Guyana is caribbean culture ..true but they can walk to Brazil.. they can drive to Suriname ..yet their level has always been very low.If they can beat us what does that tell you.. they never qualified for any major tournament in their history until Shabazz. That doesn't mean they have a caribbean brand because of their culture. If you want to know what is the caribbean brand watch as many caribbean games as you possibly can for as far back as you can take it then you'll begin to see a certain style..Everbody has their own brand/style/ideas,however football is football..music is music but they are many diffent styles/brand/genre whatever you want to call it..

I have been hoping and praying for Trinidad football for years and was an optimist for years but as I age I realize it's a lost cause. Back in the mid seventies we had a very strong national team..guys like Burt Neptune,Brian Haynes Didier Chance..so many good players ..what happened to them? Brian is coaching the Atlanta Silverbacks.Nobody remembers them ..their level wasn't duplicated nor built on..the eighties saw the young talent of Faustin,Latapy,Yorke etc..Latapy never reached his potential of greatness internationally..Faustin never reached his potential for greatness nationally..we can talk about the vast amounts of talented players that never achieved greatness for the red white and black..Colin Rock,Ivan Sampson,Gerry Vidale,Ian Clausel,Russel Sutton,Sean Walkes,Polycarp Alexander..the list goes on..why does the list of talented players tend to grow in this football wasteland? No development programs. We are a nation of so much yet we suffer.Bob Marley said  "in the abundance of water the fool is thirsty" we Trinis are the fools. We are made the fools by people like Jack Warner and now soon to be made fools of by Tim Kee it's inevitable because we were made fools of before Jack Warner. Many of the players realize that they were used and abused while the non-player reap huge financial rewards..so they quit and they go into some other activity..Crime is so high in this nation just think if we had real development programs ..there would be a real future in football for the player and the nation. Instead we have this  thing called tt Pro League which is a terrible waste because the quality is poor and not improving and the league is not progressing. We need to take a hard look at what we are doing, what we have done in the past and decide what can we do different in the future. It is not possible to keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result.

Jones is not a real striker he can play the role in England but really can't do it for Trinidad because we don't play that style and we don't have the players who can provide that type of service. If Yorke had problems and he was a true striker what about poor Jones who is nowhere in the class of Yorke.

I saw Jamaica play Mexico at de Azteca..despite haveing six foreign born on their team they still playing that carribbean brand.Best of luck to them they are representing the region well. Right now Trinidad playing that Guyanese brand as you know Guyana is in south america..

We will not get out of the first round in the Gold Cup, unless the  football mafia rig up the thing  so that we could advance. That kind of football that I saw there ..where people just running thru the midfield with so much time and space..the people had so much time that they were able to run with ball ..pass the ball to self..then pass to a teammate who had time and space to receive and pass to himself before setting up a shot.This kind of football where players make way for their opponents..where there is virtually no genuine striker..no defensive midfield and no real sweeper.. should not be tolerated in Trinidad and Tobago. There was one or two good purposeful attacking developments from the midfield but no forward line ...none whatsoever..

I wonder what kind of preparation would we be doing for this tournament? I hope it wouldn't be a free for all.. two weeks before the tournament with all kind a people from all across de globe. I hope that they could work with the local guys and build them up because those are the guys who will do it for us.

so much cussing..I can't blame allyuh..anyway..Jan still needs to work on dat in trainin..it's good to discover this problem sooner than later. I never said he was the reason why we lost..I never said that he wasn't a good keeper,and I never said that he didn't lead us to de Finals. I believe that mistakes are made when you know exactly what to do in a situation but decided on doing something else. I saw a keeper who didn't know what to do on both occasions when a long range shot came at him from deep.That tells me that he is weak in this area and needs to work on that.

Jan Michael didn't make a mistake..the man demostrated that he can't handle the long range shots..I saw that he had problems with both long range efforts; he needs to work on that in training not technical training which entails shot blocking but tactical which increases the level of difficulty by adding the element of surprise.This man supposed to be a full professional. I have seen goal keeper errors made due to lapse in concentration,however this is not the case.

It is not fair to the players who worked hard to get to the CFU finals to have to make way for foreign pros; if you say yuh is a big coach use the players yuh have and win de damn ting. Shabazz needs to go back to Guyana.

I am glad for the result. If it weren't for the work put in by Charles and his team we wouldn't have gone thru to the Gold Cup. The team doesn't need Shabazz. They played a nice indirect brand unlike that nonsense I saw against the host nation.What I am seeing is that the players need some speed training/plyometrics,the fellas know enough football they need to be quicker- stronger-faster ,that comes with repetitive training with speed ladder,low hurdles,agility poles etc. Give them lots of this kind of training everyday as a warm up for 20mins to build muscle memory.They also need at least one day out of the week for pilates and massage therapy. Go Warriors.

Clayton Morris would have supported Charles b/c he recognized the fact that the team was in a "rebuilding phase" that means that players and coach are bonding..going from strength to strength..players learning to trust the coach.. then suddenly in comes a big time coach in Shabazz to undermine that and throw a big monkey wrench in a fragile situation . That is Trinidad..always reinventing the wheel.

Charles is such a nice fella.. if I were him I would have made a statement that I don't want a partner I already have a staff and if you want to replace me..then do so..but I would not have worked with Shabazz to be a part of this nonsense.

The only way forward is to get rid of Shabazz and let Charles do his thing but it's too late now. I never felt in my mind that Shabazz is good for our football,he should stay in Guyana. Why don't the people of Trinidad and Tobago can't understand the differences among .. football,leadership and football leadership?

I knew this would be the result of bringing Shabazz as a co-coach , this is the first time I ever heard of this title but I felt that Hudson Charles was doing a fantastic job. He had his own vision, then sombody decided to add Shabazz, I don't have anything against Shabazz but Charles should have been left alone. The end result was mass confusion. Why do I have to continuously frustrate myself , doesn't anybody else able to see this type of nonsense and stop it before it happens? Oh Gawd Man!

Hear nah is seven goals Steve David score in that tournament and allyuh couldn't show one?The man score in almost every game to include a hattrick against the Netherlands Antilles.Allyuh tong people eh easy.The second half in that same match Archibald score one and Steve David.Big up south people too nah.Gally was one of the few north men on that team.That team had about ten players all from south and and almost all from the greatest football school in Trinidad history..St Benedict's College..David,Archibald,Douglas,Khan,Rondon,Cupid; Carpet and Peter Mitchell Sando Tech ,among others.The way how tong people big up Gally like he was Trinidad's Pele..that was ah man called Leroy Deleon..he refused to play in that tournament b/c Jack Warner is a tief.

Why didn't the Football association and the govt take the same amount of money ..no, half that amount and say they are preparing a team for 2018 world cup? No..the people don't have that kind of vision..they want to fool the public..pilfer their hard earned tax dollars and give it to a white man who wants to get a team of foreigners to reepresent Trinidad and Tobago.This is so that Mr Warner could fill his pockets by selling tickets,airfare and hotel. JACK WARNER is the biggest CROOK in Trinidad he is behind this nonsense it's world cup time and now is the time for him to make lots of money.He has used Trinidad football for his own monetary gain,now he is using the govt for the same reason.Why don't Mr Corneal talk about the real issue.What de hell does the German way have to do with anything? I said it before and I'll say it again.Latapy has no vision.I predicted at the time of his appointment that he wouldn't succeed.His body language alone showed insecurity.He didn't really have a clue.Coaching is hard work,it's not like making a stew.Latapy's idea of coaching is mainly about finding the right mix of players.In Trinidad football that doesn't work because we don't have enough players on that level.We have to really coach,teach and preach to the players to get what you want from them.We need experience coaches,myself,Jan Steadman,Fenwick,Hart,Dick Furlonge,St Claire,Fevier,Zagalo,Arena,Schellas Hyndman,Valcourt,Siasia,and Gorman.These are some of the names of coaches with vision.Latapy is not ready because he has limited coaching experience.

I am sorry to hear that so many people crying down Latapy.Coaching is difficult.Everyone is entitled to an opinion but I don't feel that anyone who is not an expert in the field (like the minister of sport) make such harsh remarks about a football coach.Politicians should encourage and not discourage.Latapy on the other hand lacks vision as a coach.I  predicted failure for Latapy.International football is not the same as pro football.Latapy needs to take courses and assist an international coach.There are more qualified coaches in Trinidad than Latapy but they also have the same problem...no vision..if the coach doesn't have an end goal then the team goes nowhere.Soca Warriors would go nowhere under Latapy.Bertille had vision (not creative);Jan Steadman had vision(never got the chance);There is absolutey nobody in Trinidad who could take Trinidad football to the next level.It's hopeless.Foreign coaches are also problematic because they are limited in resources.Beenhaker did a fair job but didn't trust his players b/c he knew about their inherent flaws and inconsistencies.Trinidad Football under the present administration has a bleak future.Jack Warner is the cause of all of this mess.We do not have a philosophy..we are going NOWHERE.
