maybe so but why he dont bring that knowledge home

I think he is itching to come home man. . . .But would you rush to come into a footballing situation the like of T&T right now???

After a few years after retirement I believe he will prove himself in Portugal and/or Scotland first then take the reins of T&T football.

Maybe it is just wishful thinking but I can see a scenario like this panning out ;D :D ;D :D

"I'm having fun. The team gets the ball down and likes to pass it. The reality is that's the only way I could play. I couldn't be in a team which plays down the channels because I don't have the legs to begin with and, in my head, I have never seen football that way."

Yes he will be a great coach. . .

1. He is not full of himself; he is very concerned about others doing well. . .Great leader

2. Visionary. . . maintains a birds eye view of the entire pitch, complete with certain plays in his head

Ah think he will make a great coach. . .

This is surely one of those situations of "nothing before its time".

Remember back when we were bemoaning the fact that none of the guys were getting new contracts as a result of the World Cup? Now it seems a flurry of contracts and opportunities have come about for TnT players.

Everything in its own timing.

Well said red ;D

Football / Re: Super Shaka.
« on: February 15, 2007, 08:37:42 PM »
In another post I predicted that Shaka would have interest (after retirement) to help with the players union. I really think he is the right man. His level head, his heart being in the right place, and his father being an attorney.

I stand pleasantly amazed at Shaka's frequent allusion to Trinidad and Tobago. His being at Germany as a Trinboganion was more important to him than actually featuring as #1 keeper. His high respect for the likes of Ross Russell etc--just great.

The ultimate gentleman and ambassador of T&T football.

Ah feel Shaka go revamp the player's union and make this his contribution after his playing days. His father is an attorney and he himself is committed to the welfare of T&T football.

Americans like these are blinded by their arrogance. To reply to them is to acknowledge them. Ah mean, it is one thing to speculate that the beautiful game might struggle to really take off in the U.S. It is another thing to compare it to something for the toilet. Pure arrogance. No wonder Americans are not well liked in other parts of the globe.

C'mon Samuel we pulling fuh yuh. Study yourself, identify what's causing the inconsistency, develop a plan to combat the obsticles, execute the plan, be patient with yourself, improve one aspect of your game over the next two games, and consistency will come. T&T could use your youth, experience, pace, and talent in 2010.

I am a man who don't like to criticize Bennie man. But all I have to say as a fan of T&T football is he really made a BAD move in depriving a nation and an individual (Latapy himself) of the special and unique phenomenon that he is to really shine on the world's greatest footballing stage. Before allyuh cuss meh, I am aware that hindsight is 20/20. All I am saying is I can feel the pain of LOSS in knowing what Latapy is capable of and that he was not utilized appropriately. . .

23. Under former T&T coach Ian Porterfield, T&T sabotaged Canada in the 2001 world cup qualifiers. Were you surprised? Anything you would like to share with us on those victories?
SH: Game 1 was very interesting as I felt Canada played the better game, but two great goals gave T&T the victory, away from home which is never easy. Game 2 was another story from the opening whistle, one Canada will rather forget

Calling Warrior Nation officials.....Look, I don't think we can afford to wait for the federation to help make the HC Stadium an intimidating environment for opponents. . . .maybe the Warrior Nation could look into a strategy to organize a fan base to implement that environment

« on: September 19, 2006, 08:24:51 AM »
Stern,

Congratulations on a prolific career in national land international football. You've made a nation proud.

Something tells me we haven't seen the last of you yet inspite of all your accomplishments on the global stage.

Question: To what would you attribute your failure to explode at the EPL level with Birmingham? There is no question about your proven abilities. Would your injury sustained while at Forest have contributed to a tentative approach? Was it a lack of quality service? Thanks! Blessings for the future.

Edwards was one of the best players in the world cup period!

Certainly captain material for all I can tell

Not to be negative eh, but some would even suggest that our reaching the FIFA World Cup Finals 2006 was a Fluke to the tune of a godfather and a back door pass.

Are you part of the "some"?

I am a believer in using ALL your abilities and strengths and assets. I am not privy to any "help" that may have been in our favour. But what I saw was the boys do the job on the field. 90 minutes, one game at a time, within the same rules of the other teams. So to answer your question, No I am not one of them.

Not to be negative eh, but some would even suggest that our reaching the FIFA World Cup Finals 2006 was a Fluke to the tune of a godfather and a back door pass. I am of the opinion that unless the powers that be in T&T football start thinking like winners and believing in their own abilities, we will always be content with a cameo. I keep watching the three world cup games we played. And I must admit I am aching to see our boys play a more free, attacking football with disciplined defence. But yeah the Administration ohhh that Administration boy. . .  .

Good post  :applause: :applause: :applause:

Thanks Che!
