The delay may not necessarily mean that KPMG is cooking the books. KPMG could still be awaiting outstanding information from TTFF in order to finish their audit. KPMG could also be awaiting final payment before the furnish the signed audited statements (similarly to the arbitrator in England who wouldn't release his findings until the TTFF share of the fee was paid by the players).

Also, a KPMG signed audit doesn't necessarily mean that the books weren't cooked. If yuh "cook yuh books properly" the auditor isn't bound to find evidence. The type of audit they're likely having done is basically a double-check of your books to make sure no mistakes were made and that all entries are backed up. This is different from say a tax audit, which will look into the legalities of the monies you've earned and what was done with it.

And you very correct. Auditor are usually NOT is a position to cook books, the TTFF will cook the books before hand.. Auditors basically report findings.. Hence the reason why we have to look carefully at the actual audit report.

Auditing firms are SELDOM late with their audits. As a matter of fact i dare say they are NEVER late. MOST tmes, they have already done their audit, and handed it to the TTFF and now the TTFF is sticking.

I spoke to a padner of mine at PKF and they USED to handle the TTFF auditing. he advised me that i should look at the following

1. Obviously the Date on the Audit.
2. The Date on the Auditor's report as we as the Audit it self.

It is illegal to tamper with any of those, an I think KPMG should take it VERy seriously if this is done as credibility is on the line.


So lets see whats going on.

I guess high expectations can lead to great disappointment and thus ... anything thereafter ! What would be the case if your son's newly appointed primary school teacher was a disappointment in a short term evaluation ? From some of the comments here ......I guess we would call for the teacher's head ...leaving the class teacherless until we could find a replacement. ! I wonder if most people believe that coaches are breaking down the door to coach us because we have such a wonderfully talented bunch and are in an easy qualifying group ?

Let me put things in perspective ... We are in the same qualifying group as Powerhouses USA, Mexico and to a lesser extent Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica and Honduras.
Our talent pool has not attracted much attention with the majority of our " Professionals " getting opportunities at levels below the top in their respective foreign countries. Folks we eh have no Latapy or Dwight Yorke to call on  !!! I see men calling for Beenie .... unless he could gears up and play like Ronaldo ..he kyah help dis bunch ....and why would he want to when tings going OK in Poland ? ...ah mean he doing just what he has always done in major competition .... he never win ah game with any team he coach and since his team has modest expectations, he reach by qualifying for Euro already .... just like he did for de soca warriors when our expectations were just to get there ... and we had Hislop, latapy , Yorke and a fit Carlos.

Dese fellas like babies in dis competition ...some of them are now making their debuts ...in ah WC competition... if we change de coach now I feel it will have a negative influence on de players ..... and before the next game ? all yuh kyah be serious ?
Folks you can take a horse to water but you kyah make him drink .....  I did not see the game so I cant comment but from reports on the facts ...we muffed quite a lot of opportunities to kill off the game. Allyuh forget how dis team was doing before Maturana came here ?

Sorry I kyah support de call for de coach's head ...not now anyway ...we win together and we lose together at this point ..... and if we lose so be it ...it have more going on outside the field of play to distract many a top footballer anyway and it is not all the coach's fault.

weary, do you know that 3-5-2 if executed properly by the players is actually 3 central defenders with the wingers tracking back in defence.

This effectively makes it a system that rotates between 5-3-2 in defence and 3-5-2 in attack.

If the players adhere to the system correctly, a 3-5-2 in no way weakens the defensive posture of a team.

I'm saying this in the hope that you and the many other posters on the board who have not even seen the game nor the training sessions could refrain from the unfounded and baseless tactical assumptions.

Lets first watch the game before we comment on tactics.

As you said, ONCE Executed properly.  For it to wok for us, men hadda be super fit, and some have to have some sense..
