We just missed a bunch of opportunities. We are going to pay for not bringing in a veteran like Yaya.

TT 0 - 1 Guy

Yep

Allyuh really think that the 13 we put pass TCS was a sign we okay. Man, this women team playing real bad. This is become a repeat of the men's campaign.

according to the stats we have no shots on target

We had 2. Both right in front of the goal. Just a tap in.

Bad call by Jones. For a game like this, BRING IN YUH VETERAN. Yaya would have been playing in front of she home crowd in Bacolet. Yuh dunno she would of light up the goal..

Yuh start already   ;D

Haha. Yuh already know. This team did not convince me. I knew the 2 -0 score against Dominica was a sign we in trouble.

I've been watching the game from the first 10mins. And I watch how Guyana grown into the game. Since their goal, their confidence has increased two-fold.

Haiti beat BVI 21-0 ?

More goals were scored. The match officials lost count, and they only put down what they remember.

I say a 10goal + performance against Turks will do the trick.

Guyana 0 - 0 Nicaragua

Guyana coming with an all out attack on Tuesday. Mr Jones, don't mess this one up. We have faith in you.

Discussion can be had about the quality of the league, but the quality and variety of the goals are a different kettle of fish. The opening goal of the recent hattrick was of especial quality and intelligence.

 :applause:

I agree.

Will leaving her off the WNT come back to haunt us? I think that WNT will need her services.

I asked him yesterday if he's a 400m runner now - he said "no, but I'll still dabble in it."

Yeah and the question to you AB is, what event does he have a better chance at medalling in? I think that will determine what he does. He cant do the 200 and 400 at the same time.

Am I wrong to suggest that Jareem needs to put on a little more muscle. Seeing that he is doubling in the 200 and 400.Correct me if I am wrong.

Possibly. Depends where. Remember when Richard Thompson dropped the weight. It ended up working against him. I think the training program and tailoring to the athlete is key. If Jereem training program requires more strength, then yes more muscle might be needed.

Here we go again. Playing the Guyanas and Babardoes'. If we playing the Caribbean teams, we should be focusing on Haiti, Curacao, Suriname and Jamaica.

Jerod is 23. His junior career did not begin the best. But he has improved in the last 1.5 years.

That 60m was a photo finish. Jacob just edged Coleman. Both had the same time.

Kambungi ate up the field in the women's 60m. 4th fastest time in history. Michelle 7th.

Way to go Jereem. Gold in the 400m at the world indoor championships. Very historic and emotional win. Not only did he get Gold, he also got the Championship record, a personal record and a national record. It was only fitting that he broke Lendore's national record at the same time. He paid tribute to Lendore, who would have been running alongside him. Congratulations Jereem

Has she ever had so much success anywhere or possibly such an easier league ?  It's like 1 other strong team, and they both win by 3 goals or more and as much as 8 + in many of their matches. Glad Yaya is getting the recognition doh, yet the competition seems a little weak, no ?

Competition is uneven, but credit to her because she is being much more than a passenger. She's doing what they acquired her to do at a club that always has lofty expectations. The bottom line here is that YaYa is an ambassador for T&T precisely at the unfortunate moment that the NT does not get the benefit of her participation. This contract - coming at this stage of her career - was not expected. And, despite the uneveness and, the evidence that she could deliver in a more competitive environment.

I like what it offers her as a platform for extending her career.

Based on how the WNT struggled to beat Dominica convincingly, Yaya go get a call come May.

Serrant is still young. She has a bright future. If she can get a few things fine tuned, she can be a threat.

There are about 3 Canadian girls missing. 2 play in league 1 and another in NCAA. I forget their names. I believe they played u20 years ago.

I watched the match.. Let's face it. The team struggled. Dominica should have taken at least 5 from us. The feeling I have after watching the game is similar to the same feeling I had after watching the men's team tie PR last year. Serrant miss 2 good chances.

What I seen so far is reminiscent of the men's campaign. Jones and Edwards better work on something. I called it when we tied PR. I hope things change because Guyana got a lot of foreign born who looked better than us.. just saying.

Swift is currently our best player. James too. Serrant overrated or too relied on. But has the potential to get more goals. Similar to Yaya. Who want to bet they go call Yaya for the Guyana game.

Despite my comments, they should beat Guyana. However the indicator to me will be at least 8 goals to Turks. If that doesn't happen, we will be in for a fight with Guyana.

Was watching the New Balance meet yesterday. The commentator gave a shout out to Deon Lendore and acknowledge his untimely passing.

Btw. .
Jereem ran a pb in the 400m indoor. He looks very good for an indoor medal in the 400m. Now third on the world top list for the 400m.

RIP. This one is a tough one. I've been following him since he was 16 or so in Carifta. I watched him grow and improve throughout the years. He recently got back into good form and was back to regular training.

RIP Deon. Your bronze medal run in the 2012 Olympics made us as a nation proud.

Trini _2026, I relate to your saying "5 of Caribbean heritage". Please, however, help me to understand the significance of your statement that "8  players were black".  ??? ???

Anbrat, I don't understand. Of the 8 Black players on the team, 5 were of Caribbean descent.
Deeks, I saw and supported a Canadian team of eleven (11) on field players, the substitute bench, coach and other technical staff, all gelling harmoniously to provide a winning performance. The racial composition of the team never entered my mind hence my reaching out in an attempt to understand the significance/relevance of the comment that "8  players were black".

Canada has a history of excluding the "Black"players from the MNT program. The past controllers of Canadian Soccer has always tried to manage the number of black players coming into the team. This is the first wcq campaign where the 7 sometimes 8 of the starters are of Caribbean/African extraction.
With that being said, the non black players on the team are the creme of the crop and just as SOLID. . Johnston, Eustaqio and Borjan and Vitorio.. Boss players.

Overall 5 to 6 are JA descent. 2 Haitian descent. 1 TT descent (Atiba) Who probably could have gotten man of the match if Larin didnt score 2.

JA would have at least gotten a point if they had their  players from the Gold cup. I think 6 key guys were missing, including Leon Bailey.

Since yesterday loss, they calling for Tappa head. Not an unusual reaction..

I picking these teams to go through:

MEX
USA
CAN

These teams will fight for .5 spot:

CR
HON
PAN
SAL

Jamaica has 3 of their home games at the end of the campaign. Meaning they will need to have at least 10 to 11 points before their final 3 home games to have a chance of fighting for that .5 spot.

Don't give that guy your energy Deeks.

I just watched JA lose to Panama. Jamaica was missing many of their English boys. This tells me the depth of their pool is working against them. 3 - 0 loss at home is a hard one to swallow.

Like nobody notice U-20 T&F going on in Nairobi. Just by chance flicking thru the channels that I got it on nbcsports. They are about 8 hrs ahead. A 17 year old JA won the women's 100 in fine style. 11.08. A Namibian yuteman won the men 100. A Grenadian and a Cuban were the Caribbean rep, I think the Cuban came in 3rd. That's all folks.

Namibia coming up. I just watch the 19 year old take down Shericka.

Can anyone tell me when this Normalization Committee term is up?
Apparently they can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Now that they are concentrating on the ladies senior team for a tournament in November, our men will not be playing a SINGLE game during this international break. Our U14's couldn't get a run out in the CFU tournament. Vax or no vax, no information or timeline to resume local football  This is just shameful.

I don't know. But I do know is time for dem to go.

Not sure if this is true, but when they leave, they hand over the governance to someone only they can choose. In other words when they find that person, they leave that person to run the show. This can be the road of return for Mr you know who. . DJW.

In training is probably the worst place to sustain a recurring injury.

Time to think carefully about the future.

At 31 years of age, a recurring injury like this may be a sign that it is time to hutb (Hang up the boots). I doubt any team in the MLS will be interested after the latest blow to him. Speedy recovery. I hope it isnt as bad as it is. Maybe he can work towards an early return for June 2022.
