I know how the players are feeling, they feel betrayed by the Administration,by the Fans,by the Coaching Staff and by each other,WHY?BECAUSE the Administration have never put any working structure in youth development football up to this day.Fans  will  go all out and support  first -  then blast them after a bad performance. Look at support Mexico had, that is a big factor in sport MEXICO their fans killed our players and we stood by and watched I myself, shame on me.The Coaching Staff pretended to know what they were doing but the players showed exactly what they  were practicing, they just tried to keep possession of the ball in their half, and we lost the ball a lot, even when we had numbers to go forward. The players themselves  showed that they did not work on their own physically, to prepare for a tournament like this.
To make a long story short Mexico U20 is playing in the Dallas Cup against Everton FC of England,Paris St. Germain of France and Cortiba FC of Brazil, what is our U20 players doing? Are we going to wait to kill our players when they meet MexicoU20 like we are doing know OR  will we ever understand what we are up against?

Coops I worked with three clubs in Trini and all three are owned by  millionaires, two were construction companies, and almost all the other club owners were  business men with some money, you said that it is  the league that  have no money, but the  government have money and they support the league. So help me understand that.We must find the solution.

BUSINESS IS SELLING AND BUYING,If We cannot market or sell our pro league to  other countries then we cannot attract outside players,if our local clubs are not willing to hire scouts to get better players, They will not attract foreign investors,If foreign investors comes into the pro league, the local business man will want to get in,that's  how our people think. If that is not done then we cannot raise our local players standards, because the competition level is only a small group of footballers,The first five years of the pro league was very competitive, lots of foreign players, our local players had to work very hard to make the teams, not now. This is only a small part of the professional approach. :banginghead:

I was once told by my Head coach in Trini, that as a coach you must know what menu you would want to cook and the ingredient that is needed for the food to look good and taste good, then and only then you will have people begging for more, lining up waiting for hours to get inside. Our coaches don't know what menu to prepare and the players to used to get the right taste.STUART CHARLES  have never gone away from his menu.

Football / Who's to blame
« on: November 18, 2011, 10:17:46 AM »
The Players are not to be blamed, If they are Club before Country players and the Coach and his Staff selects them,The Coach and his Staff are not to be blamed if they are of the belief that it is all about the Money and at least them small islands cannot beat we,and the TTFF still contracts them,The TTFF is not to be blamed if the never had and will never have a proper football development and transparency programme in place, and the Clubs and its members continue to elect them,The Clubs and its members are not to be blamed when they still believe Trinidad and Tobago football players are world class,so we do not need to invest financially in good grass roots coaches, because the Fans and the Supporters continue to support them,The Fans and the Supporters are not to be blamed because we don't play we PAY. :banginghead:

Football / Speaking the truth about crowd support
« on: April 01, 2011, 08:35:01 AM »
I sat on the bench as coach of Naparima College against schools, like st Benidects,Presentation College,St.Augstine,Signal Hill,Arima and San Juan to name a few, nobody came to see me or any of the coaches and the feeling i got every time was electrifying, the support for the kids was so passionate it was like coaching in the EPL,or La Liga,i looked at some of the other school derbies and i understand why kids would want to continue to play at the higher level, with a support like that or even better, the crowds came to see the players at there best, then as a player i have played in some of the best minor leagues in the country and the intensity and the crowds would be mouth watering, then i sat on the bench as coach of W.connection youth team vs a Joe Public or Jablo with these same players who have enjoyed so much support in there growing years, and you can hear a pin fall.I have watched players like Arnold,Jemmot,Whitley and Marvin Oliver all grow up and they would tell you they enjoy playing in front a crowd support rathered than playing professionally with 100 people in attendance. So if we have to succeed in getting the best out of our players and not wanting them to be drawn back to feelings of the SSFL and the Minor leagues, we have to first find a way to draw to crowds, then the player not the player first, that have failed.Any suggestions? ;)

« on: April 01, 2011, 06:37:07 AM »
Nothing is wrong with what you said Coops, that's just the way it is, You never said what Marvin did was right or wrong, but how Terry should feel now that he got the axe,Terry has his fans, and so too has Marvin Oliver,Marlon Warner and they play for the people not Fenwrick, i know those guys and San Juan Jablotech is not the club that i used to know, what about Otis who played his heart out for the people. When you are a professional coach your bag must always be packed.Nice knowing you Terry,a nice person off the field but a total communist Dictator on the field. I mentioned Marlon Warner i know he never played for Jablo, but he is a people choice.

Football / Speaking the truth about Managing and Coaching PART1
« on: April 01, 2011, 05:53:03 AM »
I manage Kenwyn Jones along with Devon Leacock,Roderick Anthony,Kerron Phillip,Hughton Hector,Kern Cupid,Jason Marcano,Jan Michael Williams all on the same team and i won lots of trophys all i had to do was manage them. So we have to be very careful how we interpret Managing and Coaching.I coached Javid Mohammed,Seon Samuel,Renato Ramlochan,Sherrick Hilliaire,Leston Shade in 2006 to the national SSFL big five championship against all odds,i had to coach them.Let us give who is deserving of it it's just reward to be called a good Coach or a good Manager.Trinidad teams AT THIS TIME are in need of good Coaches not Managers.Any suggestions? ???

I don't believe we should used this man wealth of experience to be the head coach, T.D is better for the long term future of TnT.We know all to well that we are not going to get the results we all would like in the near future and then we get rid of him because that is what our history shows.Stuart Charles for head coach,Terry Fenrick Asst, coach Clayton Ince goal keeper coach.

The Lotto was worth $1 million and i win $20 dollars,That is the win WE jumping up for, but look who still in charge of the football, them could pay that $20 and then what. When we vote them out then i will feel that we really win,I am happy for those guys, hope they make the most of it because nobody will not get any promises of bonuses again.Fellars let we give a small hand clap and stay focus nah.

Our players must be consistant Snr. team starters to have any possible chance, and then it is what the coaches are looking for compared to what they already have.Kerry Baptiste has a lot of caps?

The standard of U.S soccer is not much higher than the Pro. League but it is much more competitive at all levels of professionalism, that is hard for most of our players to deal with on a regular base. Most of our star boy players forget that they still have to compete for their place outside of Trinidad.

Let us give the coach credit for seeing a weakness of TNT football at all levels and at least working on it, this drill if YOU would understand calls for a  lot of concentration not just passing.I can call the whole national senior team including the overseas players that cannot pass the football, and even some of you who tried to make a national team in your time did not make. This is a reflection of our lack of proper development,So why pressure the kids when WE RAN away and now pelting stones for a claim to FAME.They played in a World Cup with heart and soul.

Football / Dallas Cup 2011. Is it worth it?
« on: January 03, 2011, 02:21:16 PM »
The Dallas Cup have extended the International invitation deadline to Jan 11,I suggest the national under20 and under17 teams to continue the preparations. We can compete against quality oppositions such as teams from Brazil,England, Korea and other countries.US$1100 per team is a small cost to pay to start the New Year right.  :-\-*
