Football / Latapy is not ready for this level of Coaching

Experience should not be gained at the expense of the players on the National team.This not good for the players' confidence.I believe that a coach has to go through a lot at lower levels before getting a National outfit.Latapy was given this opportunity because he is who he is.Coaching is a different ball of wax.

Cost Rica is three goals better than us but we were able to come away wih a draw in a warm up match.I guess what Mr Shabazz is suggesting that his team did quite well to hold off a better team.Costa Rica is a Concacaf team and we should be able to play with them on their level.We need to evaluate our youth development system and make it better.Maybe we could find out what countries like Costa Rica,Mexico and Brazil are doing and implement something.These countries have limited financial resources yet they are consistently better than us.

Youth Development is the only way forward for Trinidad and Tobago to be sucessful at the next level.Mr Warner spent millions on his Joe Public Club,if he would spend half of that on a youth Development program Trinidad would be better for it.It is also important for coaches to be educated;Many coaches who coach kids are not qualified. Trinidad and Tobago celebrated 100yrs of Football,yet there isn't a philisophy of coaching. Jamaica have gone ahead of us,they have a National Coaches Association.. when will we lead the way?
