Club football is the root and branch of the international game, the question posed here is a valid one, and one that should be discussed.

I only hope it doesn't extend outward, diplomatically and otherwise, to affect every Trini.

It's a real situation, even if you choose not to believe it. It's all politics at the end of the day, and that's what makes the world the way it is... we should really not be surprised if a backlash ensues.

Just a thought...

One of the best I ever see and had the opportunity to play alongside and against before he leave QRC to go to Saints is a fella by the name of Kirk Carrington...

Was a very skilled, quick player.... Good at that level, but it's tough to tell which players could really go on further.   

Agreed... ah take dat assessment back, but dat fella, man, we play in de same side against ah invitational Fatima 11 on dem grounds once, and eh, is real men was quakin' every time I feed him... Men was bawlin for him not to shoot, or pass...

A real pleasure to play alongside...

Another time too, we end up on the same squad in a small sweat on the small field on QRC grounds...

we win a corner, and I was goin' to take it, he say nah, he go take it, and ask me to hold de first post, quiet quiet... yuh believe is like he was readin my mind, he play de ball low and hard straight at me, only for me to tap in into an empty net, nobody had a clue what happen, everybody was expectin' a typical corner, except the keeper of course who had to pick it out...

My only regret is not really pushin' to play for QRC, but still, Carrington, yeah man, dat fella is a baller...

Shame he went to Saints though... but still, yeah... boss player...
