Football / Re: Coach Hart to look for new blood.
« on: July 22, 2013, 08:26:40 AM »
I am amazed by Hart's statement that he could not get the fullbacks to go forward in the second half. The first half we were playing well because we were organised in defense yet creating chances. In the second half, you could clearly see a 6 man back line when we were defending. Is he saying that the players took that decision themselves after coming out for the second half? We became ultra defensive...against the coaches instructions? Confusing.

Team played well and I agree that it is time for new blood. Kenwyne can be included in that culling too as he would be 33 by next World Cup and is neither a Stern John or Dwight Yorke who we would expect to still be scoring goals at that age.

Theobald play all 3 world cup games in 2006 while Latas bench. Once Beenie involved, he not getting bench for anybody (eg Birchie or boucaud)...far less for a glam player like Guerra.

Let Anton go and coach a pro league team if he is such a good coach.

In fact, let him coach an SSFL team and see where they end up since he working with youths all these years.

Then we can compare him to all the other local coaches and see how knowledgeable he is.

Contracts? What you smokimg? Nobody watching the Gold Cup besides us.

Even the Mexican and US professional sides not taking on this tournament.

Maybe sides from Vietnam and India will give somebody a contract.

Any trainer will tell you that fitness can't be attained in two weeks.

Men who miss pre-season is have coaches claiming that is the reason they playing ta-ta all in January...

But I guesss Hart probably trying to see who fit and who not rather than get men fit.

Hart pick that side based on 2 training sessions?

Jorsling better than Gay if you want somebody to find the net, any day...but I guess we playing with one forward (Kenwyne) with Cornell off the bench again, so Gay there for the future. I doh mind that reasoning.

Coaches eh getting pay, players eh getting pay...

Anybody here really want to blame players if they put their club before country?

I am one of the most patriotic people you would ever meet...but it have no benefit for anybody to represent our national team right now if it affecting their club careers.

Maybe men like Yorke and Latas, who were established stars for their team could do that, but every one of our players fighting to be relevant at their clubs right now.

Kenwyne going anywehre next year? Or he still going to be benching at Stoke?

I wondering more about the Beenie no-show. It sounds like Beenie is a consultant, not a coach. He getting paid for his opinions rather than to work with the team.

Hart is the head coach and I don't think he has done any better than Shabazz did with Guyana.

Speaking of which, did Shabazz resign from his Guyana wuk for this nonsens?

Football / Re: Beenhakker back in charge.
« on: June 14, 2013, 07:09:42 AM »

If Beenhakker could come here and make a difference in 3 weeks then that would say a lot about Shabazz and Charles.

Every game I see since them in charge, the team has regressed to defending with only defenders. No other football team in the world do you see only defenders when the next team attacking. Even when men on the break you always see midfielders somewhere on the screen, unless is a long ball for a striker who was loafing.

Every goal we concede this year...u always seeing 4 defenders...usually scramblng at sixes and sevens. Except for the Peru game when Birchall was busting his gut.

Thus, as Beenie say..he see some simple structural issues he could address. Give him back his "house" as he called the formation.

The 2 months hadda be a money issue. Beenie eh coming cheap. Gold Cup first, then hopefully a good showing will get sponsors on board and they could use the mileage to get a "Keep Beenie" campaign going.

I don't think Lasana or Jennings ever had the paper trail though. I never heard about actual transfers to the various companies and we never had the actual figures of government money that was taken. We just know that money was missing. Are all these documents part of the court case for the Soca Warriors?

I remember when this would have been most welcome news circa 2005. Now I don't expect us to be one of the top four teams in Concacaf and further, I fraid the embarassment if we manage to get in.

« on: March 26, 2012, 10:14:15 AM »
in spite of this, the team came back from being annihilated by a very good Mexico team, to come from a goal down and get a point against Panama. Shows heart and determination in my book and still puts them in the running for a shot in the semis with a win over Honduras. A tall task no doubt, but what it is Bennie say again? "...In football 2 and 2 is almost never 4, its most of the time 3 or 5...".

Well not really. Panama is d side we suppposed to beat. That is like a side in La Liga taking & from Messi and Co. U expect that. Yeah it was bad, but we expect licks. Is do other sides besides Real and Barca who we supposed to beat regardless.
No heart and determination required for that.

So what wrong with Warner doing that if Groden can't say what happen to it after? It was cash. Jack will just say he had a meeting to go to and left it in his drawer for safe keeping. After his meeting, the money went where it was supposed to go.

This not helping build a case against Jack and Groden know that. He just say something without really saying anything.

Any side who have Shadohn Winchester coming off the bench, have goals in it.

Especially cause Caesar seems to be the super sub, so Winchester might not even be first off the bench.

And the defence has been decent for years.

Jake Thompson not u-23 btw? We throw him away or what?
