cut ass, we chalk up another loss, and we further away from securing a place to South Africa. Cut it which way you want - we further up shit creek. Conceeding 3 goals on the road was a bitter pill to swallow, but men seem to be overjoiced that we collect 3 goals at home because we playing pretty. That is the kinda complecancy that have us where we are at the moment.

I am with you that we will beat Mexico in Mexico, and will even go as far as saying we will win 2-0 or 2-1 based on how they played against ES last night. As I said before, Latapy needs more than his fair chance to work with TT Football - he has a vision that requires longevity, but in a business where results matter and speak the loudest - how many more losses can we tolerate?

Yeh, you're right there, results is what matters, but it's also about how to get results. The thing I'm getting at is that, the way we played yesterday, save the defense, is the first time since the world cup 06 that we look as though we're capable of actually getting results from a football match without relying solely on luck(and we've had our fair share.  **boomkick**) and hopeful play, but methodical build up.

How you win matches consistently isn't from hopeful play, but from constantly applying pressure on all opponents and building play and creating chances, and like I said, it's the first time since Beenhackker that we can do that. We just have to work out our defense now, and use much more wingplay. Your opinions are very valid though acb, sorry bout coming across abrasive there. Like I said before, I believe Latapy will prove to be a great manager and coach.

Move the game to Tobago, who pack the DY stadium and make more noise that the HC will ever dream of.

I Trini by birth, but I say we should have all the rest of our home games in 'bago for that reason alone!

If we want to be dead serious about this World Cup qualifying thing and creating overwhelming home advantage much like CR and Mexico does we definitely need a football dedicated stadium with no athletic or cycle track and with about a 15,000 to 20,000 capacity! This is a serious issue if we want to qualify for regular World Cups as we need to be creating definite home advantage!

Latas has the potential to bring back our football to the level we were at in the strike squad days so lets give him a chance or to be more accurate lets hope JR & the TTFF doh @*$!-up again!!

I totally agree, cosign.

Ride out from here with this crap eh acb. Just focusing on every negative you can find and things you can warp to turn into such- by omission or straight twisting, and dismissing the numerous positives. This was the best performance from TnT since the World Cup 06, and thais all you could write. I'm a realist and I believe in striving towards excellence in everything, but I don't like the vibes I seeing here.

WE ARE STILL VERY MUCH IN WITH A GOOD CHANCE OF QUALIFYING, WE ARE AMONG 4 TEAMS WITH NOT MANY POINTS, THE TOP OF THE 4 ONLY HAS 3 MORE POINTS THAN US, MEXICO ONLY HAVE 1 MORE POINT THAN US. IT'S ALL UP TO US, IF WE CAN PLAY CONSISTENTLY TO THE HIGH QUALITY WE DISPLAYED FOR A GOOD PORTION OF THE FIRST HALF VS COSTA RICA AND WITH BETTER DEFENDING, THEN WE WILL QUALIFY, IF NOT WE WON'T AND DON'T DESERVE TO EITHER.
I have to admit its not really looking so bleak if T&T can get anything out of the match on Wednesday, hell a win could put T&T 4th and possibly only 1 point out of 3rd.  Of course Mexico hasn't ever lost a competitive match at the Azteca, but of course no nation as small as T&T had ever qualified for a World Cup either.

EDIT: Mexico has lost there once, to the team who just beat T&T, but the message remains the same.

ahh, nice to see someone else pushing positive vibes and sentiments. like you said, by qualifying for the world cup as the smallest nation, we've illustrated that all records have to be broken some time. Only one team ever beat them in the Azteca, who's to say we can't be the second. Yeh, all the odds are against us, but we have nothing to lose, and we've defied the odds already, so go there and play with no fear fellas. Is Jesus on de Mexico squad?

The least that can happen is that we lose in an honourable way. The best form of defense is offense, I'll add to that pressuring every opposing player everytime he have de ball. If we have to bow out, at least go down playing the best way we can play- and that's attacking-like how Latapy have us playing and esp. like in the first 30mins of the 1st half vs costa rica. Don't try to play the absorbing pressure defensive game that we can't play, like under Mats, and get blown out of the water and out of the running for the World Cup.

Allyuh blaming Ince...but if people running through your middle eh much de keeper could do.
This team played well today...this is how we should have been playing at least a year ago. Kenwyne Jones will take about 2 more seasons to develop into that top striker...right now he eh goal hungry enough...
But we defense is de rel problem DOG has been loyal but right now he bark more ferocious than his bite....James is still untested but he cyah be worse than A. Edwards or M. Hislop....even Sancho is worth a hope...Jloyd ah hope yuh readin de site....
Had this team had a good quality warm up game it would have worked out some of the kinks...we have 5 games....we eh winnin in Mexico...and I think our chances are better now than 6 months ago

I agree with the Ince part- he saved our asses today with good positioning and super saves on a few sure goals for Costa Rica. Anyone who rates him down based on this performance doesn't know about football, fullstop. Ince was very good and solid today.

Football / Re: T&T vs Costa Rica Players Performances.
« on: June 06, 2009, 11:50:52 PM »
like some ppl here need to watch this game again especially andrews performance... the only thing that really let down that man was his stupid long balls.defensively he made one mistake w/ the 1st goal... like ya'll forget that right after the equaliser a man get away clean from lawrence (who continue standing in one spot foolishly) and was one on one w/ ince up until andrews buss speed and pressure the man and force him to hit it wide
Thank you...  :beermug: and men here want to give the man 5.

I watched this game and I hoped with the usual suspects of blame (stern, akile) missing people would notice some of the overlooked or understated flaws of our game..I have sat silently while ppl have constantly ignored Deenis Lawrence's shortcomings in several matches in this qualifying series...
While partnered with Keyeno..ppl on this board regulaly rated him over Thomas despite Thomas usually having the better game..in fact I compare his partnership with Thomas..which has good chemistry i add...to the partnership between carvahlo and john terry...in that altho terry (tallest) garners more acclaim and attention..it is really carvahlo (thomas) who was cleaning up his errors and making timely interceptions to make the other one look good..

In this game..lawrence could be faulted FOR ALL THREE GOALS...
on the first..he was caught in no man's land..he was ball watching..he did not protect the far post or put proper effort into shallenging saborio's eventual scoffed shot..HE WAS BALL watching on the play and only reacted after saborio mishit the ball..

the second goal..need not be explained  and the third..you are 6'7" there was no need for him to jump to challenge the cross...however the entire defence for that play was horrid...

some might say i am harsh but watch over the earlier qualifiers...
el salvador..apart from his errors on the freekicks...he regularly was dragged out of position by the forwards and left a psace behind which usually had to be filled by spann or akile to save face...
Look at the USA goal in the HCS stadium when we win 2-1...

yet somehow his errors continue to slip past many..as if whenever men rating his performance  all the think about is the goal in bahrain..I don't know how people could say he had a better game than dog today..really...

my ratings

ince 6
avery 6.5 - solid for the most..questions must be asked of him for the third goal..but it was an overall defensive problem..
lawrence 4.5 - see above
dog  6 - good return..he is slow but he reads the game just as well as he did in 05
carlos 7.5 -carlos did put in the odd bad ball..but he was our best player tonight...he showed tinto how to get it done on several occasions
spann 7- i giving latas his  due on this..for very long i have felt spann was used int eh wrong postion..he is deep lying midfielder ala pirlo and he finally got his chance to play there and he did well
noel 6 - good hustle and workrate..he should have buried his chances...buh good performance with distributin in the middle
yorke 5.5 -in my opinion as much class as he is..yorke is a liability as much as he is an asset to this team..if i were coach he would be a fringe player at best
tinto 5 - if he gets the jitters out and puts in crosses we may ahve something
scotland 6 - jones played better than scotland today but alot of good plays made by scottie..he was mistaken for kj  6.5 - good game today..but is still far from the deadly striker we need

subs
samuel  6.5 - good goal..buh he was too out of the game..more due to the collapse of our tactics after the third goal
glenn  6 i admit he changed the game..but like samuel he was out of it and was fortunate not to be sent off for a bad tackle
birchall..5 he was the wrong sub today..not his fault but it was not a game he coudl impacted...hyland should have come on instead...

Ey Arazi, I totally agree. It's like you read my mind. Very intelligent and accurate ratings, and great analysis of the game. The best post I've seen so far on the game by miles.

I was as I was watching the match and looked on impressed with how well Marvin was reading the game, it's in stark contrast to any other of our defenders in recent memory. Of course he is a bit slow and made an error that led to a goal, but he was a big positive.

I was also wondering what people was seeing in Avery's defensive performance to give him a 9, he was not as solid as I'd had liked today, but still he was LIGHT YEARS better than Aklie. Not Aklie's fault, he'll be great for us in the future.

Carlos was the best player by a good deal, as he has been in all the previous matches, I hope he gets the time on an EPL team his talent deserves next season.

I also feel that Dwight is now a liability to an extent, as hard as it is to say it, age and lack of high level playing time has caught up with him, but the big advantage he brings is his passing ability, he created a few chances today with good balls. Still, I feel that highland could probably start in front of him.

I agree with what you said about Lawrence to a good extent, I find also that many times his positioning is very suspect, but he has also done very well for us on numerous occasions and has been a great servant of his nation, and we don't really have other options.

Everything you said was spot on ,hit the nail on the head props!!!

Also, I feel Latapy will prove to be a brilliant manager and coach. Big props to him for how he got this team together and got them playing!!!

First things first- the team looked ORGANIZED. That's so good after the time we did with Mats. Latapy did a fine job with the team and management- kudos to him. The team played honourably, and there are many positives we can take. If we play like we did for the 1st half, and fix the defense and some other stuff I mention below, we'll definitely pick up a good many points in the coming games. If we did that from the start we wouldn't be in this position.

We really need more wing play. It should be carlos on the right, colin samuel on the left. when the costa ricans started packing up their goalmouth with players in the 2nd half, we needed wingplay to get behind them, but we didn't have it so we couldn't fashion any chances.

though there are many places to improve, this is the best I've seen the team play since the world cup. the fellas can hold their heads up. Carlos was the best player by far. Our midfielders played well in the first half.

Yorke played ok. silvio spann and trent noel were very good, i was very impressed by them attacking wise- not defensively. We need to pack our box more when the costa ricans are attacking, men need to run back. replace marvin andrews with keyeno thomas.

I think latapy made a mistake taking off all our midfielders in the second half, because we couldn't build play and make chances like before, but overall latapy did a great job putting together this team. The Tinto substitution for samuel was very good though. I have a feeling Latapy will prove to be a top manager.

kenwyne and scotland combined well for good portions of the first half. that looks promising. on another day i think scotland would have scored a few, it just wasn't his day.

About cornell glenn and baptiste, i'm still not sure. we need to see baptiste play in at least a decent international friendly. cornell glenn is and enigma, he's exceptionally fast and skilled, but doesn't play with a great awareness of what's going on around him and his decision making in many instances is questionable. if the team's defence is crowded, he tends to run head on and lose the ball many times, but he's so skilled i'm sure there's some way we can put him in the mix- or maybe not. cornell glenn and kenwyne jones??  looking forward to daryl roberts coming back too.

In the end we have many skilled players, but it's just about finding the best team, and i think latas came damn close to that today.

1) wingplay and crosses into the box- left colin samuel, right carlos edwards
2)I feel highland can replace yorke for the 2nd half of games
3) keon daniel can be used behind the strikers as a playmaker, his freekicks are an added bonus that
4)we need to hussle whichever opposing player has the ball, like we were doing at the start, but for the whole match. this forces errors, like we saw at the start when the costa ricans constanly lost the ball and couldn't build plays

Keep you heads up fellas, you all played honourably( notwithstanding the defensive errors), and the same for you latas- you did honourably. You all just have to play consistently for whole matches and wit better defense like you did for the first 30 minutes of the first half. The fact that I can even draw a reference to our team's actual play as a benchmark, shows the hope that has risen from this performance, or at least segments of it. You couldn't say something like that since the world cup. Thanks in big part to Mr. Jack Warner- he helped Trinidad take 10 steps forwards in doing a plenty to get us to the World cup 06, then eagerly ensured we took 15 backwards with his jacklist and other vindictive and disgusting things since september 2006 up to about somewhere in 2009. 3 years wasted- 3 years of driving in reverse. Comeon Mr. Warner, you don't have to be like that.

Well....4 in de middle.....no defensive midfielder......dog and tallest in de back.....allyuh know de result. I eh feeling to vent like everybody else nah.....all ah we is coaches. How men reach dat level of football and eh know bout marking is amazing to me.
Technically we had three in the middle Yorke Spann and Noel. We played with one winger for the entire game.
The problem with the back 2 right now is Tallest... but who can replace him. It easier to replace dog Nobody show that they can play the front stopper yet. Even Thomas does  play behind Tallest when he play.

Sam: So how did you train the team on a technical aspect.
Latas: I had them train against Tobago United in the same tactics I was using during training. I also try my version on my Play Station 3 FIFA 2008 and T&T won every game, we even beat Brazil in a friendly game, I have no doubt in my mind we can do the same in real life.
Sam I read until I got to this spot and could not for the life of me read any more tonight
 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
oh shit man
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOLOLOLOL, I started reading suspiciously, but it was that exact playstation 3 part that sell it out for me. I stop right there and start laughing.  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I test it out on the ps3 FIFA 2008 and we win every time, we even beat Brazil in a friendly. LOLOLOL :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Brilliant!
Ah love it Sam.

ahh, this is good news. Any quality that can be added to the team is very welcome, especially defense(I'm talking about you J Lloyd Samuel) Thanks to Mr Warner once again for pulling an ace out of his sleave to try and help this ungrateful country's football. Yeah yeah, I dislike him for the blacklist, but have to admit he's done more than anyone else to further our football, even though he occasionally makes it take 5 steps backwards after 3 forwards.

Aye, yuh post is full of contradictions.....yuh like Warner but dislike him for the blacklist.....the country ungrateful because he has done more for football than anyone else but he "occasionally" takes it 5 steps back after taking it 3 steps forward....uuuuummmmm make up yuh mind....

On another but related note, I keep reading forumites posting that getting these guys (Samuel in particular) is good for us.  I'll take their word for it because I've never seen them play.....

lol, i know it sounds contradictory, but i'm just saying, that instead of only looking at the negative(plenty) and demonizing the man, we should look at the many positives also. Yes, even though I said all those things, I still think OVERALL he's done more for our football than anyone else, if you add up all the positives and negatives. You think we would have gotten to germany 06 without Warner? I know people with their hating will say yes, but looking at it objectively it's obviously no. To just mention one thing, Beenhackker big toe wouldn't have set foot on T&T if not for Warner.

I think the PFL should build grounds closer to the teams home fans. These stadiums don't have to be massive structures. For instances, Jabloteh and AIA should be playing their home games in Aranguez. I don't see why they have to play games in Arima. The fans may quicker go to Aranquez than going to Larry Gomes. Is time them east people form a team from Arima/Dabadie to play in Larry gomes. And them central people form a team comprising Couva, Chaguanas, Caroni to play in Ato. I presume Police and Connection does play in the Ramjohn stadium. Petrotrin and South end have theirs. Everybody need to do some serious marketing or else that league will remain stagnant or worse yet, FOLD.

I agree with everything you said there.

Peter,
It make no sense not having not games. Only Mexico, and Elsalvador can play almost anywhere in the US and it is a home game for them.

nah i'm not saying that, i'm just saying that with the "support" the team gets, we have no so called "home advantage." In fact, they probably play better away from home because of this, and Stern confirmed it with his alarming comment. So because of this, we'll would probably do better if all our matches were away- away from the poisonous impact that is our "home support" for the most part. most of the times anyways, not always. hopefully, the game being in Tobago will make a difference. I feel that's a big part of the reason they decided to have the game in Tobago and in the lower capacity Dwight Yorke Stadium.

Diehard Supporters Starting 11 (from de bMobile competition)

                    Ince

Spann    Lawrence   Andrews    John

Edwards  Birchall   Yorke   Daniel

             Scotland  Jones

one of the worst formations I've seen so far imho(no offense cause it ain't yours, but that stupid competition). put carlos at right back, tinto or baptise in his place(can't glenn play right wing too? if so, his speed, skill and physicality will be great), and collin samuel in daniel's place, then it would be good. daniel ain't no winger, but tremendously skillful though, he needs to be in midfield as a playmaker. replace yorke in the 2nd half with him. I remember seeing this tinto feller playing, and wondered why the hell he wasn't on the national team.(though he was a grenadian or something )

                   Ince

Edwards    Lawrence   Andrews    John

Tinto       Birchall   Yorke     Samuel

             Scotland  Jones

#like this one too

---------------------------------Ince

----------------Andrews------Lawrence-----A.John

---Carlos------------Yorke--------------Birchall-----------Samuel

                                           Daniel
----------------------Scotty---------------KJ

hyland on for anybody in mid who playing sub par in 2nd half(prob yorke cause of his age) I feel hyland's play show he deserve a start in the last games, only person i could see him prob start infront of  is birchall, but we need his defensive traits in midfield, so a change of formation and subbing scotty would accommodate hyland in midfield. that could be good also. pack the midfield and try to dominate play. of course that'll require us being able to string passes together and be organised and keep the ball, not too sure how capable we are of that, can't play everyone who's good,no matter how much you want to.

No, they don't owe us shit. You all see the crap we call "support" that goes on in the Hasely Crawford Stadium?

I think the team would be more successful if they had no home matches, and all were away. I remember hearing Stern(yes, the intensely loyal and patriotic Stern that these "deserving" supporters lambaste and deride at every opportunity) say in an interview that they play better away than at home, and all I could do was shake my head in shame.

Very good and relevant topic though, I think many have something to prove as I think about it. Much more than usual.

To mention just two:

1) Kenwyne Jones: would want to show why he plays in the best league and show that he is a top striker, which obviously means that he should be dominant in this Concacaf region. He's also gotten back into decent form nearing the end of the EPL season.

2.) Carlos Edwards: Wants to stay in the EPL, so would want to show Sunderland that they should take another look at him and think twice before letting him out the door in their planned clear out. That damn ungrateful shit-side might want to let the man go after he brought them up from the championship, and just had misfortune with injury derail his prem impact. He's better than almost all the players on that shit side.
