I don't think Greg should be brought in for the Guat game. It is too late. If or when we win, Hart should make a serious effort to bring him in. Everybody saying he is the best. He is not the best until we see him under international pressure. Allyuh remember Warner, the English guy.

Remember that other English guy... Chris Birchall? As Sam said...a scrimmage with a ProLeague team or ProLeague 11 can be arranged...

If I remembered correctly, Birchall played in a friendly against Bermuda, where he showed that he belong. I have no issue with Greg, personally, but we must see him under some kind of pressure.

Yes Birchall played in a friendly against Bermuda and Tony Warner debuted in a warm up against Iceland... The difference in those two situations and this one is we had capable players to fill their respective positions at that time. The ProLeague is in preseason with our keepers getting little to no competitive action. Our number one, Jan is still recovering from injury and I doubt will be ready for Guatemala... So if Greg (who is in good form and plays in a league on par with or better than the Pro League) is not the best option to at least fill one of the keeper positions in the squad... who would you say is...? I curious...

Football / Re: John Bostock Thread
« on: August 10, 2016, 06:18:53 PM »
A well taken cheeky freekick he scored tonight. I should also mention that on the weekend he saluted (on twitter) the Trinis who turned up at his game with a Trini flag saying, "Amazing atmosphere last night. S/o to the fans who brought the Trini flag".

The good news is he recognises the flag.

VERY strange goings on with the Bostock and FIFA situation

Everything FIFA has asked for has been provided to them

They even got a letter from the Ministry advising that Bostock is a certified citizen of T&T

Players in CONCACAF like Jermaine Jones...who was born in Germany, represented Germany at youth and U21 level, are allowed to play for the US.

So there's plenty of precedent.  Yet up to now, Bostock still cyah get clearance from FIFA to represent T&T

If ah was a cynic, ah would say that somebody deliberately blocking Bostock from playing for T&T and have help in very high places to do just that.

I suspect the same. Wish someone could lift the lid on what's really going on.

This is the heights of desperation goin on here.

Reminds me of a similar campaign for ''Ronaldinho" Roopie

Based on our keeper situation, we should be desperate.

So, none from Tobago??

I know Shane Sandy is from Tobago

With a last name like Powder....wouldn't be surprised if Noah is from Tobago as well

Not sure about anyone else.

His parents or parent could be from Tobago, but he was born in the US.

The man could at least get a look... There is a dearth of quality keepers and we can't afford to leave any stone unturned. Andre Boucaud was neglected for many years because he was playing in the lower leagues. He still plays in the lower leagues, but Hart took a chance and now he is a vital player in our midfield. Greg obviously has potential and is performing well for his club... If we have another friendly before Qualifiers, it won't hurt to give him a call up.

He came on in the 61' and changed the game against NE Revolution. He scored in injury time to put Orlando ahead, but NE got a controversial penalty soon after to tie the game...2-2.

Ok, ah get blast for meh last lineup, leh meh try ah next one, some man want to put two unfit players back from long injuries together on de field at de same time. SVG have some fast players that will burn them.

Hyland and Boucaud might be solid, but together they play slow and take long in transition, we need some fire in midfield. Ah love Levi, but I wouldn't start him today, we have to take we time with him.

Anybody working on modifying the lineup options? Would be nice to get some variety in the mix.

M. Phillip
T. Hodge
K. Villaroel
A. Jones
D. Cyrus
J. Williams
S. De Silva
K. Hyland
H. Hector
M. Joseph
S. Winchester

Subs:
Elijah Belgrave for Triston Hodge
Andre Ettienne for Kevon Villaroel
Leston Paul for Sean De Silva
Nathaniel Garcia for Hughtun Hector
Curtis Gonzales for Daneil Cyrus
Makesi Lewis for Marcus Joseph

Nice line-up. Are  Villaroel and Jones central defenders or utility players?

Interesting to see Hyland's club releasing for this game when they're in season. I wonder how he managed to pull that off?

The Belgian Pro League season ended yesterday.

Today was the final game day of the Jupiler League season and Hyland and Westerlo escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth, with a 1-0 victory against 12th place Waasland-Beveren. They were at the bottom of the league for most of the season and needed nothing but a win to stay up. Unfortunately the win came at the expense of Soca Warriors prospect John Bostock's team. OH Leuven needed just a tie to avoid relegation, but were defeated 1-0 at home by league leaders Club Brugge.
