Football / Re: Corneal against sacrificing young players.
« on: February 14, 2012, 06:45:53 PM »
Mr Seeker, may I call you Mr Seeker? Sir, I would would like to offer my congratulations on a post of immaculate proportions  ;D. Dam good son. You have made more sense than anything coming out from Mr Anton "Just another puppet" Corneal mouth. Brilliant. All I want to know is where all the world cup money gone, where the money for the 2006 players gone and why has no one questioned the former president of the organization? He ran the TTFF for so long and no has nothing to ask him and he has nothing to say? Eh?  >:( As far as I'm concerned, the accounts of EVERYONE who worked for that organization from 2000 to now should be audited. Heck, we might have to go even further back...lol. Milky was here.

Wait one jumping jack minute. That's the best excuse the TTFF can come up with? We have phone, Facebook, Twitter, email, SMS, GPS, UPS, BBM, MSN, Yahoo, sign language, Morse  code and even pigeon mail! Any you telling me, these people excuse is that they couldn't contact him? Really? REALLY!!!!!!! :pissedoff: We live in the information age for crying out loud!! The TTFF should know his pants size far less how to contact him.
And why are they even trying to contact him through the phone or his coach? All of them should have jumped in their fancy cars, with their fancy suits and gone to the hospital or his home!! What madness is this? Heartless is what they are  >:( Milky was here.

Football / Everald "Gally" Cummings Thread
« on: January 16, 2012, 08:59:46 PM »
After the ridiculous appointment of Mr Anton Corneal as Technical Director of the soca warriors, and the petition to fire those puppets of the TTFF executive committee on this forum, its obvious that we need qualified, experienced individuals, who actually love football and honestly want to take our game to a world class level. People who can bring our football back from the abyss. With that said, I would like to nominate Mr Everald 'Gally' Cummings  ;D as the first member of the NEW executive. Please give your comments on who else your would like to see replace the traffic cones we now have!!

Thank you, THANK YOU Mr Cummings!!! After all this time you seem to be one of the few football brains in this entire country that talks any sense. I don't know why you don't play a greater role in the football fraternity of this country but I think I've recognized its all about friend and family thing and not about hard work and dedication to the sport. These people don't care about football. The don't love the game. They love what they get from it. Money, power and prestige!

Words cannot express my utter horror and disgust  :pissedoff: at this appointment. Anton Corneal?..really..REALLY :frustrated:!! Some say give him a chance. What they fail to realize is that at this level, you don't experiment with a position like this. Remember Latapy? A TD is a person who is battle tested with the knowledge, experience and credentials that proves he is a proper candidate.
If anyone compares Mr Corneal's resume next to Mr Pfister's, they would certainly question how in the world was he (Corneal) even considered for the position.
On behalf of the real football fans of this country I would like to apologize to Mr Pfister. I am sorry Sir, that you were not given any time whatsoever to do your job properly. I am sorry that you had to deal with the total garbage of a disorganized organization called the TTFF who, instead of keeping you here to learn from your vast experience on many levels in the world game, instead has hired someone with next to nothing experience, who might I add, has never won anything at club or national level.
How quickly we forget that every campaign that Mr Corneal has been in charge or a part of (U17 world cup anyone?) has been total failure. Yet we reward him with the highest national post in the sport? I have no doubt that a few years down the road, Mr Corneal will have acquired the necessary qualities that will make him a viable candidate. But certainly not now!!! Not in our darkest hour!!!
This appointment proves without a doubt, that T&T football died with the 2006 world cup team and that the TTFF executive are just a bunch of puppets that need to be removed. God help us all. Strike Squad FOREVER! Milky was here.

This petition should have started the day those bastards decided to screw over the 2006 world cup team.

Football / Re: Pfister knocks Pro League
« on: November 17, 2011, 07:52:42 PM »
You know, when I listen to some who say 'Fire Pfister!', its no surprise why our football is in such a mess. Here is a man with incredible experience in the world of football, in opinion more than any coach, administrator or football fan in this country. He speaks plain and tells it exactly how it is. But instead of being slow to speak and quick to listen closely to his honest assessment of our dire situation, we quick to go on the defensive. The pro league is crap! Full stop! Anyone who believes otherwise is a delusional fool. We need to take a serious lesson from the Americans who (and may I remind you this is a country that don't even like football that much) have built a respectable professional football league from scratch, that gets better ever year. MLS teams are now being invited to pre season tournaments in Europe. But of course this is only a small part of our problem. We better pray, that good bloody sense prevail and they decide to keep Pfister and he decide to stay so he can train not only the young players, but the young coaches as well. What are we going to do? Get another foreign coach with his experience? Hard to come by! Hire another local coach? Not good enough! Let no experience, no qualifications, never win nothing with nobody, only have that job because of his father Anton Corneal run the team? God help us all :frustrated:. Milky was here.

Football / Fire the TTFF Executive Thread
« on: November 14, 2011, 09:47:34 PM »
It is time for a cleansing. A serious Sena pod session. How many times will we change coaches, players, trainers and like and not realize they are not the real problem. My brothers and sisters, we must put an end to foolish people, who sit behind desks in fancy, expensive suits..making stupid, incompetent decisions. These leaches have no LOVE for the beautiful game. There focus is not the improvement of the sport but to suck it dry of its resources and line their own pockets. They have treated our players and coaches unfairly and played us all for fools. From the players blacklist, to the Germany 2006 debacle to our current unfortunate situation, it is clear that they don't know, and don't care about the way forward for the team and the game we LOVE! Warrior nation UNITE! and take back our football from these ingrates! Strike Squad forever! Milky was here. :yellowcard:

Football / If You Fail To Prepare......
« on: November 11, 2011, 08:53:12 PM »
I'm sure you can finish that sentence. Unfortunately, the message of this old adage seems to be completely lost on our good friends at the TTFF and the Ministry of Sport. Now, there are a hundred plus one things wrong with Trinidad and Tobago football. We could talk all kinda thing for days, weeks, months. From a recently retired "tired" waste of space TTFF president to the indifferent "sports not important attitude" of governments of the past and present to an unprofessional professional football league that has no idea how to market and promote itself. We have hit dirt, not rock, but dirt bottom. From being out of the World Cup, to Uncle Jack's boot from world football( which many people may see as a good thing - no judgement here) to not on single pro league team qualifying for the Concacaf Champions League. Pressure! But I have a saying.."If you don't take something seriously, don't expect to beat someone who does! Didn't the Soca Warriors not play a match together for over a year? Seriously? Didn't Otto Pfister have just one single practice game before the start of this doomed campaign...against INDIA? Seriously? Don't we expect to plant corn and get mango (or something like that....lol)? Seriously? Hopefully, the travesty of not qualifying for which I'm sure will be one of the best World Cups every will be a Resurrection for Trinidad football. Yea it hurts, it will for a while. But lets not let this bitter lesson go to waste. Oh yea, just so you know..I think everyone in the TTFF should be fired. NO JOKE >:(. Milky was here.

Its about time we got a clean sheet. When we play teams like Haiti and Guyana...this is the sort of victory I not only expect but demand. There is still a lot of work to do in defense and the team as a whole so I would not get too excited. As far as I'm concerned, those were three practice games. I expect Trinidad to win the Digicel Cup when the tournament is over. Anything less is a failure and Latapy should be fired.

Woman's football in T&T is amateur at best. I'm sorry ladies but you guys are light years behind. There a many nations who take this sport we call football seriously. T&T does not. So don't expect to beat anyone who does. Fact.

Oh my friend. I forgive you for your complete shortsightedness. You all excited about the tournament and fail to realize what really going on here. You don't seem to understand the extent to which the L.O.C was unprepared. You ain't hear no one complaining you say. Do you even watch the news or read the newspapers. Apparently not. Have you been to any of the games and seen how bad some of the fields are? Do you have any idea how bad a pitch has to be to get a grade C? Have you seen the state some of those recently built stadiums are in? I watch the Brazil vs Ireland game in the Larry Gomes and the when the announcer trying to talk, the P.A. system keep cutting off and on, off and on.It sounded like someone was drowning. You,the T.T.F.F, and the L.O.C. all in the same boat cause all of you don't seem to understand that when you are hosting an F.I.F.A tournament, you have to do it by F.I.F.A's standards.Poor excuses like having a last minute "CULTURE" is unacceptable. And you are right, we have hosted a tournament before, that's why its even more embarrassing that we looking as if we don't know what we are doing. Like Kelvin Jack said, Trinidad football is amateur and disorganized. No wonder Jack Warner say he is done with with Trinidad football hosting F.I.F.A tournaments. Or haven't you heard that too?

Football / Re: Latapy must GO!!!
« on: September 12, 2010, 10:05:43 AM »
Latapy has had enough time to prove himself and he has not done so.It IS time for him go. He has shown his inexperience as a head coach and we can no longer continue with him. We need someone with a mountain of experience to completely overhaul the national team.We have hit rock bottom and if we want to do well in the Digicel Caribbean Cup and qualify for the gold and world cups, action must be taken now!!!
But that is not all. Our administration is extremely poor. The TTFF itself needs restructuring and we need to get people who can run this organization like they actually love the game and have some sense. Much more needs to be done but lets start with that.

Oh Kelvin Jack...you took the words right out of my mouth. T&T football in a MESS! TTFF, Ministry of sport and the LOC...rubbish! I mean seriously, who are these people? You trying to tell me, one week before the start of a Fifa world cup, everything still not in place? The pitches getting grade C and the stadiums not ready? How embarassing. And this woman (Nataki Kerr), sitting down at an official press conference with the Fifa representative present and saying the reason is because Trinis have a last minute culture. What!? This Tournament was given years in advance. YEARS!!!! How embarrassing! And Mr President of the TTFF have nothing to say on the matter? It's time to get rid of all these jokers!!!! They do not respect, appreciate of LOVE this game we call football!!

Football / Where are the warriors?
« on: April 02, 2009, 05:44:18 PM »
The most astonishing thing about the warriors defeat to the U.S.was not the 3-0 scoreline, but in fact just how bad we played.Coach Maturana showed some initiative by playing an attacking 4-4-2 system, a departure from the comforts of his beloved 4-5-1.But that is where the good ends and the bad begins. Kenwyne Jones, who is obviously suffering from a slump in form, was on top with the evergreen Stern John. Unfortunately, these two were basically left dead in the water by an almost non existent midfield and non existent defense. They had no quality balls to look forward to except the occasional cross from Carlos Edwards.
Chris Birchall was a welcome return to the side along with Clayton Ince, which was a little boost to the team prior to kickoff. Birchall however, could not play his regular "ball winner" role since he had to basically act as a fifth defender due to criminal defending by the back four. The full backs especially were completely destroyed on the flanks which gave the U.S. a constant avenue of attack. Carlos Edwards was again a bright light in a very dark place. He WAS the midfield, and looked to be the one to perhaps give some potency to a dull T&T attack.Apart from the free kick he took, Keon Daniel was missing in action. This young man is a bundle of talent but like all the young players on the team, needs to seriously raise his game. Some of the young ones don't seem to have the hunger, desire or mental toughness for Victory. The technical staff should look in to this.
One young player who seems to be stepping up is Khaleem Hyland. The game definitely changed when he entered, even giving Kenwyne Jones an opportunity to score inside the box.Jason Scotland was eventually brought in, but by then the damage was done.He is a player that should be starting every game.I think he is terribly underutilized and does not get his just due. That being said without a good supporting midfield and at least a half decent defense, any striker is going to struggle on this team.We cannot expect Yorke and Latapy to always come to our rescue. We must develop the abundance of talent we have especially in that crucial center midfield role. The U.S,in my humble opinion, is not 3 goals better than us.It is an embarrassment to let a 19 year old kid score a hatrick on your team.We better than that.On the bright side,we are only two points from a world cup spot.Glass half full. GO
