Football / I feeling like TrueTrini. BSC should be replaced
« on: March 27, 2005, 10:40:25 AM »
Being one of his biggest supporters, I was always hoping for the best. Changing him would have been disastrous before the final round started. We would have repeated our same mistakes yet again.
But now it seems that we would not have done much worse had we really replaced him.

This rounds its all about the results.
If we cant take an away point off Guatemala, what chance do we have vs USA, MEX, CR??
Even worse, to collect 5.
If it was  narrow defeat, I woulda say ok, maybe some bad luck as usual, give hime till Wed, being only 3-4 days away. No change will make that much of an impact.
Plus we may get back some of the missing players.
But we sinking fast.
BSC always saying trust him, we will qualify, but that trust is real hard to give now.
If we keep him till Wed, and somehow we manage to pulll off a win, they might keep him, but will that be good in the long run for the next 7 games?
I will accept that Triniman and Sub were right, he should have been replaced.
Whatever the TTF decide to do now for Wed, I cool with that.
But we have to win on wednesday, no 2 ways about that.
Anything less than a win, BSC will surely be fired. Then we will have 2 months before the next set of games, good a for a new coach (considering the circumstances), but then we will be effectively out the race, having to hope we can win 2 games on the road and draw another.
Question is - who would replace BSC at this point?
I hear the name Fenwick come up, he did some lovely work woth Jab, even the next englishman they had after him.
I cant see any local getting that spot, unless they just give the assistants the job to take us through.
The players also have to step up big time now, to get 5-1 in an international match from Guatemala is humiliating. A lot of the blame lies with them, cause we know they can do much better.
They owe the people of T&T a good result.
5 defeats in 6 internationals.....If we dont beat CR on Wed, I will safely say that we will finsh dead last, with barely the same 5 points we got in 2001.

Lawd, 5-1! From a team that we usually beat so easily.
Even in woeful 2001, we beat them 3-1 in a friendly.
I thought it couldnt get worse than 2001, but it is quickly getting there.

Football / Whats the status with Dog, Glen and Sealy?
« on: March 27, 2005, 01:23:11 AM »
Stern like he need a lill bench warming to bring him back to his old self, the real therapy for out of form strikers.
Every striker goes through these spells.

What allyuh think of this 18, all things being equal:

Ince/Shaka

Sancho
Dog + Pierre
Avery

Edwards
Theobald + Seaton
Jones

Sealy + Glen

Subs -
Cox
Rojas
Boucard
Josh Johnson
Angus Eve
Stern John

Make no doubt about it, tonite will be destiny time for us.

We consistently not playing well, and everybody expecting to beat us.

We lucky to get into the Hex with an easy group.

We loss we first home game.

We need to get a result tonite.

Moreso for the mental state for the team, cause technically a loss wont be the end of the world, but we know how T&T does move totally on momentum.

Everybody especting us to fail.

I defending the coach and team for the longest while, hoping the same unpredictability that see us lose so much when we needed to win, will see us hit top form when it really matters.

That time when it matters is tonite.

If we cant get a result tonite, it will be the beginning of the end most likely for us.

No excuses from now, we need a point desperately at the least.

This game has the potential to determine the next 3-4 years of our football.

Football / I kinda worried about the game tomorrow
« on: March 25, 2005, 09:54:09 PM »
think about it.

Ince recovering from a broken finger, so he out of match practise, and we know any bad ball could redamage them kinda injury. So shaka betta stay uninjured in the game.

We loss Dog and now I hear bout Cox.
Avery we know can play decent, and he aint there.

In the middle, we loss one of our in form players in Theobald, plus a next man i cant remember rite now.

Up front, we also dont have Glen.
Sealey in form and not in the team.

So in essence, we going in undermanned.

Add to this, we already aint setting the place alight with our performances recently.

So if we regard the team that play in the caribbean finals the odda day as 50%, this team is about 75%.

I think Guat is up to full strength, missing jus one player witha  suspension too.

It will be very hard.

Football / Timeout fellas. This new forum
« on: March 22, 2005, 10:44:42 PM »
personally kinda boring to me.

I know it more modern and thing, and is the way to go, but I just find the vibes gone.

A big part of the old forum was logging on and seeing everybody post and replies in one page. man could look for the shit talk and picong and jump in where they want.
Or men could talk serious ball if they want.

This new format, you only see the first post topic, nothing else.

To me it too formal.

That is not Trinidad, especially a place where we like to ole talk.

I missing seeing truetrini and triniman at it, KMC and Sam cussing it out in public, Winnipeg fury, RF and Bimblast posting some kinda thing and everybody jumping on them.

Is like the vibes gone.

I personally dont have the same zeal as I used to have to visit the forum, hence this is only about my 3 rd post here.
And we in the middle of a WCQ year.
In 2001, we must have had about a million posts a day for about 6-8 months. plenty war, bacchanal, etc etc.

We killing the vibes with this formal thing.

RF was right when he say that the RBZ site had to revert to a more open format as the the more formal format drove away posters.
