Both Fatima and St Benedict’s will travel to Jamaica in January for the Caribbean High School Championships to face Jamaica College and Clarendon College, the top two schools in the country. The tournament will begin on January 13 and conclude on January 15 as the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) and the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) reignite the partnership and rivalry between TT and Jamaica.
:beermug: Not the total solution, but I like the step.

If yuh can't bury a penalty it will cost you. It shoulda never come down to penalties. Tite fault it reach pens, he didn't adjust anything. Isolated wing play all day which croatia handled well.

Brazil really best on the counter-attack -- b/c 1v1 or even 2v4 they likely to score and Croatia keep the 10 in the box. I think Argentina will struggle similarly and fall to the same fate.

Brazil playing with style. Can they also be ruthless. Harder tests ahead if they want to win it but that was enjoyable.
I guess they were ruthless in the first half.
What allyuh think about all the dancing. I see Paqueta dance, celebrate with teammates, go down on his knees and pray, get up and dance some more.

Ronaldo still trying to figure out how to take a free kick

yeah, Brazil are a joy to watch and the ramp up in competition I find is favorable for them. Serious, serious contenders for the cup if not favorites at this point IMO. Don't follow social media too much but you think the dancing is related to the Vinny criticism earlier this year or last year was it?

That was an interesting offside call against Brazil today. Sorry Vini goal got chalked off, man plays at high speed and taking the softest of touches to keep the ball close.  That's why yuh can't be lazy coming back from an offside position, Richarlison.
Brazil could play a little better, Paqueta didn't look like the man to fill Neymar shoes.
Portugal Uruguay was good too. Good day of football.

you missin out on some great games. i almost caught all of them. Canada, Japan and Ecuador playing some good ball. Spain, Brazil and France on another level. And now hopefully England shut our Yankee neighbors up for a lil while.

I think the Mods should at least pin the thread as the biggest event in world football that only happens once every 4 years is going on.
Having said that, watching Costa Rica get totally outclassed right here by Spain, like they don't even belong on the same field, really brings home the point of where we start to rebuild in TnT.
I think I now coming around to see where others was saying for a long time -- maybe our phase 1 should be the U17WC -- work hard on producing a team that could belong on the same field there.

watched St Benedict's beat Fatima this evening. Tarik Lee's hattrick showed how much he stood above the others on the field. Bobcombe and Ochoa I believe might be tidy players as well. Fatima's keeper Edwards mightn't be too bad, but at times shows really poor positioning -- likely a result of lack of good goalkeeping coaching.
Wish we had a way to step the one or two gems like Lee up to the next level Maybe Yorke and Latapy could grab one or 2 of them.

I liked the little run out. wouldn't be surprised if there's a slight uptick in offers/contracts for our players on that side of the world as a result. (always a good thing).

Tajikistan 115 ranking lends some credence to the ranking system.

How so? Were they notably inferior?

I haven't seen the September ranking, but last month they were above 115. We should have the aim of entering the 90s and figuring out an ascent to cracking 70.
Nope, just meant that the teams on the field didn't look leagues apart. Always wondered about that in terms of teams from different federations that don't face each other often.

No problems- In TNMT all badges are welcome- whether you earned it as a boy scout or from an unknown source or otherwise, you can coach any team just apply to TTFA or Normalization committee and ask for  payments in US $$$ and man  you good to go.
References not necessary-  are you prepared to be  underpaid as a local? are you willing to work for deferred payments? if yes to any of the above apply within. Results not  important. as long as your services are available for a low cost.

One really has to wonder how is it that one entity could monopolize the governance of this sport? Operating like the IMF,  if you pump up assets in countries, you most likely have to protect those assets and look for returns.
...

Like professional leagues in UK, Europe and North America, what if countries wanted to  have independent  world tournaments  not sanctioned by FIFA? I think after these years, it it time to  revamp and  counties rid themselves hostage of  a monopolizing world body  that acts like a super power in this sport!!!

so Fifa overturn the election and install a normel committee, watch like a hawk for gov't "intervention" in the football affairs, then submit their operating expenses budget to my gov't normel, normel?
we in 2022 for Heaven's sake -- look other places gettin thru with equal pay for women and men. surely we could do better for the long-term good of the game.

We had no draft pics for 2022

You self. When is de last time we had a player who was drafted? Maybe Nicholas Walker in 2014? Dem days seem to be long gone. We ent have much players in NCAA Div I, and those that are there either not getting much minutes or not performing at the required level to pique the interest of the clubs.
Good compact dose of reality for those of us who wasn't paying as close attention. Thanx 2 u both.

International Friendly #1 (Dominican Republic vs Trinidad and Tobago)

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/jvqQg4r3DcM" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/jvqQg4r3DcM</a>
Thanks for this link.
Who was #11? (#s would have been helpful too).
I find they dominated large swathes of the middle of match [i'm sure stats on shots on goal etc would bear witness] and conceded a defensive blunder/ lapse in concentration goal. Having said that I didn't see any tactical adjustments or plan or anything to suggest that this team is going anywhere (yet)-- just individually talented / physically stronger players here and there that can string passes together...most-times.

The football market is an intriguing commercial space. Trimmingham is locked into employment ... Muckette is locked out of employment. Apples and oranges? Yes, but fruits on similar vines.

Muckette must not want to go to India.

I think it might be saying something. just like Trimmingham in late August of this year get "converted" to striker...to leading his team to victory with a brace today. That says something about character. Although I didn't like how he play for T&T, must have something there.

didn't see him come on for that match. was he even on the bench? their defense seem pretty solid, made up entirely of south american internationals. Does he get playing time for this squad? (or did sheriff just recently buy some more defenders to push keston down the order)?
