cool out on the racist comments...many of the central american countries have guerillas fighting against each other across each other borders...El Salvador and Honduras even fight a 6 day war over a football game, so is uncool to lump everybody and say dem latinos doh like we.  Treat each man on his own merit.

I really cah see how dis is even worth a discussion. If yuh ask a Trini "Who is T&T's best ever player?" you are NOT going to hear 'Nakhid' comin out dey mout.

It had a fella called Karl Marx and his philosophy say that the majority of people usually wrong.

Football / Re: What separates us from the USA and Mexico is....
« on: September 05, 2005, 08:34:26 AM »
The biggest diference between TnT and countries like the US/Mexico is the size of the population. If we were larger we would have 10 Stern Johns, 5 Latapys, 15 Birchalls, 4 Shakas...etc. That improves your talent pool, and the local league would be much more competitive, more players would gain international club exposure etc...

No. Does have Mexico have 10 Stern Johns? Do they have any Latapys? A proper development program is what produces players of at least a certain caliber. Good players don't just automatically come out of the blue no matter how many people are playing the game. Where's China's dominance? They have at least a billion peple, How about India?

All the things you mentioned Filho, fitness, technical ability are things which every player playing organized football at any level is supposed to have. If our players don't have it it's simply because our infrastucture has allowed them to come up with a half-assed approach to the game.

I know somebody woulda come up with that point, but from that population you have to count the percentage that interested in football... so for instance, we take Brazil -180 million 100% interested in football...so you have a 180 million football population... you take US 20% interested...thaz still 50 million people...India though...if it ain't cricket or indian movies, forget it...similar situation in china

But mih boy, leh we not forget eh.. Stern man Marker was not even pon de field.. Stern did not really shake him self free to recieve any passes.

oh gosh!!! again??????  the fact that it had a man appointed to mark the man ent tell you nothin?  How much times big international men get mark out of a game?

Football / Re: What separates us from the USA and Mexico is....
« on: September 05, 2005, 08:05:43 AM »
There is ONE thing that will ALWAYS separate us from the
US and Mexico, DEPTH!

They have it, we don't!

lemme add my two cents too....what separates us from US and Mexico is that US have 250 million people, and Mexico have 71 million people...I mean that isnot the only factor, but that stacked up against us already

nah man, telemundo have to come better than that...everyboy email telemundo adn tell dem none of that ! deportes@telemundo.com

"goals by Stern John and Dennis Lawrence in the 34th and 70th minutes, respectively, led the host Trinidad & Tobago (1-2-1, 4 Points) to a 2:0 win over Panama (0-2-2, 2 Points) at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain." - concacaf.com

3 of trinidad's 7 goals so far in the campaign...not bad stern!!

Just to retort  ...so yuh call 2 goals in one game a mainly positive contribution over the 7 games we have played so far in the hex. It was a positive contribution in one game...I did say after all 10games.
opponents we were not supposed to mash up!

Football / Re: Possible trouble in the Mexico camp
« on: September 04, 2005, 02:22:49 PM »
lewwe hope so filho.
but I doh think trouble in the mexico camp...I feel them coments VBalope make unite the team and the whole country in their dislike of Babylon...as muh partner Santa cruz does always say... Babylon disgustin eh boy!?!?  dey does play 90 mins of shit and always manage to put in 2 goals somehow.

2992
thaz the same question I asked star child....Birchall might develop into that player I feel...a really solid tackler and winner of the balkl, and if he work on his passes and touch, limin' areound men like carlos and latapy. and play a lil more small goal, he might be a shadow of that player.

2993
Touches, let me give Jack his jacket and tell you that I am slowly and grudgingly beginning to accept Latapy as the best thing to happen to Trinidad's midfield...let him give me 2 more performances like that and I will be a convert.
I must add though, that Nakhid didn't get his chance to be compared...and you did see that towards the end latapy wasn't even thinking about running back and putting in tackles.  How much longer we will depend on a super human performance by a defender (Sancho this time) to keep us in the game.  Remember it have two aspects to the game and no matter how much you score yourself, if the other team score more on you , you still lose.

yuh know when sides go Mexico and get licks, men does talk bout altitude and dis and dat and no oxygen and all kinda F'in B.S.  Right now as I speak I am in the US 5000 ft above sea level...and that normal...more than 1/3 of the US this high...and men on the US team from all over.
so let the US get a lil homefield advantage too nah palos...not everybody could play normal with all kinda smog and pollution in the air.

but besides all that yuh know that is the nature of rivalry...eg England -Argentina...one of them could be the very best in teh world, adn the other the very shittiest....all ah dat is left behind when they step on the field and is anybody's game.

We can say Stern has made a significant contribution to this campaign but to say it has been a mainly positive contribution....well sorry I will only admit that if we come fourth or higher after 10 games.

simple truth, if it wasn't for stern double, yesterday  woulda be Novermebr 19th pt 2...ah lie? so you wouldn't say that was positive?

With the amount of high quality chances that man has wasted this campaign we would have been in a strong 3rd place and (dare I say it) Gold cup finalists by now if he had scored 30% of them!!

alright, somebody else have to help me here and let we go back thru all the matches one by one.
USA match...me ent think stern had any real chance he throw way there
Mexico Match -  neither.
Panama match - it ent really matter cuz we win anyway ie you could only get 3 pts from a win right?.

anyway, that topic aside...we spend months and months talking about trinidad doh have a midfield...we bring in and add it up piece by piece.
How the hell you expect the man to score if he not gettin no ball?  Since when trinidad get so bold to expect they striker to score every chance given to him?  As far as I see from wathcin football, most teams does have 9 -12 shots at goal and score 2...dat doh mean men does harp on the 7-10 that they throw way...anyway I now seein myself biased on the for stern side so ah go stop...but naswer mih this one b4 I go.
we make it to the world cup, trinidad score 1 goal in teh whole tournament....who most likely score that goal?
