Lalla blames English attorney for delay
T&T Newsday Reports.

Om Lalla, attorney for the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation (TTFF) has blamed Mike Townsley, who represents the players, for the delay in reaching an agreement on the payment of monies owed to them from the 2006 World Cup campaign.
i though they "were already paid"
Lalla said yesterday that because of Townsley’s breach there is a need to seek another hearing. In the meantime the matter is expected to abide the process of time, as any other matter being heard presently.

The TTFF attorney also lashed out at Townsley for criticisms he leveled against the TT judicial process.
Thats exactly what the TTFF & JW wanted

Big deal! last week mexico played equador in the new red bulls stadium in east rotherford/ medowlands. there was ah huge fight after the game and ah spanish run his car into ah crowd ah ppl killing one and injuring 15. it was news for ah couple hrs, and after that, no one cares.

it will take ah lot for the world tuh see trinbagonians as animals. doh fret, we eh nowhere close tuh claiming that title....... yet!

as ah matter of fact, ppl here in north america see us ah party animals and good time charlies. jamaicans on the other hand is pretty close tuh making/ being on that bad behavior list.

first we need tuh get by mexicans, peurto ricans, black yankee , columbians, irish, nigerians, Dominicans , haitians, cubans , italians , pakistanis , ethnic albanians , salvadorians and russians.

doh worry, we still have the party animal image on lock, with no sign of losing the title anytime soon.

Warner pledges help for Jamaica football.
T&T Guardian Reports.

Concacaf President Jack Warner is pledging his support to the Jamaican Football Federation insisting that the JFF will weather the impending storm of financial uncertainty that surrounds its future.

Warner made the pledge following an emergency meeting with the President of the Jamaican Football Federation Captain Horace Burrell and JFF General Secretary Horace Reid at the Concacaf Port-of-Spain office this morning. The JFF is currently facing a financial debt which has accumulated over successive years.

Earlier this month, the JFF diverted funds from its March wage bill in order to pay over J$850,000 to a bailiff—intent on seizing company assets—as part of the £12,000 settlement ordered by a Central London County Court almost two years ago for outstanding fees due to the England-based NVA Management Limited. This debt was incurred under the former JFF administration following a Jamaica vs England tour in 2006.

“It is imperative that Concacaf and the CFU step in to assist the JFF. This is an unacceptable situation we find ourselves in. Despite this fact, we cannot allow our member to sink further into a sea of uncertainty. Football is a family.

A common bond connects us. The growth of football in the region is interlinked and the survival and continued growth of the game in the Caribbean will be affected by how we handle this JFF situation.” Warner has vowed to continue working with the JFF on this matter, but as an immediate remedy, the President will assist the JFF not only in sourcing new sponsors but also negotiating new sponsorship deals with the hope of increasing its revenue stream.

President of the JFF Captain Horace Burrell has described the meeting as, “truly encouraging and hopeful.” “I would like to express our profound gratitude to the President for lending his assistance in this matter. We in the JFF have found ourselves in a precarious situation. Since resuming office in 2007 my administration has tried to erode this situation we have inherited.

While we have achieved some measure of success, we understand that it cannot continue.” Burrell revealed at this morning’s meeting that several staff members of the JFF have not been paid since last year November and a number of programmes have been downsized as a result of the current situation.

interesting how TTFF still broke & need sponsors yet JW is still able to pull a rabbit out the hat for someone else ;)

Our finta and rossi jerseys lookin as good as any of them big name brand jerseys. Plus we could probably get a little customization instead of these generic jerseys adidas has given us

Yes they do , but the big name brand comes with big name financial and equipment support as well.

The team runs though practices with the world cup kit & plays games in the newer kit does that seem like big equipment ?
don't get me wrong i love the fact that i can go to a store & actually pick up a T&T kit, but thats not anything big.
