David Lawrence is a great Coach! The man put the USA out of the World Cup. What does it matter if the man knows how to make his team play good football..that doesn't matter at all.

The final score was 2-2 ...so what?

..is a Friendly...

I really don't understand why these schools would go thru all this trouble when the standard of football is so low...it's not worth the trouble.

Personally I feel that these Principals should travel to Africa and bring back to Trinidad some talented players ..those players need help and many of them could speak six languages..look at those U17 African teams in the U17 WC them fellas look like grown men and play football like grown men.

I really don't care about Shiva but this is a bucket of BS ..so what ..a kid played a club match and the school is penalized to that degree..this is school boy football ..it's for the the kids.  :bs: :bs: :bs:

I am trying to figure out what is the reason for this whole charade set up by both Federations. I feel forr the Mexican fans who paid money to watch this nonsense.. I can't believe they would go to such lengths to set up Winchester.

The push into youth development is very positive. I have been watching the youth series on Sundays.
The modern game is a bit different from times past therefore we have to get it right at the youth level.

In youth development TIME and SPACE are the two most important factors for their development. These two factors affect their SPEED of PLAY.

We cant have young kids playing full field 11 v 11.

Mr Technical Director it's quite simple to do your research and find out the appropriate field size for the age group...if you can't find the information inbox me and I will be happy to provide it.

Football / Re: T&T Youth Pro League Thread.
« on: July 23, 2017, 02:13:43 PM »
The youth system of football is coming up very short . The lack of a consistent philosophy in player development has produced inconsistent results.

The youth leagues are all well and good but without a clear vision for the final product would only continue to
breed mediocrity.

The Pro league,Super league and National teams all reflect this. Why do we continue to go along the same path without trying  make change ?

The head coaches,Technical Directors and people in charge of Football Organizations should try to work together to make real change in the area of Youth player development.

We are falling far behind in this area and we have the potential to do far better.

Jamaica  and Trinidad suffering from a similar football disease ..both countries lack the ability to play basic football..

Jamaica dont know the first principle of control and pass..the Coach employed a bunch of woodcutters, cement workers and sprinters to run around like brutes..

a strategy of disrupting and battering the opponent until the final whistle..

TnT we want ah goal..TnT we want ah goal.. was the hopeful chant of  a handful of Trinidad and Tobago fans clad in red, who made the trip 5000ft above sea level in Denver Colorado. The TnT fanatics were doing to best to spur on their  hapless warriors who  seemed to be all out of sorts, maybe it was the due to the fact that they were unaccustomed to the cooler temperatures, the height above sea level or both.
From the first whistle the Soca Warriors, as they are affectionately called, seemed unable to cope with the guile and quickness of Chris Pulisic who on the night made the casual onlooker compare him to the likes of Lionel Messi , Andres Iniesta, Francesco Totti or a combination of all three.
The clinical display of skill, tactical execution and precise finishing leads one to believe that Bruce Arena is nothing short of a football genius.....

I didn't know USL teams had money to pay players..anyway a warmup against some College kids.. I wonder
what positives could be taken away from that experience?

I am not convinced.

I wish the team all the luck...I know that Dennis Lawrence is a big Coach from Everton but I still feel from the footage the training look like Trinidad level..School boy level even.

If yuh training/practicing at altitude, time, intensity, and recovery should be qualitative vs quantitative.

The USA coming to do de business quick, fast and in a hurry.

Too bad the goal was disallowed..but we got caught napping..we have to do better than that...we still in the fight we have points on the board.

Best wishes to Trinidad and Tobago tomorrow. I hope that we can win but a draw would be good enough for me.
To win would require a tall effort and that would be a tall order after coming off a hard game on Friday. We can't play with Jones up front if you want to win because we have to press;

We cant commit too many going forward so we need pace on the wings and in the middle so we cant use Edwards.

We need players who could hit from outside so ...

Anyway Good Luck Tallest we need it. Just remember Dont Get Caught Napping.

Wah kind ah question...Can T+T qualify...Yes of course.

The question should be ..would T+T qualify..I would say not likely..it's a bit of a stretch..if we do Dennis Lawrence is a boss coach.

I like the squad and I think that the Coach's use of statistics will bear fruit. I also feel that Boatswain is a true
Striker.

It's now left to be seen what Strategy the Coach employs to get the required results.

Best of luck Coach.

I must say a much improved performance ..I must commend the Coach and his staff in making the appropiate adjustments...The improvements were made in all phases of the match..the score line should have been at least four goals in our favour...

Finishing was our downfall and sometimes we were a bit impatient with our possession.. but all in all an excellent performance.

Congratulations on the win.

Brian Williams looks like a nice fella ...he is a legend of Trinidad and Tobago Football..he has a lot of knowledge to impart to young players ....but.......

as a coach/strategist/tactician he is coming up short in these areas:

Pressing
Transitioning from defensive third to attacking third
Possession
Change in the Point of Attack
Penetration and Finishing
Winning the ball back

The score line was not a true reflection of the game...we played with an average of seven players behind the ball throughout the entire game.
