Normally I does be more in Jack corner than most on these forums and I does get plenty stick for it..But this is complete nonsense..Jack realise the waggonist will come out for that game cos it will be a crucial one and decide to apply the law of economics ...
But what about men like me who going EVERY game and supporting the team right through?  Why we have to suffer and pay 300 ??? Why TTFF doh have no preferred supporters discount card or something ??
Nah I find this price increase is wickedness and I for one will be watching the game on tv. BOYCOTT.

Thanks very much Mackie for staying at home. I am hoping many more like yourself will follow your lead and leave football for people who could afford it. Todays footballers cant live on kfc support. For football to rise we must attract caviar supporters. Buy you box of KFC and enjoy the game on the tube. I hope you told weary about the LATEST PRICE INCREASE.

I can afford to go , I am making a choice not to.. Its a principled stand dude..

Mackie...I could ask yuh something?

1)You living in TT or are you foreign based?

2)Do you go to TT football games regularly, if atall?

Nuttin personal just curious.

Ha lawd ... Read my earlier posts. Nuttin personal..

If allyuh boycott Jack will say Trinis unpatriotic.

BOYCOTT who say Channel C !!!

AJW does want TOO big of a match fee from dem BIG teams when we play them

The problem with T&T football is that there is not much real fan support, hence no real atmosphere at friendly games. When was the last time you saw a 25K crowd for a friendly game in POS? For intance, if Ja were to play T&T tomorrow in the Hasely Crawford stadium, would you even get a 5000 people showing up? Such a game in Jamaica is looking at a minimum 20K crowd, and if propely marketed, with top players involved would definately sell out the national stadium. That could easily pay each team US$100K. When Jamaica played Costa Rica in a friendly game recently on simoes return to coach us, there was 28,000 people in the stadium. Costa Rica would preffer that sort of atmosphere over playing infront of 500 people in Marabella.

Against England.. Alsp nobody will want to come see us play the same tired firendlies against grenada or the new flavour , the under 20's

a friendly match against Endgland will full any stadium in the world.

my point exactly quality friendlies will bring a crowd. When we play Panama just before the world cup the stadium was full too cos of the posituve buzz about out newly qualified team.

This is kix...lol. See what Carlos missing out on by being on the bench? Cause locally the girls rank him higher than Kenwyne.

in Trinidad de red man is King...

in England they like de special dark

in Trinidad de red man is King because we still have many aspects of mental slavery to conquer, i.e. the closer to to european you look=the better looking you are. I see many light skin peeps(male and female) who aren't even really good looking, and people fall all over them, but we all know if they were dark skinned with their same features, people wouldn't be on them- so basically lighter skin makes up for lacking looks, gives you a healthy percentage increase on the looks scale.

Other parts of the world like England(though those bitches started slavery in the first place and thus all these problems ), are much more progressed than TnT in recovery from mental slavery, so good features, build, etc. = being good looking, and having lighter skin doesn't amplify those in everyone's eyes. Of course many people still have a preference for people in their race(not talking bout racism here), but that's a whole other story n i don't see any prob with that. Also,I'm what we call a 'redman' btw.

I find the extent to which skin complexion is equated with looks in TnT is shit, and some damn deeprooted mental slavery.(and present in most cultures, from indians, africans, asians, etc, and is mainly stems from the europeans' murderous colonisation of the world, and asserting themselves as the aurthority for so long as we all know, it's up to us to reject and fix the mental falloff of this).........Rant over.

tell us how you really feel , peter , dont hold back ... sheesh.

TALK DONE!!!!

EXACTLY!!

BOYCOTT BOYCOTT lessen the demand and teach jack a lesson , come on people...Yall cant have balls for just one match ????
You all still feel JW depends on how much people attend a game to survive,i have been hearing this BOYCOTT talk for years, even peeps on here wanted to wear black shirts to support the blacklisted players, these things just don't work in our country, the instigators are usually the first ones to back out.

nah you dont know me hoss, i NOT going.. at least he wont get my 300.

41
BOYCOTT BOYCOTT lessen the demand and teach jack a lesson , come on people...Yall cant have balls for just one match ????

42
It real hurting me to pay 300.

But I going...why?

Cause that is the highest level of football I could witness in TT live and it is my national team playing the Mighty Concacaf Giants USA in a World Cup Qualifier in the HCS.

I go make the sacrifice and cut back on something else during the month.

I go not feel right knowing a game is going on and I home.

So jack and dem will ketch me a 300.

But...when we beat honduras the Saturday 1-0.

Stadium going and RAM OUT with waggonists!!

In addition...for paying a higher price...I expect a better performance from them fellas in the Red, Black and White. The bad pass and trotting back that woulda slide for 200...not going and slide for 300. Even though it should not occur even for free.

Also I looking at it like this...$300.

Gates opening 4:30 match finishing 10:30....dais 6 hrs.

$300/6hrs = $50 per hr.

Every hr I not in the stadium is 50$ wasting. So I going early...and enjoy mehself!

Also when yuh factor in parking, drinks and food...is about $500-600 this outing costing me.

Is it really worth it?.....but, that is the price of being a T&T fan.

Watch it on tv !!! Jack need to learn that we as football fans have limits!! This is outright exploitation !

43
allyuh, i went online and ordered tix jus in case nah. my order number is 7738 or something like dat. dat mean 7738 tickets ordered already? ???

It really strange cos side like Brazil does always warm up for world cup by beating small side like New zealand and ting.. Who knows maybe we not marketing ourself enough ?

46
I believe that this is the arrangement with respect to the use of the stadium.

Remember some time ago that a tiered pricing scheme will be used for games now?

USA by their ranking is in the top tier and as a result will cost more to see that game.

I doh like the pricing either but i am not surprised based on events past. If somebody wants to search for the thread they can.

But that makes perfect sense from a business perspective.  Would people expect a game against Costa Rica and a game against Brazil to cost the same?

so when did this come into effect , this price scheme? Cos the game against the states last year in the semi-final round  didnt cost more... ???

47

Leave Latapy alone
By Andre Baptiste (T&T Guardian)

A3. Dwight Yorke should only be utilise at the start of a match and never as a super substitute. His age and fitness dictate that his role in the team is now limited. To use him any other way is not fair on him or the team. If Yorke continues to find difficulty to play regularly, his appearance should be equally limited.

5. Cornell Glen should automatically be first choice. He is a better choice than Kenwyne Jones or Jason Scotland.
6. Jason Scotland should not be used until he learns to play the role he was selected for against El Salvador. He appeared out of sync with the team policy and plan. Kerry Baptiste is a much better option.

For the very same reason the writer mentioned , Yorke should ONLY be used as a super sub. Why have him start a game and have to haul him off after 20 mins? By using him as a sub . Latas can then decide IF the game situation warrants Yorke's remaning footballing assets which are composure and leadership.

Cornell should be picked on merit same as anyone else. Not too long ago Scotland was actually the striker looking sharpest in red white and black. How quickly we forget.

49
Well i will start the thread by saying that Kenwyne Jones has an awful first touch . He needs to work on that for real!!! A team is only as good as the players , so fellas point out the weaknesses in these men game, maybe some of them actually take on the forum and will try to change !
For you older heads we could even get historical, tell us about men in the past who put on the red black and white jersey , but had obvious flaws in their game too!

Respect Mackie.

But I find that wrong side. The TTFF shouldnt be waiting for no budget from the government. They should be proactive and provide the transparency that tax payer dollars demand. All sports associations provide a budget to the Ministry of Sport every year and are funded by the the SPORTT company. So why the TTFF can't follow suit.

The easiest way to hurt Jack is hit him in de pocket. the whole Ticket or leave it fiasco and de fan campaign and protestations hurt him bad... real bad. When dey doing sh!t, we as fans have to keep the pressure on them... write letters to the press, call on radio etc. that is de only power we have.

But people not always on board... they call for boycott of the England game last year, but nah we have to see dem big stars, beckham and lampard etc... so they call for everybody to wear black t-shirt in protest and solidarity with the blacklisted players. I couldn't go but I wear meh black shirt and watch de game in a bar. Me and meh partner was the only one out of a whole set of forumites who was they to wear black.
Meanwhile yuh barely seeing black in de stadium.

T&T is not a real football loving country, just because a handful of we here is die-hards.

Big Mag say we don't deserve Latapy, he right. We also don't deserve Zamora and Samuel, we don't deserve Stern, we didn't deserve Beenie and we didn't deserve the World Cup.

One thing we deserve though is Jack Warner, through our collective apathy. When good men do nothing, evil does prevail.

I know my proposal wrong side , I just cant see any other way to get TTFF independent of Jack.. And is football that suffering . I guess things will never change in truth.. Respect FF  :beermug:

Mackie... it ent have no way Ollie and dem leaving Jack or Jack allowing dem to leave.
You feel people just come on the scene? You know how much time people try to stand up to Jack and overthrow the admin... Donkey years now... Jack and company had the TTFF constitution changed in the '80's to deal with that. You doesnt even know when TTFF elections holding... you does find out after de fact.

Endless times the ministry of sport say dey withholding money until they get a budget, or they try to play hardball, but at de end of the day Jack does just ignore them and wait until the last minute and bawl the TTFF broken and de government against football... den now de ministry does break down and put more money.

Yet de maths does never add up.

People real jaded after years and years of corruption and mismanagement... thais why we quick to cuss and carry on... is the trini ting to do.... right now people just waiting for Jack to dead, or get bored with football and stick to politics.

FF , respect to the post you sent ... I read the article. I agree that having the TTFF in Jack pocket isnt whats best and that Jack has had some strange financial dealings..
But that isnt my point FF . I saying let the govt give the TTFF the money based o an audited set of Costs and Expenses per project as needed. TTFF Want to organise a European Tour and they say they have no money ? Give them the money based on a plan that the Ministry of Sport has come up with with input from other football afficionados BESIDES Jack. And then sit back and either watch them ship up or self destruct. The Govt alternates between hard ball and giving in but not giving enough...What I am offering is a third solution.. How else we going to get TTFF independent if they always indebted to Jack?? But I respect your post and in most ways i agree with it. But it was never my point.

What you guys not realising to is that these guys coming on board with us LAST in the group and on 2 POINTS... They could look at the situation and just not bother at all but they coming.. Everybody have selfish interests , even we as fans.. So doh dog the men , if they could contribute to us qualifying and they have trini blood POWER to them.

Come on Trinis! Why these men owe us an apology? If this was Jamaica, Barbados or El Salvador things would be different. The Jamaicans would be saying send more Brits and nobody would have a problem with it. The Salvadorians would be saying send more Gringos and nobody would have a problem.

From what I know, Samuel never said 'NO' to us. Yes, Zamora did said NO at  first, but give de man a chance to redeem he self. If he come over hear and mess he pants, then we can send he home packing. Otherwise, stay quiet and just suck it in for now.

I hearing too much complaining about this when we focus should be qualifying.  >:(

I agree once a man have Trini blood in him he is ah Trini even if he deny it like them fellas for a while . They come like prodigal sons who finally coming home ..

Football / Re: Seniors to face U-20s again.

Mackie,
The problem with football is that Jack and TTFF is one and the same. There is no transparency in that organization. Like Trin asked, how can we tell TTFF money from Jack money. He can come up with any arbitrary number. He can say the TTFF is 25 mil in the red and that he has to pawn the COE to bail it out. How do we know that is true or not? That has been Jack's modus operandi for over 25 yrs.

The gov't gives plenty money to the TTFF, but not in a timely manner. There is a reason for that. They have questions about his books and he refuses to show it, so they in turn refuse to give money. All other association show their books to the gov't with some kind of plan for the year, but Jack/TTFF want an open check book. That would not work with the gov't.

The gov't cannot force him out or insist on certain policies. FIFA will suspend us from international football. But lets be honest it is very difficult now to seprate Jack the FIFA VP from Jack the TTFF, from Jack the politician. Talking about conflict of interest.

Honestly Mackie, don't raise your blood pressure about the comments.

I read over your post and I am on the verge of conceding...Perhaps you are right and Jack and TTFF are too intertwined at this point...But I refuse to give up.. Is it that Ollie Camps et al really want to be under the thumb of Jack and allow him to call the shots , or would they shift allegiances if another benefactor (GOVERNMENT) "signs" up to the cause?
In the case of the 150,000 for the friendly , that is any kind of money ? How you paying the airfare , hotel bookings , advertising etc out of that ?I sure Russell done spend that on the live in camp already..Or even his salary lol.. be real man the Gvernment so far is hedging its bets.. Why doesnt Gary Hunt sit down with the TTFF and say this is the plan we drew up in terms of COSTS for a european tour.. We will sponsor take it or leave it??
Why continue to play hard ball with the TTFF/Jack since it goes nowhere. I find yall sounding like all we could do is throw our hands in the air and say jack jack jack.

nah Weary..me eh want no personal apology...the country and the hardcore fans that bleed and cry for this team every second of every day... they need one...

yall have to remember at the point in time Trinidad had never qualified for a WC. Them Fellas had better credentials than Birchall in terms of hoping to make the England team ( which is after all where they grow up) so that is why they wait. Tell me that none of yall woulda do the same thing if your parents was trini but you grow up in St Lucia and was a real good footballer. Tell me you wouldnt a wait to see if Trinidad woulda call you up ...
Yall jokey yes.
